Congratulations on your Disney Runs! You must be very dedicated. My husband and I ran recreationally. He was better at it, but now has osteoarthritis (he is also 72 years old) but still manages to play Pickleball twice a week! I ran but started in my 50’s, therefore, my knees are fine! I really enjoyed it and still, periodically run on the treadmill in my condo gym. Great stitching.

Disney does throw a great race. Congrats on finishing the Dopey challenge! I don't know about you, but I will never look at the exit ramps through the parks in quite the same way again; when I did the half for Princess Weekend, mile 9 was out on the roads and full of those on and off ramps.. it was the worst part of the whole race. Your Woodland Enchantress is looking wonderful so far. 🪡👠

I was happy to hear all about you races at Disneyland. Sounds like you had a great time and all your meals are amazing. My youngest son started running marathons a year or so ago and he really enjoyed it. He did one in Big Bear CA and had a blast. They actually had courses they had to go through one day and the next day they did the running not sure how far but he said the altitude start to get to him. The metal that he got was in 3 pieces, but he only earned 2 because he didn’t do the full marathon. This was his first and he said it was really tough running up and down hills at a high altitude. Your projects you are working on are beautiful. I still need to finish my WIPGO projects for the month. I’m doing Gothic Princess which is a full coverage and then my birthday start that is September Revenge. I’m looking forward to your next FlossTube

@@therunnerstitcher - I wish I could Run but due to health problems I can’t run. I love to do that and I give anything if I could. I have O. I. - Osteogenesis Imperfecta. I have had 64 Broken Bones since I was born and two broken bones before I was born. There is a lot that I cannot do but I have never gave up - I keep going - I stay active as best as I can - I am not in a wheelchair which says a lot for somebody that has O. I. 99% of the children and adults that have what I have are in wheelchairs. They cannot even stand up. I am one in a million that is not in a wheelchair. I don’t give up too easily and I have made it through 5 Surgeries - 64 Broken Bones. I am a walking Miracle. ❤️🧵🪡🧵❤️
Congratulations on completing your rundisney races! I completed the Wine and Dine 1/2 in 2014 and it rained on us the entire time, so I feel for y’all! That was miserable, but always magical being at Disney, rain or shine!

Congratulations on your running results and admiration for the entire experience, it involves a lot of effort and a strong will, even if you are running next to Pluto and Dale. :) Both projects with the green ladies have already great progress, I cannot wait to see the Dimensions' enchantress and Mirabilia's fairy next time! You must be stitching pretty fast, I do not have this much progress, no matter how much I love the piece. And yes, those merry gentlemen would be great fun to stitch for Christmas and great fun to look at once stitched. ps. I must stitch myself a bookmark or something with Grumpy's saying, it suits me so well! :)

I am happy with how the needleminders turned out. It was much easier than I thought and I also needed more (I only had 2!). Thank you for that reminder. I do need to enjoy the time with him while he's here so I might not even stitch for the days he is visiting and then I'll catch up after!

Thank you so much! Disney sure knows how to do medals. They did have a wheelchair division of the races. Not many people in that section though. There were also some people who pushed people in chairs which was so inspirational to see!
Thank you! Oh you definitely should! A 5K is really fun and you can do it with no pressure on yourself. Just run/walk at your pace and enjoy it! Let me know if you decide to run one!

Thank you! Yes Winston is napping as always. Hopefully he will make an appearance soon ha. I don't think I had any special technique for 3 strands. Have you had trouble with them laying properly? Maybe it helped that mine were only half crosses?

I've got 2 different fabrics on order so hoping one of them will be OK, but they are quite light compared with the model stitch. I'm also eyeing up the new Joan Elliott design, The Sorceress, though...its fabulous but when will I fit that in?! I'm not sure I can resist it 🙈 Perhaps we can start Gaia together though; that would be fun 😄

Woodland Enchantress is coming out great. When I started her, I had the fabric oriented the wrong way. So I got a new piece of 14 ct blue. Dimensions fabric is awful. I just started Winter Cabin and the fabric is 16 ct grey. It was awful stitching so I got a new piece of 14 ct light blue. I like my pieces to be bigger and 14 is my happy place. Congratulations on finishing the race.
Thank you! Ok I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way about the Dimensions fabric! If I do another one I think I would also buy my own fabric. I do like how it's looking though!

I was watching a Disney parade once and the characters in the parade kept pointing and waving at the girl in front of me. After the parade passed she was putting things away in her backpack so I asked her what they were waving at. She was wearing her Disney run medals and the characters were applauding her! So cool!!!

Hi and congratulations on your medals. They are really fun. Those Merry Gentleman - their coats could still be black but in a different metallic for each - DMC black Étoile, and a couple of Kreinik metallics in black that have flecks of other colours. The Étoile guy could have silver gray pants in just a cotton floss and the other two a colour that is in the metallic. Just an idea - after all, it is a Christmas stitch - it has to have bling, right?

Use a fatter needle for the heavy strands, it will save your threads, and the holes will close as you stitch.

Disney does throw a great race. Congrats on finishing the Dopey challenge! I don't know about you, but I will never look at the exit ramps through the parks in quite the same way again; when I did the half for Princess Weekend, mile 9 was out on the roads and full of those on and off ramps.. it was the worst part of the whole race. Your Woodland Enchantress is looking wonderful so far. 🪡👠

I was happy to hear all about you races at Disneyland. Sounds like you had a great time and all your meals are amazing. My youngest son started running marathons a year or so ago and he really enjoyed it. He did one in Big Bear CA and had a blast. They actually had courses they had to go through one day and the next day they did the running not sure how far but he said the altitude start to get to him. The metal that he got was in 3 pieces, but he only earned 2 because he didn’t do the full marathon. This was his first and he said it was really tough running up and down hills at a high altitude. Your projects you are working on are beautiful. I still need to finish my WIPGO projects for the month. I’m doing Gothic Princess which is a full coverage and then my birthday start that is September Revenge. I’m looking forward to your next FlossTube

@@therunnerstitcher - I wish I could Run but due to health problems I can’t run. I love to do that and I give anything if I could. I have O. I. - Osteogenesis Imperfecta. I have had 64 Broken Bones since I was born and two broken bones before I was born. There is a lot that I cannot do but I have never gave up - I keep going - I stay active as best as I can - I am not in a wheelchair which says a lot for somebody that has O. I. 99% of the children and adults that have what I have are in wheelchairs. They cannot even stand up. I am one in a million that is not in a wheelchair. I don’t give up too easily and I have made it through 5 Surgeries - 64 Broken Bones. I am a walking Miracle. ❤️🧵🪡🧵❤️

Congratulations on completing your rundisney races! I completed the Wine and Dine 1/2 in 2014 and it rained on us the entire time, so I feel for y’all! That was miserable, but always magical being at Disney, rain or shine!

Both projects with the green ladies have already great progress, I cannot wait to see the Dimensions' enchantress and Mirabilia's fairy next time! You must be stitching pretty fast, I do not have this much progress, no matter how much I love the piece.
And yes, those merry gentlemen would be great fun to stitch for Christmas and great fun to look at once stitched.

I am happy with how the needleminders turned out. It was much easier than I thought and I also needed more (I only had 2!). Thank you for that reminder. I do need to enjoy the time with him while he's here so I might not even stitch for the days he is visiting and then I'll catch up after!

Thank you so much! Disney sure knows how to do medals. They did have a wheelchair division of the races. Not many people in that section though. There were also some people who pushed people in chairs which was so inspirational to see!

Thank you! Yes Winston is napping as always. Hopefully he will make an appearance soon ha. I don't think I had any special technique for 3 strands. Have you had trouble with them laying properly? Maybe it helped that mine were only half crosses?
Congratulations on the running. I was having the same ptoblem with different Dimensions pattern and was suggested to use some floss conditioner. I am using Thread Magic from Hobby Lobby

I've got 2 different fabrics on order so hoping one of them will be OK, but they are quite light compared with the model stitch. I'm also eyeing up the new Joan Elliott design, The Sorceress, though...its fabulous but when will I fit that in?! I'm not sure I can resist it 🙈 Perhaps we can start Gaia together though; that would be fun 😄

Woodland Enchantress is coming out great. When I started her, I had the fabric oriented the wrong way. So I got a new piece of 14 ct blue. Dimensions fabric is awful. I just started Winter Cabin and the fabric is 16 ct grey. It was awful stitching so I got a new piece of 14 ct light blue. I like my pieces to be bigger and 14 is my happy place. Congratulations on finishing the race.
Thank you! Ok I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way about the Dimensions fabric! If I do another one I think I would also buy my own fabric. I do like how it's looking though!

Loved seeing your Disney Run medals and pictures of you and your mom wearing your sweatshirts! I was watching a Disney parade once and the characters in the parade kept pointing and waving at the girl in front of me. After the parade passed she was putting things away in her backpack so I asked her what they were waving at. She was wearing her Disney run medals and the characters were applauding her! So cool!!!

Hi and congratulations on your medals. They are really fun. Those Merry Gentleman - their coats could still be black but in a different metallic for each - DMC black Étoile, and a couple of Kreinik metallics in black that have flecks of other colours. The Étoile guy could have silver gray pants in just a cotton floss and the other two a colour that is in the metallic. Just an idea - after all, it is a Christmas stitch - it has to have bling, right?
