After receiving my A50S yesterday, I am impressed with the ease and quality of such cleaning tasks as the car floor (below the floormats), deep-pile bathroom rugs, and, not least: under the bed - which I had not done since EVER, and which produced the gratification/horror of completely filling the 1 liter dirt-canister. Tomorrow I'm thinking of (finally responding to the request from the condo board to) clean the hallway and stairs.
The "instructions" that came with this vacuum cleaner were almost completely useless, but videos like this one show you pretty much everything you need to know.
@@VacuumChef Some aspects of the battery: (a) Does the display give you a clue about how much battery life is remaining? The "instruction manual" shows a series of images: 4 green bars, 2 green bars, and then 0 green bars with a flashing thunderbolt - but I've never seen 4 green bars. (b) When charging the battery, the "instruction manual", seemingly in error, says that the green light on the battery stops blinking upon full charge, whereas, in reality, it appears that the green light goes out, upon full charge. (c) Because the "instruction manual" doesn't explain how to attach or detach anything, or even point out where the various attach/detach buttons are, it would be great if you could give more information - even though it shouldn't be your responsibility - by, perhaps zooming in and slowing down when demonstrating attaching/detaching. Having said that, I am still having trouble re-attaching the battery - it would be good to have a slow-motion demonstration and explanation of how to line it up properly, and what direction I need to push it to latch it in place. Thanks again for all your help! I think I'm competent at all the other attaching/detaching, as I've enjoyed experimenting with all the configuration combinations.
This is so helpful! Thanks for the feedback. Yeah the battery stuff is very confusing and does not make sense! I wish they had a simple display with % remaining but that is not on this model lol
Update: I did notice that the display sometimes shows 4 green bars, indicating a pretty-good-full charge. It didn't last long, when I was running with MAX POWER, but it definitely happened. I'm getting inconsistent results with recharging the battery: usually, the light goes from blinking-green to OFF, but once, it did go to steady-green!
Excellent review. Very impressed. You hit on everything. The vacuum looks pretty good. I have the a30s and really like it. Might have bought this one if it was available back then but happy with the a30s and got a good deal on it.
Love to hear that! Appreciate you watching and commenting on our videos. Sharing your A30s experience will help others in the market for these vacuums!!!
Great question! It would come down to the following: If you want the 90+degree pivot body to get under furniture or green led lights get the A50s... if you want to save a few bucks and want a better display and physical trigger get the S15!

I know exactly what you speak of to the gratification/horror lol
Happy vacuuming!!!

Glad to hear we could help! Anything you wish we covered that we didn't?

Awesome! Yeah MAX will drastically cut down battery life!
