I have cried many times to Amor Eterno, but hearing it in Uvalde to the families of this tragedy hit me on another level. I love and am so proud of the sentiments of my people.

Hearing it in Uvalde was as though Juan Gabriel wrote those beautiful, and moving words specifically for the parents and the families of all those innocent children whose lives were so tragically taken away.

these are such beautiful old standards, I remember my Tio Manual, he played the violin, he would visit his brother, my grandfather, from Jalisco, one of my cherished memories r of my tata, my tío, my tías, sitting under the tree outside singing these songs, they sounded so beautiful, it used to bring tears to my eyes.
For these folks to take the time to travel to comfort the community of Uvalde is just a most loving, caring, kind thing to do. Kudos to ALL of these Mariachi members for doing this!

Some of the politicians makes me sick. It is apparent that many of them never experienced real love, and the caring that is conveyed by what we see in this video, and all of the people who have stepped forward.

In many ways the Latinx community deals with loss and death in a more healthy way than we Anglos. Why? Because the Latinx people have too much experience with loss and grief. No music on earth embodies both the need to grieve death and loss while helping in healing like mariachi.
