Took delivery on one recently and next day took it to range. Trigger was very HEAVY and weighed out at 10.5#😮. Left it with gunsmith who says he should be able to get it down to 6.5# when done. Intend on mounting a Holosun 507 once trigger is done.
I have a Browning HP I bought in 1975 that F Bob Chow of SF customized for me: extended slide stop and safety, blued mirror finish frame and sides of slide with mat black on top, match barrel, and trigger at 5#. Excellent shooter.
Thanks for watching and adding your thoughts.
Rider, my guy, you can shoot!
Thanks for watching. That trigger forces one to really concentrate.
Nice pistols, nice shooting. You know, I forgot to have a try with them the other day
That means you'll have to come back.
@@RidersRange oh no. I am so sad 🤩
Good video. I have the PI Match and the full size that is cerakoted. The full size trigger is hooked and gritty while the pi match is pretty crisp. That said, I shot next to my buddy with his new Stacato and I kept up with him pretty well both in speed and accuracy with my full size P35. I was pretty impressed. As soon as I can find a LW PI match in the low $500 range, that will be my next purchase. I have always thought trigger reset was over rated but I am not a competition shooter.
Thanks for watching and adding your thoughts. And in my not-always-so-humble opinion, trigger reset IS over rated. Just watch a slow motion video of Bill Wilson shooting a 1911 - his finger comes off the trigger and almost outside the trigger guard, then pretty much slaps the trigger, yet he is a fast and accurate shooter.
Nice, been thinking about king of getting one for a range toy, have to get one now, great video😊
You're certainly a good shot! I like the lower cost high power clones. Especially with the extended beaver tail. Thanks for the video.
Even with the heavy trigger you shoot it very well,,,,I can see your point with the trigger,,,,Thanks
Once again, thank you for watching.
People were getting insane prices for the fm detective before this came out. Now they are worth a fraction
Jeez Harley! You certainly can shoot! 🫡👍👍👍💥
That stiff trigger really makes me concentrate. Once again, thanks for watching.
Magazine disconnect like high power makes things bad until removed maybe it has the same issue which will greatly improve the trigger.
I should have mentioned that this pistol doesn't have a mag disconnect. It just has a very hard trigger - clean, but hard. Thanks for watching.
@@RidersRange I see a trigger job in your future. Crystal ball naw!
Good job
Thank you for the review video. 🙂
Thank you for watching.
Know you are a good shot but 2 birds one round at 50 yards. Impressive. Or was that the blind squirrel?
I always give credit to that blind squirrel. 😎
Found one cheap but I’m hesitant to buy.
I like everything about mine, except the trigger. I'm hoping it will become a little lighter with time.
I like mine its been great. No regrets!
Is there a source for a regular rear sight using that footprint to replace the red dot?
The cover plate has a rear sight attached, so when an optic isn't used, there is a rear sight.
@@RidersRange Mine didn't come with a cover plate. Rather a non-name optic with a built-in backup sight. Would prefer to have a conventional rear sight. Any suggestions?
I can't find a cover plate on the Girsan website, but you might have luck if you call their customer service.
@@RidersRange I contacted them back in August. At that time they said I'd have to get a whole new slide.
