- On December 18th my identical twin brother married his dream girl. I had my whole life to prepare for this yet I still left it to the week of. Some say I did a decent job 🤣 How do YOU think it went?

I’m also an identical twin and understand the relationship you guys have. Growing up with a built in best friend to play with, compete with, fight with, and while growing up, you has no idea that it was your best friend. Very fortunate to be a twin and nevertheless an identical twin so you can really mess with peoples minds! Best wishes! Btw - we never did the practice kissing but love it! 🤣🤣. EDIT: I typed my comment at the beginning and you just ended it with the “built in best friend”…that’s crazy!!! Maybe we all realize that EXACT fortune!! That was crazy to hear you just say that! Proves the point, that statement is just THAT FACTUAL!

Wow! The Best Man has so much character, and in the face of infirmity!
In the 1950s and 60s in England we very much had a 'class divide' and in our working class village having a professional haircut was deemed extravagent, particularly for one's children. So we children were sent or delivered to the village (after work) amateur hairdressing butcher who would literally place a pudding basin on his victim's head and all hair below the basin line was removed by shearing. Leastways in theory, as much hair was pulled out and blood was a regular sight.
The following is also true: I loved my hair and became traumatised by this and similar experiences involving tooth extraction without anaesthic etc., so much so that at age 13 all my hair fell out and never re-grew. (I'm now 71 years old). But at least I survived, unlike all of our dogs etc. but you don't want those details.
So, seeing the Best Man (and more particularly how his scalp had been butchered) memories of over sixty years old flash back. I am moved to tears for him and pray for hopefully a more favourable future, and hopefully a glorius head of hair!
