What??? Grindstone was amazing! Go Cowboy Swagger! He seems relaxed and steady. That stride is gorgeous! I think he loves barrels! So awesome, Fallon! Thank you for helping people understand the enormous potential of OTTBs! They are special!
Omg! I follow tb makeover? For years! Then I mysteriously got your vid in my u tube selection! WTF you own Cowboy Swagger! Ha! My worlds unite! Did anyone else pick this up? Mind blown! Love you even More!
Congratulations!!!! Just goes to show you, not only quarter horses or appendix can do the job right!! Can't wait for Day 3!! From a Dedicated Flomie in Ontario, Canada, Jenn.
These amazing thoroughbreds are so amazing! I'm getting chills just watching them run! So majestic and yet have the power and endurance to race! Stunning and gorgeous! He's definitely a beauty for sure! Yay, Cowboy Swagger!
can't wait to see the last day i was their today and thanks for the photo with cowboy swagger love u fallon your such a big role model of mine i am retraining my horse to barrel race now!!!!!!
That is one great thing about OTTB's is that most of the time since they have raced the crowds and the noise aren't as huge of a deal for them and they really seem to handle it will afterwards too. I worked with a rescue that specialized in OTTB's and at first I was surprised that nothing phased them until it finally clicked that oh yeah...they've seen way bigger crowds than this small schooling show! I think more people should definitely be aware that they won't have to work through the jitters of taking an OTTB somewhere crowded and it might make them more appealing to people who are super involved in competitive equine sports. Either way you did a great job with him and I'm more impressed in his lead changes than in anything else he did and all around he was super impressive.
Well I've worked at finger lakes, Belmont and juddmonte and a lot of them dont have the best mind. Most of them are good at home grounds and not show grounds. It just depends on how much they've been raced. I have my experience with good ones and bad ones.
Kel D I also work the track and did stallions for awhile. Plus I retrain full time. I can count on my hands the bad minded ones I deal with (typically they have a reason for it some don’t though) just like any breed. But I take them off the track to a show or barrel race less then a week after coming off the track all the time with zero issues. They all walk on a lose rein around the place without issue by the end of the day.
Hello everyone. So I have an OTTB mare who absolutely loves to go go go, which I like to do too but sometimes when we are having a nice normal trot she will get faster and faster. When I try to slow her down it takes a couple “woahs” and pulling a little at the bit for her to stop. Would anyone have any tips to prevent her from doing that? *Disclaimer* before people come onto me and say that I probably need more experience.. I just wanted to say that I have been riding for 8 years now and have fallen off A LOT. But Sunshine (my horse) has been the horse I have fallen off of the most and really has built my confidence and balance. I don’t mean to sound rude in anyway , shape, or form. It’s just I dislike it very much when people say I’m not experienced enough because it has taken me a lot of rough accidents to get to where I am. Thank you for listening to me blabber on - Aubree 🌼
Congrats again! We were so blessed to get to meet you yesterday! I feel awful and totally meant to acknowledge C$ and am so very sorry I didn't! Y'all keep rockin' it!
That race was incredible! Grindstone was in, what was it?, 12th or 15th coming into the backstretch. Then on the final stretch he came from about 5th place to a photo finish for 1st place. Amazeballs. Awesome stock. Good work with Cowboy Swagger by the way! He's looking great! :-)
No views 30 likes *Is TH-cam drunk again?* Also, Go Cowboy Swagger! _______________________________ Now, personally, I don't support the racing industry. Reasons are being them beating the horse (I mean at the end the horses are tired and they're beating them) but I think Fallon doing this project offered Swagger a much better home then what he had before!
Where is he now? I personally know the Breeders and his former trainers and owners from Portland Meadows. As a matter of fact I was rubbing his face and talking to him visiting with the owners he was claimed from when he was purchased through claim at Portland Meadows. TB's are very versatile horses, very sensitive, and highly misunderstood.
He is looking so good Fallon. I love how much he has progressed.
Who else thinks Fallon should use cowboy swagger at Pendleton Roundup 🥳🤔
That's exactly what I was thinking when she ran it!!
@@jessinjasonk9040 ...me too! He'd kill it..
He’s got the run 🐴🐴🐴😊👏🏻👍🏻
I’m pretty sure they have to be Registered QHs

Hi Fallon i love you and hope to become a barrel racer like you i started my horse not to long ago.
I like how he listens to u on his back. He's focused on u..
So proud of you guys
I believe you gonna have big luck with this pony
For a raced thoroughbred. He has the best mind. That's pretty rare in a race thoroughbred
Kel D not really it’s actually less common to find one with a bad mind. They are typically fairly reliable
Kinda the opposite lol
