I ordered one three years ago, you guys discontinued it and started the operator, I canceled the trp and ordered an operator, waited almost three years for it, finally got it a couple months ago and now you're making the trp again Thanks Springfield

Ever thought about buying deactivated guns? I heard you guys are allowed to do that. Could be cool if you're interested in the mechanical aspects of the firearms.

On Oct. 2, 2024, my wife and I visited the indoor range at Bud's Gun Shop and Range in Lexington, Ky. We took several pistols, two were my new TRP and my MC Operator. The Range Officer was a Viet Nam Veteran. It was an honor to have him be the first to fire my new TRP. I then asked him to shoot my MC Operator. It was an honor to have him fire both of my Springfield Armory 1911's. We were honored to meet and have that interaction with him. He told me they were excellent pistols. I wholeheartedly agree.

Hard agree. I'm currently eyeballing 10MM, but after that, I'm looking to get back into 9mm. If these features are added to the Prodigy line, I'll go with this. Especially if Springfield offers the Prodigy in 10MM!

Honestly doesn’t seem worth that price when there’s the platypus honestly I havnt even looked at another 1911/2011 other than girsan for its price but if you want a handful custom for less than 1999.99 stealth arms for sure
@@Rubeless Colt is significantly heavier in the hand and more felt recoil somehow too. it actually doesnt make sense lol but thats what myself and my buddy concluded. Colt was a lot snappier. Ronin felt much better, more controllable. felt like a 9mm
Get rid of the full length guide rod that requires an Allen wrench, Optic cut it with a full size cut not compact like Sig did and you would sell WAY more of them
Picked up mine the other day. Don’t like the idea of mim parts, but never had issues with them. When/if I do, it’s not that hard to replace it with a better part
I bought my TRP in 2016, best gun I've ever owned dead on accuracy even out at 50-100 yards. Mines a bull barrel gun with a half rail looks like the new half rail gun is a bushing gun. If they're half as good as the original iteration they are winners.
So happy to see that you got rid of the adjustable rear sight on the railed version. I had to replace the adjustable rear sight on my older TRP with a fixed sight from Harrison Design.
Had the opportunity to visit S.A. booth at MILIPOL PARIS 2023. I was impressed by the poduct quality!!! As an engineer I can declare that "There's much more behind than just gunsmithing" ... 👍👍👍👍
Was really looking forward to a echelon style compact/subcompact gun announcement tbh. I want that echelon mounting system on my daily carry, and can't justify wearing a full service pistol at my current security job.
I really really wish their would be a trp optics read model, still in 45acp and with a thread adaptor for Suppressor I think that would make it even better although it's already good
At this price point of around $2000, why wouldn't I just get a Dan Wesson Valor or Specialist? Dan Wesson would sport forged STAINLESS slide & frame (reduced rust), match barrel, all forged & hand fit components (no cheap MIM), nitrocarburized duty finish over cheap Cerokote, better sights, 25 tpi cuts instead of just 20 tpi, lighter & smoother trigger, etc.

I like the finish of the older TRPs more- not digging the cerakote. I’d buy one of these at 1200-1300 but north of that there’s better options. The carry version is a welcome addition though.

It is a very good platform for 9mm and 45ACP but how it will perform in 7.62x25 Takarev or the TT cartridge as i love the power of 30 Calibre but having no accuracy at all
I'm just really disappointed you didn't go with the full bull barrel. Have an old TRP Operator model and its amazing, these new ones look just as good but the decision to nix the bull barrel is a deal breaker for me 🤷♂
I've seen TRPs range from (I've seen it as low as) $1200-$1700. But this one is gonna cost more... people can spend a little more and get a staccato. Or I could splurge and get an Alchemy or WC. I love my TRP I got but I wouldn't have spent $2k on it.

I would like to see a full-size 5” full rail bull barrel tungsten guide rod optic cut for 407k or 507k in 9mm 3-4 pound trigger front sight a very bright color for my eyes. Total pistol weight around 50 ounces unloaded. I know I’m dreaming but that’s what I’m currently looking for. Preferably all stainless steel other than the tungsten guide rod.

I just got the 10mm Ronin. Love it, fired it side by side next to a Colt Delta Elite and it blew away the colt. Keep up the awesome work

Have had several SA firearms over the year's. Loved `em all. My favorite is the loaded Marine operator. Looks as if it may be time for a TRP.

I've had both the TRP and Pro. The Pro is light years more accurate then the TRP past 25 yards.

My 45cal TRPs are well made.
My 10mm TRP rattles like a box of parts. It is closer to a 'Loaded' than the price of a TRP. Hand fit it wasnt

How about a 4.25 barrel with the short bobtailed grip BUT with out the rail. That is will buy..
Why not 30lpi or the golf ball style checkering from the emp4? 20lpi just tears up your hands and that's from an Infantryman not a desk jockey.
