People forget that it’s important to prep the lips with moisturizer and also with light scrubbing to ensure lipsticks and other lip products look smooth

@@skyleranimates1251 I think they mean the scrub. I don't usually have to scrub my lips but I always wear chapstick and my lips aren't dry. That said I have had to use a scrub after matte lips sticks too many days in a row. They can be drying and it takes me longer to recover from a matte liquid lip
Maybelline is international, and you can get it in almost every store in quite a few countries. And it's not a luxury brand.
I'm so sad that they test on animals, that's the only thing keeping me from trying it :(

I prefer more glossy formula for lip glosses, I don't like how the matte lipgloss/lipstick feels. Even though it lasts, I usually like the glossy type
Go with fenty it’s definitely the most comfortable by far and not a matte finish
@Mø Nälayé the original comment said they don’t like how Mayte lipstick/lipgloss feels I think they were referring to the formulas that dry down more. For example there’s some lipglosses that are made with more drying ingredients because they will last longer, the Fenty one is made with more moisturizing ingredients that hydrate your lips but it doesn’t have as long of a wear time as others.
Apply shiny clear lip gloss on top of any matte lipstick and thank me.
it might not help, but i’ve noticed putting on chapstick before lipstick stops your lips from drying out. idk how that would work with lipgloss tho

Ok the YSL one is pretty good. I usually wouldn’t mind spending more money on lipsticks because you’re literally putting something onto your lips and you might even eat your lipstick. So, you basically eat the lipsticks that you apply onto your lips.
The restaurant owner would be glad that everyone tries her lipstick there. 😂

Omg I had the Stunna Lip Paint as a Christmas gift, I don't know if mine is faulty but the formula... Sis... It's not that good, my Maybelline one lasts so much longer, eat proof, French kiss proof, drink proof, anything proof, doesn't budge. BUT the Fenty Beauty one oml each time I would just make a tiny kiss on my bf's cheek it would get all over him, when eating it would rub off, and drinking... I would have weird lipstick lines around the corners of my mouth. I am kind off pissed that personally it is jut not good... Only the color and the pigmentation are bomb...

Estée Lauder Pure Colour Love Lipstick in the shade ‘Burning Love’ is the best red lipstick. End of story. It’s a little pricey but it lasts forever and it looks amazing. It also keeps your lips hydrated and you can get away with not wearing a lip liner cuz it doesn’t drip. It’s not smudge proof but it does stay on pretty long throughout the day
$14 was worse than the cheapest one.

There seems to be a consistent trend with the luxury stuff not being as nice as one would expect for the premium price. She might be biased though, seems like from the outset she already loved the Fenty Beauty lipstick and she was skeptical of the YSL. It is true with some of these designer brands you're literally just paying for the name and pretty packaging so idk.
The sephora one is way better than Fenty’s. The staying power on Fenty’s is so bad and it transfers everywhere!!

I have the use matte lip stain in 13 and it’s one of my holy grails. I always put it under my peripera lip tint since that fades away quickly.
my favorite red lip is def the chocolate liquid lip by loreal in tasty ruby. nothing tops the scent, it stays ALL day and is also a pain in the ass to come off. the pigmentation is so good there is no bad thing about it!!!!

I have several of the Maybelline lipsticks and they really do have amazing staying power for drug store brand. There is one particular color that I can never get off no matter what I use and I usually have to layer other lipsticks over it. ☺️ My only problem with it is that it’s really sticky, but for a drug store brand, it’s one of the best.
I also have the Stila Beso and It’s one of my favorites. It’s lightweight and has staying power. It’s also a beautiful shade that looks great on various skin tones.
The Fenty one is great, too, but I hate how watery it is when it goes on.

It doesn’t last nearly as long. I can only get about 4-5 hours of wear, whereas the Maybelline lasts through nuclear attacks. 🤷🏼♀️

I have maybelline, stilla and even sephora lipstick. But fenty lip paint is the winner. I purchased 3times in4colours.... lurveeeeeed it
My favourite is the Jeffree Star Ruby Red. It is truly the best formula and the most comfortable one for me. It is not super long lasting but reapplying it without even taking the whole thing off still works great.

I personally believe that the Two Faced liquid lipstick in Lady Balls is the best long lasting red I've used longevity and comfort wise. I used the Maybelline Pioneer for a theatre show and while it lasted well, it was a nightmare to take off and it was like applying paint (also smelled like it too).

Tested it once how long it stays, it was 3 days, and when I got it off the same night I had to use baby oil.

Keep that in mind when shopping for anything, especially cosmetics, and let’s ask ourselves very truthfully: what the hell is in this thing (that I am now applying directly on my skin/mouth, where I can potentially eat it)? 💡💄💋

I think you just need the right shade of red. I used to hate red but I found mine in Mac Ruby Woo. A little drying but love the color. Makes my teeth look whiter too.

Why does my fenty lipstick doesn't dry matt
I used to love Maybelline pioneer because it lasts throughout the day but I noticed it bunches up and crumbles on the lips if you re-apply more than twice, which is annoying.
The facts that she eat the same noodle soup everyday make me cry😣😣
On the other hand, it makes the experiment more reliable!

I actually prefer liptint, but I do tend to lean towards more natural Korean style makeup.
I love the sephora lipstick in that exact color because it's the only one that doesn't make me look like a clown, side note I actually use it for dance reviews

I feel like for this to have been a 100% non biased and fair "experiment" would be for a blind test. I think things were a bit biased with each one and past experiences/biases are largely swaying her opinion of each lipstick and people can't take this as a 100% honest review with her past biases for or against the lipsticks or their creators/brand or even the pricing.
I dont mind if my red lippie will fade every time i eat. Naturally thats why its in a tube, for retouching purposes.
