i will say that would be the case. ghostbusters frozen empire didn’t make sense at times. at least tim burton tried, i’ll give him that. but i thought beetlejuice 2 wasn’t that well written
IT WAS HORRIBLE! Such a shame! It lacked of creativity and congruence. It was unnecessary to have them singing a whole number of “McArthur Park, some parts were rushed and some others didn’t make sense. The Animated Series make sense! In this sequel they had good elements, and even had the opportunity to make a connection with the Cartoon and even go for a 3rd movie but they wasted the chance! When Beetlejuice helped Lidia, that was the chance for them to become friends, not to make another wedding number. The baby parts were kinda silly, and the bloody killing was out of context. Beetlejuice is supposed to be a demon, so why was he human? He also plays multiple tricks and in this sequel the character looks weak. I don’t understand how you can ruin a project like that having all the resources available!?! So disappointed. Tim has lost his touch!

After he got fired from Batman, he became soft and all of his projects became weird and happy and lousy. Like “Alice In Wonderland”, Johnny Depp’s make up is so poor, so amateur and unprofessional. I mean, in Beetlejuice 2, while they do the “McArthur Park” number, Beetlejuice cries and his dark circles around the eyes melt?!?!? They’re supposed to periorbital hyperpigmentation, not makeup running down his cheeks -.- It’s so sad, that with all the money and all the resources he failed in so many ways.

Like heres a summary of one part. he blows open the wall, says "lets go Honey" you dont see him for about 15 minutes, when he comes back he drops down from the ceiling and says he needs to use the restroom (scene here was about a minute and a half max), gone again for 15 minutes, shows up for less than 30 seconds for the stamp scene, then disappears again all the way until the church scene
Another thing is his wife just seems.. out of place? She doesn't show up much as well and when she does shes not on but about 5 minutes per scene. And her final encounter at the end she just gets eaten by a worm. No fight, no build up, nothing.
If the original Beetlejuice didn't exist, this movie can be considered good or passable, but something I'll watch only once and forget about the movie later on. I'm not inclined to watch it over and over again and still never get sick of it like the original Beetlejuice.
You cant use 'they didn't swear properly' as a reason for something apparently sucking? 😭 It's a 12, and i'm pretty certain there were other swears, as well as a handful of crude jokes anyways...
@@Charl3y3 lol you are clearly missing the point. the movie is all over the place. the editing, the plot lines, the “humor”, the fact that pg-13 movies can drop one uncensored f bomb. bc you are right, they say tons of other swear words, because nearly every other swear word can be used as many times as they want and they can still be a pg-13 rating. and the crude jokes relied on cringe moments, gross out humor, some potty humor, it wasn’t really funny. this movie was just mainly nostalgia based. and fyi my complaint on the censorship is not the only nor biggest reason this movie was stupid. the real reason is that most of the plot didn’t make any sense. like when astrid realized the boy was a ghost, how can she see him but she didn’t see his dead parents downstairs and ONLY her mother did?

And if you watched, Astrid did see his dead mother, she was just faced away, watching tv. She didnt think anything of it.
@@Charl3y3first of all, i did watch it in theaters. secondly, even if that’s the case, what about adam and barbara maitland?? the only reason they allowed lydia’s family to stay in their house in the first movie was solely because adam and barbara loved lydia and wanted to be with her since they didn’t have any kids of their own. so why would they just “move on”?? it makes zero sense. and the plot overall doesn’t seem very structured. and the writing and acting was terrible. this movie wasn’t really anything special. and this movie is obviously meant for fans of the original, so it is nostalgic based crap. just a huge disappointment for the OG beetlejuice fans. the original idea for the beetlejuice sequel, “aloha, beetlejuice” would have been a much better watch. i will not be seeing beetlejuice 2 again…in fact, i’m sorry i went to see it at all.

The reason it took 36 years to make a sequel is because they didn't do it for nostalgia. Tim Burton did it for the fans. I actually think it held up to the original and had a much stronger plot than the first one. Don't think it's fair to say "it sucked" it's 100% okay if you simply didn't like it. That's cool but to say that it sucked when it didn't is unfair. This is the one sequel that everyone wanted. Most sequels don't amount much but this one everyone couldn't wait to see.
The movie did not "suck" you can say that you did not like it but don't be like that over a decent movie please. People need to think before making these kinds of videos. Both the 1st and the 2nd movie are fire. You wanna talk try makin' your own version of the movies. This is not a hate comment this is just someone tired of seeing hate on good shows and movies!

I agree with you for the most part. For me I liked the first one way better. However, like in both movies, I only really liked the scenes with Beetle Juice in them. At least the first one didn’t make me bored at all like the new one 😂 I would have to give Beetle Juice 2 a 4/10, just because I ONLY liked the scenes with Beetle Juice. Good video, I can’t wait for more Toy Story content!

Only thing I don't like about the movie is that Beetlejuice doesn't appear too much
he should have been in the movie more considering the cast in the sequel was not as dynamic and strong as the cast in the original
they needed more of beetlejuice and the moments he was on screen he wasn’t making as goofy antics because he was just hiding from his ex wife

See, I didn't get overhyped. I was just looking forward to practical effects. It's an okay movie and an improvement on the original
