This song is totem for my entire life. When I listen to it before exams, I always reach my points and goals. Never failed about this totem. On Saturday I will have GRE exam, so I feel anxious about upcoming career that I can cross the line throughout exam. Hope that it will happen again and I will achieve my ultimate goals. I never liked it when it played on the radios. But i realized - the song i knew only was a remix. This one - for me - is true art. Alternative at its finest and on top of that with rick nowels as a producer. Its sth different, a real masterpiece.

A friend of mine and his father went to visit some of their relatives who live at the other side of the country and they asked me to come with them. I was around 10 that time. That’s where i met her. She was my friends cousin and she was like the most beautiful person to exist. She was 2 Months younger than me and a bit taller, even though i wouldn’t confess it. The same day we arrived we went to a local lake to swim and instead of having fun with my friend i spent all my time with her playing and swimming. One evening we went to a restaurant near to a park, after dinner my friend, his cousin aka my crush, her brother and me went to play in the near park after promising the adults we would be back before it got dark. In the park she took my hand and led me to a pavilion (without her brother and my friend aka her cousin) . When we sat there, only the two of us, she sang this song to me. A week passed and we had to leave That time nobody of us had a phone or something and i was to embarrassed to ask her telephone number. I never saw her again and I don‘t have that much contact to my friend anymore and i think it would be kinda strange to ask him after his cousin after all these years ...

My interpretation of the video is that video is about one person with two different emotions/resolutions. The man is a symbolism for anxiety and desperation and the women would be acceptance and comforting. The interesting part of this could be that the women is dressed in black because she is the carrier of all the sorrow.

This is my interpretation. The following is jelousy and obssession. The man runs out of fear and surrenders, unable to cope. He seems to have committed some mistake. She seems to forgive him, to give him comfort, but then she looks at the camera and I interpret that it's not her love that's as big as the sea (first and last image of the video) but her madness.
I personally think that the man is trying to escape depression (the woman in black) but he gives up because it's too hard / she's too strong; and she eventually wins (last look into the camera)
