Trying To Surf A Short Board At White Plains, Hawaii: Spot #23 Testing The Achilles

- Decided to go West to see if we could find some smaller, easier waves for me to test my Achilles. We landed at White Plains Beach which also ends up being Spot #23. My Achilles handled tho the surf session was one of the worst I've had in a while. White Plains is not the best wave tho I've had some really fun days out there when I lived on the West Side.
On this day there were some head high waves, but it was side shore chop with waves breaking all over the place. It was constant dipping and paddling, very tiring and frustrating. Managed to get a few waves with a couple of small turns and check off another spot. I was very happy that my Achilles felt good out there in the chop slop and now I'm ready to catch some of this big swell!

White Plains is such a weird spot. I've never been there when crosswinds weren't crazy.
Yes its usually a crosswind mess but when I lived that side I would score some early morning light wind days and actually get some pretty solid rides. Plenty of videos of it in my playlist section 🤙🏾
First time I ever surfed Hawaii was there. Don’t know why I picked that spot of all places but I think I saw it on TH-cam or something. How did you hurt your Achilles? Surfing?

There is a spot on the West side I caught several times, was told spot is a secret.... And that was in the 90s so even now I'm not even going to say the name of it. Breaks on a Southwest swell but needs to have some size, could be the same you were thinking. Do you have to park real close to Kam highway and walk a tiny bit to get to this place
It’s down one of the side streets off of Farrington Highway and named after a famous surfer. I’m gonna try and film it one day for this series but won’t name it as they’d never let me surf it again if I do that. 😂🤙🏾
@@NobuSurf Farrington....I knew I was wrong, Kam hwy doesn't go around the Westside. Place l talkinh about is a left, will handle size . Its the tip of a bay on the left side looking out from the shore
