A really strong episode. I loved the introduction of the Order of The Triad. I didn't love the Monarch story line, but it was definitely dramatic. I think this is the worst thing he has ever done.
I appreciate the call back to this Monarch story in the Shadowman 9 episode. When he calls himself the Mighty Manotaur and mentions his malevolous murder maze to Phantom Limb.
I just realize the name Fallen arches, would come back in the hawkeye/greeen arrow parody Fallen Archer in the New York saga when they meet the avengers parody.
SPANAKOPITA!! In my head I sort of divorce this behavior of the Monarch from the rest of his character by this being Doc and Jackson making a parody scene of Red Dragon and not the Monarch actually being this kind of antagonist. Sure the Monarch would kill but only other members of this life of 24/7 crazy cosplay.....sorry I meant Costume Business.
I always laughed so hard at how Monarch references, and pronounces “cocoon,” when saying that line “The cocoon has witnessed your sins… the cocoon has…” that I didn’t really consider that he was abusing, and attempting to murder a sex worker lol.
@@freeecountryy I think this is why he gets away with his terrible deeds. He is funny so we forgive him for all kinds of crap. I like it when he shouts "dick move!" when Phantom Limb wrecks his wedding or when he describes the Action Man as a "psycho". He is a terrible person but he has jokes.
I think the last couple seasons might redeem or repudiate this "past" Monarch for viewers, but those feel ages away from this episode, truly. It is staggering how unsympathetic a character he is at this stage, really just a psychopath with a lair.
@@nbuuck it's a jarring experience to watch the Monarch in early episodes. I was pretty shocked by his behaviour in "Home Insecurity" when he told off Dr Girlfriend for getting the wrong type of coca cola, there is no way he would behave like this in later seasons, but this incident is really evil. When he slew Wonderboy or (appeared) to kill Dr Dugong it reminds me of his actions in this episode.
I think season two was a high point in the series, I remember watching the premiere and being blown away by the plot with the Hank and Dean clones and Dr. Orpheus's deep depression not to mention the unbelievably epic opening.
Not a negative comment, not a positive comment. Please, just enunciate. Your monotone mumbling is difficult to understand and is typically the first thing viewers notice and one of the primary reasons they stay.

Jefferson having a discussion with an uncomfortable villain about the politically correct way to say "Blackula" is hilarious.

Byron Orpheus might be my favorite character of all time in anything.
I hope I spelled his name right.
@@homerco213 I am a big fan too. I like his relationship with Triana.
Torrid always seemed like he was influenced by DC comics' Deadman, visually at least
Isnt the arch who is being inappropriate in the promo video one of the Council of 13?
@@kitkat6959 that's right! He is Wild Fopp!
