More than 50 muscians came --from several different groups, that is why you'll see the musicians wearing diverse outfits. So, even more special, it was not a "band" but a community of musicians coming from hours away--- joining efforts to support Uvalde...
I enjoy it, too. Am a white guy from California living in Arizona. I lived clsoe to Watsonville, CA, and they would have the Watsonville Mariachi Band out at many events, and that's when I learned to appreciate it. I even went to a Freddy Fender concert in the mid 70's. It's wonderful when people give the precious commodity of their time.

Beautiful video. When I was in elementary in the 90s we would sing and perform De Colores for 5 De Mayo celebrations almost every year. This makes me incredibly sad, these children look like my childhood friends they look like my neighbors, they look like the students at my boys' school. We are broken as a nation this cannot continue to happen 💔

I personally do know because 25 years ago I also lost a daughter in a auto accident, the pain is there but THE LORD WAS ALWAYS at my side, I PRAYED FOR STRENGTH, FAITH AND TRUST IN THE LORD TO KEEP ME GOING AND THERE IS ALWAYS A REASON WHY THINGS HAPPEN. I like to watch Movies with a Mexican background of haciendas like the village ,Kalumpang where I am live, in Selangor, Malaysia. I have imagined them singing in my backyard garden where I have built a rock garden and ponds to rear fish and crawfish with organically planted fruit trees and vegetables. I have built a two -storey bamboo building for my children in my backyard garden awaiting their return from abroad. With the background of misty hilllocks with a pair of circling squacking eagle hawks , I would project my virtual Mariachi/ Hawaiian dancers/ singers with songs and music in the evening sunset. I have always sought relief in Mother Nature's secret hideout of make-belief world of music and songs whenever I was upset and tired. My primary school teachers had taught me and my school mates well, not only the 3Rs ( Writing,Speaking and Arithmetic ) but also activated our power of drifting and dreaming ,succeeded in building an enchanting world in our young minds. English is my second language and I am of Chinese origin born and bred in Malaysia.. To-day I am virtually dreaming no more. I not only watch but also comment on them, the Mariachi group from San Antonio on stage in my backyard garden in YOU TUBE for a common goal to honour the departed angels ( 19 children and two teachers ) from Robb Elementary School, Uvalde, who have sprouted wings by now,looking down on us suffering human bipeds from above. The two - storey bamboo building is now no more ( built 6 years ago ) But the hills, the Eagle Hawks ,the evening sunset the ponds with fish /crawfish and Mother Nature are still here. My dream has become a reality and am sharing it with Mother Nature in my backyard garden which is now echoing with voices and music from Latin America. My long cherished dreams and thoughts have materialised. My children from New Zealand , Canada,Thailand and Singapore visited my backyard garden in Kalumpang, Selangor, Malaysia one by one. when they came home for their vacation.
So ironic in this evil world having the beautiful voice of the little one singing in a funeral for many of the same age as him who were killed. May God protect the USA!

There is no comfort what so ever believe me I went through the same pain when my brother was killed in Laredo Texas back in 1994 he was a doctor in Monterrey had worked for the government hospital he quit and decided to go on his own was fixing an office for his patients and was going back and forth to Laredo buying equipment for his office left on a Saturday morning and never went back he was found in the trunk of his car on a Wednesday afternoon in the parking lot of motel 6 he was shot in the head and his body was very discomposed and up to this date no one knows who killed him only time will fade away the pain but the memories remain for ever.

There is no comfort what so ever believe me I went through the same pain when my brother was killed in Laredo Texas back in 1994 he was a doctor in Monterrey had worked for the government hospital he quit and decided to go on his own was fixing an office for his patients and was going back and forth to Laredo buying equipment for his office left on a Saturday morning and never went back he was found in the trunk of his car on a Wednesday afternoon in the parking lot of motel 6 he was shot in the head and his body was very discomposed and up to this date no one knows who killed him only time will fade away the pain but the memories remain for ever.
