I had to do a double take when I saw the title......I thought the American Greg Valentine (The Hammer) was gonna be in the match, lol. I was all like....when the hell did he manage to fly across the pond to do this on the schedule that he had back in those days?!?! haha! That poses an interesting question....did any notable American wrestlers ever come over to the UK to do an event in that era? somebody like a Harley Race, a Jack Brisco, or a Dory Funk Jr.? Those are the only three that I could think of from that era who could wrestle this style and fit in seamlessly.
At the end of this match Cooper offers Greg a rematch with the kid getting 100 pounds of Syd's money for every round Greg lasts with Cyanide Syd. Does anyone know if that match happened, and if it did, what were the results and did Syd make good on his cash offer?
know you say that, you've reminded me, as I think thay did have a rematch and Sid Copper wasn't very happy as he had to put his money were his mouth, silly man
These were two of my favourites
Greg Valentine was one of my favourites on TV at the time
Used the same name as an American wrestler as did many.
That re-entrance that Valentine makes at 3;17 puts some of the modern guys to shame

Remember seeing Greg Valentine as a kid and shaking his hand. Saw WWF's Greg Valentine later and was confused why he was now a fat old looking guy.
@ec2man ...Well old bean....some get the luck....& some do'nt....Enjoy the viewing...!.
Hey, the Hammer, LOL!
Can we agree that this Greg valentine was way more athletic and dare I say entertaining than his American "hammer"counterpart?
グレッグは偽物(笑)、でも相手はもしかしてJ-クイン❔♥️
IS THIS COMMONTATOR GAY, EVERY TIME A YOUNG WRESTLER APPEARS HE ALWAYS SAYS HES A GOOD LOOKING FELLA,
