@Black Gryph0n Hey gabriel brown, I love your impressions, huge fan, and I've watched your impressions on famous singers a thousand times, I can literally say every song you sang in order
The montages are amazing, and they give a good impression of the building process. They won't retain every viewer though, as it requires some experience making stuff to fully appreciate. However, I don't think that the additional commentary adds much to the montage: The montage is organized to convey the build process visually, but the unscripted commentary struggles to keep up to the information presented. You could try the other route, creating a commentary narrative first, talking about the hardest/funnest parts of the process, then editing build footage in to support it visually.
That's a polite way to say what I wanted to say - "WTF is this?" Love the content, but sometimes sarcasm and levity can come across as disinterest or insincerity. Anyway, keep up the good work!
If he can get the pacing right, he could use montages to sort of "fast forward" through the less interesting parts of the process, so they could still be included, and then slow down for the sort of scripted commentary like you're describing. Hey man, I just found your channel and I find the project really inspiring. I just wanted to point out a few things (mainly about the alodine). First thing I REALLY hope you are not using Alodine 1200 or such which contain Chromium 6+. Hexavalent chrome is highly toxic (causes cancer, mutations, and stop you from having childrens). You want to be especially careful when handling it and even more when machining aluminium that has been treated with it. (Drilling and blowing the bust is a bad idea). Also there can be multiple reasons why your parts didn't react well : The concentration of Cr6+ is too low in the solution, you didn't remove the alumina (aluminium oxyde) on the surface of the part, the part wasn't degreased or the pH of the solution might be too high. In your case you want to apply acid on the alumium until bubbles start to form (indication that Hydrogen comes out which means that there are no more oxyde on the part). The best way would be to dip the part in a container filled with acid. Finally I don't really understand why you applied Alodine on those aluminium parts. Alodine doesn't protect well the aluminium from corrosion and it is mainly used in the industry to improve paint adhesion and allow electricity to go through the surface of the aluminium (by removing the alumina). By the way, also becareful when drilling zinc chromate (if it's really zinc chromate) as it is also toxic. I would really advise using vaccums to clean your parts. Keep up the amazing work ! Greetings from France.
