“The supplication of Dhun-Nun (Prophet Yunus) when he supplicated, while in the belly of the whale was: ‘There is none worthy of worship except You, Glory to You, Indeed, I have been of the transgressors. (Lā ilāha illā anta subḥānaka innī kuntu minaẓ-ẓālimīn)’ So indeed, no Muslim man supplicates with it for anything, ever, except Allah responds to him.”
This is the dua in Arabic:

Episode 55 + Episode 56 Notes: Part 2 and Final Part
The Prophet SAW whilst Aisha RA was at her mothers, did Shura with Usama Ibn Zayd RA and Ali RA and brought witness to attest to Aisha RA’s character. Everyone testified that, Aisha RA is an honourable woman. Thus the Prophet SAW called a meeting in the Masjid, and defended the honour of Aisha RA and the character of Safwan Ibn Muattal RA in front of all the Muslims. This caused Sa’d Ibn Mu’adh RA to state that, he would happily kill Abdullah Ibn Salul, if given the order and this caused party politics to erupt in the masjid, between the Banu Aws and Banu Khazraj. The Prophet SAW then calmed the groups down in the masjid.
The Following day, the Prophet SAW went and visited Aisha RA at Abu Bakr RA’s house and informed her of the slander. He asked her to not worry if she is innocent and to do Tawbah if she slipped up. These statements caused Aisha RA to finally stop crying and she became angry at the Prophet SAW for apparently doubting her. Aisha RA then asked Umm Ruman and Abu Bakr RA to defend her but, they could not as they would be arguing against the Prophet SAW. Thus Aisha RA stated that, “Allah SWT will defend me” and turned around and faced the wall.
It was at this moment right there and then that, Allah SWT revealed the first 2 pages of Surah Nur in defence of Aisha RA. This caused the Prophet SAW to burst out laughing in happiness at Allah SWT confirming the honesty and innocence of Aisha RA. This led to Hassan Ibn Thabit, Mistah and Hammanah Bint Jahsh being whipped as per the Qur’an for their act of gossiping. Furthermore, the Munafiqs were not punished and scholars believe this is because Allah SWT doesn’t want to lessen their punishment in the Akhirah.
Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW would draw lots to decide which of his wives would accompany him on journeys. Due to this, all 4 Fiqh schools allow Muslims to draw lots for halal reasons.
Fun Trivia fact: The hijab of the wives of the Prophet SAW, was extra than other women. The Wives of the Prophet SAW had to not only wear a physical covering, but also one that covers their surrounding area. Hence why Aisha RA travelled in a Howdaj.
Fun Trivia fact: In the Qur’an, Allah SWT orders the Muslims to only talk to the Wives of the Prophet SAW from behind a physical curtain. This is actually the Qur’anic definition of hijab.
Fun Trivia fact: In the Qur’an, Allah SWT refers to a headscarf as a Khimar that not only has to cover the hair but, also the bosom.
Fun Trivia fact: In Pre Islamic Jaahiliyah, the Mushrik women would also wear hijab that covered their hair.
Fun Trivia fact: When Aisha RA narrates the story of her slander, she made excuses for those who had carried her Howdaj, so that they would not get any ill will from the Muslims.
Fun Trivia fact: None of the classical scholars of Seerah mentioned, the nitty gritty details of the Slander of Aisha RA. This shows their Adhab.
Fun Trivia fact: Umar RA would say that, “Doubt your own opinion before you doubt the Qur’an”. This was a reference to his actions after the signing of the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah.
Fun Trivia fact: Aisha RA only viewed Zaynab Bint Jahsh RA as being a true rival to her, amongst the wives of the Prophet SAW.
Fun Trivia fact: When the Prophet SAW questioned Zaynab Bint Jahsh RA about Aisha RA, Zaynab swore that Aisha RA is a sincere woman.
Fun Trivia fact: Usama Ibn Zayd was known as the “Beloved of the Beloved of the Prophet SAW” because both himself and his father were so beloved by the Prophet SAW.
Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW, stated that “4 things from Jaahiliyah will never leave my Ummah”. 1. Nationalism. 2. Cursing another person’s lineage. 3. Believing in astrology. 4. Wailing over the dead.
Fun Trivia fact: Allah SWT sends Jibreel AS when he wills and the Prophet SAW cannot demand an audience with Jibreel AS.
Fun Trivia fact: When Abu Bakr RA learned that his cousin Mistah RA had gossiped about Aisha RA. He swore an oath never to give him charity again because Mistah was a poor person. However, after Allah SWT revealed in Surah 24 Verse 22 that, it is better for you to forgive and keep the oath in order to attain Allah SWT’s mercy. Abu Bakr RA reinstated the oath and kept supporting Mistah RA right until his death.
    ==========================================================
Disclaimer for my Notes of Sheikh Yasir Qadhi’s Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam Series:
Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh, these are my notes on Sheikh Yasir Qadhi’s Seerah series.
Please note: I HIGHLY recommend that you all watch YQ’s Seerah series, as I DON’T cover every single detail the Sheikh mentions. I made these notes primarily for myself but, decided my fellow brothers and sisters may benefit from them too. I no doubt will have made mistakes in my notes. All the good in these notes is from Allah SWT and all the mistakes are from myself. But, I was very meticulous and tried my best to make sure everything is accurate as the Sheikh mentions it.
You also will see I have added “Fun Trivia facts” under each of my notes. These FTFs are information YQ said that was off topic or not necessary to include in my notes for the episode. But, they were still worth mentioning hence the inclusion as FTFs. FTFs aren’t always HAPPY pieces of information. Sometimes they are very sad trivia. I just want to say that FTF is the phrase I used for them all collectively when making the notes.
One thing I wanted to do but am too lazy to do is, maybe someone could take the FTFs from under each “Episode” and make an Islamic reminder/information IG/TikTok account and post them daily or something. Could be a great form of Sadaqah Jaariyah.
Please keep me in your Duas and ask Allah SWT to forgive all our sins during this blessed month and beyond! Ameen

TheWarriorScholar Thats not true. There was a case where the Prophet was accused by another of favoring a person bcz he was Banu Abdul Manaf, meaning this person who was given the favor was from Banu Umayyah, and Umayyah & Hashim are the sons of Abdul Manaf.
Of course the muhajiroon saying this didnt really mean it, and that the Prophet was justified in his decision.

Of all lecture until now, notice how Syaikh mentioned the Shia without ever spelling Shia.
On the other hand, I am ashamed how male and female interaction, how they speak, even between spouses are very contrastly different to nowadays, like 180 degree. Heck we even gossips between our spouse, not careful about non mahrams interactions, even in work.

    A question for Sh. Yasir:
There are 3 main events that was mentioned which follows the events at Muraysia. Among them is the marriage of Prophet SAW to Zaynab RA. If the slander of Ayesha RA occurred right after their return to Madinah, then where did the marriage and the incident of the freeing of the tribesmen taken as slaves as well as the conversion of the entire tribe to Islam take place? Did it all occur while Prophet SAW and his companions were in Muraysia?

Marriage to Juwairiya R.A not Zainab

  • @ihtemad

If you're so sure about your spouse not committing any sin, why would you close your ears instead of verifying it? It strengthens the case - Ali(R) and Usama(R) and Barira supported her chastity that confirms Prophet(S)'s perception of her wife. As for Prophet(S), he did exactly what a man should do - support her wife in public.

Subhanallah how can any Muslim exclude the wives from alhlul bayt…are those groups telling us that their wives are not part of their family members too.. then what are they?

    • @s-traitlili

A wive can be divorced and can go back to her family, she's not a permanent part of the family. Just because you want to use your low level brain to interpret the Quran doesn't mean the interpretations that you come up with are correct.

      لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ

Can someone please help me find something ? I heard it in one of the lectures before this but i can't find it. I've been trying to search for 3 days continuously.
The Sheikh mentioned the story where the Prophet PBUH asked for only muslim volunteers to go on an expedition. So the volunteers gathered and left when a non-muslim came and asked to join the army but they asked him if he is Muslim, he said no. So he was told to return. This happened again and eventally he said he is muslim and he was allowed to join the army.
I can't find the lecture and place where Sheikh Yasir Qadhi mentioned it.

Issam Hage we don’t ask what is the wisdom? I.e why is corona virus 🦠 killing some people and not others? We look at what benefits and lessons we can take from this story. There are many. Also only Allah almighty has the knowledge of the gayb the unseen. The prophet is told something’s and not other things. Remember the prophetic way is actions and guidance from a man with the best of character and the perfect example. So we know by this and many other experiences that even the prophets are tested with trial and tribulations. For example on such a good day the prophet Mohammed pbuh daughter died. Allah hu allam.

He didn't always know when someone is lying. Allah sent Jibreel to tell him something only when Allah wills. Whatever knowledge he was given was given with Allah's permission. Rasoolallah S.A.W was not all Knowing. Only Allah is All Knowing.

    Dear Dr yasir Qadhi
In the question when bani mustaliq occur whether it is before or after ahzab
In your other lecture, you mentioned that Aishah r.a was able to see saad ibn muaz r.a and thought that the armour was insufficient
You mentioned that she was able to do so because hijab has not been legislated
And bani mustaliq is after hijab was legislated
If this is so, then the slander is after ahzab, and like you said, it maybe usayd ibn hudair or someone else who had that argument with regards to the slander
