@aidan Murray, best speech I’ve seen so far, I am doing my groom speech in 3 weeks. Do you have any tips on how you planned and wrote yours down? Cheers mate
Ahh thank you so much! I'm annoyed at myself for not having notifications on, as I've missed this and didn't reply. Firstly, I hope your speech went well for you, and assuming you've already had it, that your wedding was amazing! For others (if it helps), I broke my speech into categories (My Wife, Family, Friends, Bridal party, Stag/Hen etc.) and wrote individual speeches separately. Once I was happy with all of them individually, I worked on shortening them and pulling them all together. That way, the idea of creating a full speech is less daunting, and when you're struggling for the right words somewhere, you can skip to somewhere you're more comfortable writing about in that moment. Notes in your phone is your BEST FRIEND. When something pops in your head. Get it in there! Hope that helps anyone else.
@@aidanmurray3991thanks for sharing. Great speech and good advice. 6 days until mine so your comment is perfect timing (similarly been together 18yrs)! All the best for you and your kin, looks like an amazing special day. 🙏
