There were plenty of places to glue it. The end grain is weak when you glue end grain to end grain, but any other orientation would hold the pieces together with a strong glue surface.
Karen, don’t build one like this FFS.. you’ll end up injured. The tiny brads used in this with zero glue holds means this will fall apart quicker than an Ikea product that you forgot to put the screws in.
Looks cool, but it’s a piece of sh!t and won’t last a year outdoors, or 3 months other wise with actual use. I’m not trying to be an @ss, but the Knowledge and Craftsmanship is very low on this video.
The bottoms of the planters will fall off with the weight of the dirt. They may hold up one season but they won’t last. Inset the bottom with cleats all around. Use screws.
Hey I get the idea, it's way easy for a youtube video and he can reuse the wood! Actually the design is looking good, so if you throw some PU glue and some screws at it, it's sure af gonna be a sturdy bench if it holds on pins! Also, in case you also missed this, OP can reuse the wood for other projects :)
Those are literally pin nails… meant to be used for light trimwork installation (ie crown molding on cabinetry only, trimwork outside corners, etc). Those little nails are NOT AT ALL made to withstand the elements or being embedded in the pressure/chemical-treated wood that he was building with… they’ll rapidly disintegrate to nothing. They look decent though!
@@stephenstrader1577 that woods not pressure treated and all tho I wouldn’t use finishing nails to build that there’s only one part that’s structural and it’s held together with screws the part that supports the seat
Titebond three goes along way my friend!
Just what I was thinking.
Where would he use it! Other than the two boards he nailed together for the legs? Everything else the grain opposes each other
@sawdustwhisper9397 what does the grain have to do with gluing it together

@@sawdustwhisper9397brad nails do not have the holding strength. Needs to use glue or another fastener
Wood glue has left the chat
Structural everything has followed out the door
lol my OCD was crying this whole body
Yup, can't see it lasting long at all.
@@ookie4179so sad for you 💀💀💀💀
Dont need wood glue for everything, do lot of wood jointing and its so tight fit shouldnt need glue
I love this planter bench!
Thanks you

Nice build but why was the result unexpected? Did you not plan to make this?
Would hold better if it was held together with bubble gum 👍

Ahahaha

Itd be more delicious
Which brand of gum?

good job bro !
Excellent, my brother
Thanks you
Ótima idéia 😉
Looks great i use pilot holes and screws but it takes longer to make
But yours would last a hell of a lot longer, this little hunk of crap he built absolutely will not last any amount of time, be honest.
It’s garbage, built not to last. And he sure as sh!t is no teacher.
Great job

Perfect length to get the idea. I would add cross support at the bottom to hold the planter bottom boards more securely.
Good ❤
Beautiful!

I like watching short and to the point videos. Instead of watching something for an hour to see the results
Nice work ❤❤❤

Excellent design but it needs reinforcing and exterior glue to be structurally sound.
Wooooow amazing your job i very like ❤️❤️💪💪👍👍
Good one. Please forward bill of material. I want to try myself.
Thanks you
It’s amazing what you can do with $1000’s or maybe $10,000 worth of wood working tools made with oil and mind minerals. 😮
Lmao he used under $300 worth of tools bud
What????
Aguanta el peso? Muy débil la unión que tiene la banca. Decorativamente está bien. Saludos

Excelente diseño pero necesita refuerzos y pegamento para exteriores para darle fuerza estructural.
What about glue? And won't screws rust out if you don't use galv or stainless?
It looks good, but I don't think it will last long outdoors. Pins and a few screws 🤔
I think it's jus a demonstration. You can do better
