I have never been around horses that offered more second chances to people than my thoroughbred. They need time, patience and kindness. They thrive on direction and discipline.
I show apha and Ptha and have been to a few aqha shows and have shown horsemanship all I can say is watch your circles and elbows when you are two handed you want to keep them nice and tight and your circles even and this is different for everyone and different associations but we usually wait until we have completely exited the pattern before we pet our horses so the judges know we aren’t still in pattern ! But other than that it was a great pattern for your first ever horsemanship pattern !!! Love you Fallon ❤️❤️❤️
This makes me so happy in my heart! I run an OTTB mare And we are completely underestimated! I’m hoping next year we will come in and show that thoroughbreds can excel in this discipline also
Beautiful! I have my 3rd ottb! They have the biggest heart ever! And I have one tb appendix I have had since he was 2,, he’s 30 now! And we did everything from cows to barrels to eventing, dressage, to volunteer rehab for little kids! TB’s have a very special place in my heart! We just adopted another one and thoroughly enjoying his retirement! Peace girl! I wanna win that blanket! But the ottb shirt would b cool! U rock!
toward the end of the pattern, he was connecting the back to the front. Lots of potential there! Not every step of every adventure is perfect. Getting out there and showing off your pony is what it's about! Great job!!
G’day Fallon &Team, we’ll done, CBS looks terrific & so do you mate, even with the sniffles. A great remedy I use is pineapple lemon apple cider vinegar olive oil and a pinch of salt, all chopped put in to jars shake to emulsify, consume as a syrup! Enjoy! FEAR = False Emotions Appearing Real! Would be a good slogan for a T-shirt... Enjoying your journey xo Victoria Australia
Cowboy Swagger is like Johnny Cash “ive been everywhere man.” From the race track, to the barrels, and then showin off his sexy at the Thoroughbred Makeover. Great performance! Y’all keep up the good work.
What a big pretty canter and nice flying lead changes first time out! Go Cowboy Swagger...look at him go! Way to go! Next time, I will make the trip down from Ohio! Kentucky Horse Park is one of my favorite places! I did not know your horses were Appendix. That is awesome! Yay!!
I just ran my personal record of 19.06 with my 23 year old heart horse! Your the reason why I got into barrel racing and although I have a long way to go, your videos make me excited for that’s next :-)
Cowboy did amazing very impressed with his collection and flying lead changes, your barrel pattern was so great but why wouldn't it be you were the jockey! Waiting for my Yellowstone sweat shirt to arrive LOVE THAT SHOW !!!!
I love thoroughbred horses and all of the horse and pony breeds . Amazing run Cowboy Swagger and he is going to be a star in Barrel racing world . Fallon Taylor did amazing horsemanship in the class . I love you and Cowboy Swagger so much. I brought and adopted a beautiful wild mustang mare roan paint mare that i named Mixie last year . i am training her to be my future barrel racing partner . Hopefully i see you Fallon Taylor in Arizona soon .
Omg! I live 30 mins from the horse back. I had no idea you were here!?!?!? I went to that arena for breyerfest! They had so many babyflos. I have been in that arena so many times and around those stalls.
Retraining a track horse is very very different. I grew up barrel racing with quarter horses, but have spent the last 15yrs retraining OTTB, and I was very naive about the training challenges you face. I highly recommend studying up and most of all talk with someone with experience before you even get an OTTB. Sadly you can get them so cheap, and too many end up in kill pens still wearing racing plates, although it's not supposed to happen, so you can easily find one, but many end up back there because people don't understand the needs of an OTTB fresh off the track. If you do choose one, reach out to many of the amazing groups that rescue them from the track, let them down for a few months to a year(because running at such a young age takes a toll they need time off), and restarted.
I wouldn't buy one straight off the track maybe get one that was retrained because they are very hyper off the track and are taught to go faster when you pull the bit and it's hard to retrain them but I got a 3yr old that was off the track but someone had retrained him and he is the best horse out of every horse I have and that's saying something because the others are 10+ when it comes to the rideable ones and one is even 24 and they aren't better than him and he is also the fastest but he does have times where his racing kicks back in his head and he will act like a racehorse and get hyper so maybe don't start with an OTTB unless you know you can handle one because it takes alot of patience and time
I love my thoroughbred, but getting her to a point where I could saddle and ride her was probably the hardest thing I ever had to do in my life. I had direction and hands on help from my mentor and good friend the late Peter Campbell. I spent my first summer saddling her every day and letting her just wear it. She can still get tight. I have to be careful with her. She is worth her weight in gold to me. This breed is not without its challenges. Consider an OTTB will probably need to be restarted. I think that can be more difficult than starting one from scratch. To me this is a journey. I was very fortunate that I met Peter Campbell about the time I started riding. He passed away. There are many good horseman and women who learned under Peter or Tom Dorrance and Ray Hunt. If it were me, that is the path I would follow. Peter told me that the horse was his teacher. I have had one hell of an education from some great horses to which I will be forever grateful.
If you’re REALLY set on an OTTB, PLEASE get an older one that has been already restarted and has been ridden for a few years. I own a 5 year old OTTB, he had already been restarted for about 5 months before I got him, but there are still A LOT of things he’s learning. Not to mention, he still has a track mentality so I can’t really take him out on trails with other horses or else he’ll bolt off at full speed. It’s definitely not a good idea to get a OTTB as a first horse. Keep in mind, I’ve owned 4 horses before him and have been riding pretty much my whole life, yet sometimes he still completely surprises me (not in a good way)
We have an event coming up in Massachusetts. It's called the equine affair. I feel like it would be so stinkin' cool if you came out to meet some of us northern folk. Some of us are scary but some (me) would love to meet you and your positive energy. Life has not been kind but i started watching your vlogs and they have really helped me keep my head above the water. I completely understand your time is slim with all the horses and rodeos, just an idea. Thank you for all your encouragement. Your most recent fan -Destinee
I wish I knew you were at Pendleton Round-Up I would have come to see you iam only 2 half hours away . I been going through so much in the last few years I had knee surgery last 160 lbs so I could have surgery. I wish sometimes I knew how to talk to you . You inspired me so much
Wow.Really nice work. You had my ole heart pounding when you ran the barrels!!! I hope you have a chance to walk the ***** XC course while you're there.
He did so good from personal experience running in that arena is really tough with a lot of people I really wanted to come and see you cause that’s like my home I always did horse stuff there and i was so happy that u went there he did amazing
I just bought a ottb and going to train her in barrels :) I’m excited to see her finished out and she has a big heart and is gonna make one heck of a horse
Of course baby flo is appendix. She may be but small but she is fierce. She is champion of the world have u seen that beautiful lady dig down and put all her heart in a run she is a rocket 🚀
Cowboy Swagger is amazing and makes me want to get a thoroughbred! People may say they’re useless but this here proves them wrong! Thoroughbreds deserve a second chance or a 3,4,5 etc.. thanks Fallon ❤️ Showing the world that thoroughbreds are capable of many things!❤️ Great filming C$💜❤️💜💜
Thoroughbreds are some of the most sought after and expensive horses, not to mention biggest earners in the world OFF the track too. Dressage, Hunter, Jumper, Fox Hunting (which is soaring in the US), endurance, cross country, etc...primarily use this breed, I don't know where you heard the useless term, but that's just asinine for anyone to say. Not to mention some of the best quarter horses are appendix. Likely a quarter horse owner, who only knows the western world and racetracks, made this statement to you. OTTBs, thoroughbreds, warmbloods, and warmblood thoroughbred x, are highly sought after in the English riding community, the same way a barrel racer looks for a quarter horse. That community is far larger in the world than the rodeo community. I live in both worlds, the last 30yrs training barrel horses(after making it to the NFR as a young adult), and then I switched to jumping, now I retrain fresh off the track OTTB for a specfic discipline. It's VERY VERY different retraining a track horse, just keep that in mind, you may want to buy a thoroughbred, and not an OTTB, if you don't have anyone experienced around to get knowledge from, not all, but many require being let down for a year after coming off the track. But I'm glad Fallon has you rethinking this amazing breed. A smaller 15h OTTB can actually excel at barrels on a higher level.
I was standing in the same place at the same arena as you a little while ago for breyefest if you go to the police horse barn see Oliver he is very sweet and has his own statue mold! Big fan
The thing about horsemanship and also showmanship is it’s about your ability to work with your horse as a team. I think you and Cowboy Swagger worked well as a team! The only critique I have is try not to post! I know it’s hard when that’s what your body is used to doing through muscle memory! I showed English, then decided I wanted to do Western Pleasure, then in High School I fell in love with Barrel Racing. My body was so used to posting at a trot it was hard for me to not post in Western Pleasure! But, like I said, it looked great!
Cowboy Swagger is one smart smooth horse, he transitioned from one discipline to the next as if he’s been doing this forever. Did I say he’s easy on the eyes 👀 like the jockey? I’m thanking Jesus and just drank my protein. Thanks guys.
what is the word she keeps using for colts...like at 2:39...fraternity colts? she said it in the previous video as well and I have no idea what she's saying or what it means :-)
AHHH! I saw Cowboy Swagger at the stables today! I didn’t know it was him at that moment though! I hope I can find you so you can sign my Babyflo model and perhaps take a photo or two!!! 💙💙💙
I have never been around horses that offered more second chances to people than my thoroughbred. They need time, patience and kindness. They thrive on direction and discipline.

Babyflo is Appendix 🤯 Mind blown! 😂
Casey Murphy I didn't know either!!
Her dam, Flowers and Money, the OG Flo, was actually out of a full Thoroughbred mare! (Floralie, which makes me wonder if she was also a “Flo”)
This makes me so happy in my heart! I run an OTTB mare And we are completely underestimated! I’m hoping next year we will come in and show that thoroughbreds can excel in this discipline also
Go Brianna! That is awesome!
I have an OTTB gelding and he is absolutely amazing he is my first OTTB but I already love them way more than Quarterhorses and every other breed
I have a 16.3 hand 3 year old OTTB I am currently training. He will be my next barrel horse. These horses are amazing!
I love him so much 😭😭😭 that run was so pretty and he can mortally freakin FLY
I love this horse so much, he's so willing and got such a big heart. Loving him doing the barrel pattern! 💓🙌🏼
Not bad for a first ever HMS pattern! Swagger had really started to relax there at the end. Rooting for ya from MO!!
Beautiful! I have my 3rd ottb! They have the biggest heart ever! And I have one tb appendix I have had since he was 2,, he’s 30 now! People underestimate ottbs so much they have the biggest hearts ever
FaithIn TheReins agreed!!
They do all tbs do
FaithIn TheReins I would definitely agree
What an amazing accomplishment and putting a diff breed of horse then you normally ride and give him a new purpose and letting him shine again🥰
Holy stride! Swagger has got some reach!
“Tallon Faylor” 😂 I love it
Madison Brown 😂😂
Time stamp?
G’day Fallon &Team, we’ll done, CBS looks terrific & so do you mate, even with the sniffles.

The barn I work at has SOOOO many OTTB’s and they’ve definitely won my heart! ♥️

I have a OTTB they are crazy but amazing!
Woo gotta appreciate that thoroughbred stride
I think u and swagger did a really good job, congratulations and I hope u feel better soon Fallon.

kbbels maybe useless wasn’t the right word! Just when retired race horses don’t always get the best homes. I don’t plan on buying a horse anytime.!
Cowboy swagger is soo good i knew you could do it Fallon love you 🐴💖
I was there it was so awesome!! Hopefully I see you again at the most wanted thoroughbred!!!!
PRETTY NICE JOB THAT PONY IS BEAUTIFUL ANIMAL

Omg your the best Fallon keep up the work and I will see you in Texas
What do you use to mount your GoPro on the top of your horses’ bridle for the 360 videos?
Hope you get to feeling better and kick those allergies! Cowboy Swagger looks amazing!💗💗

Not bad for HMS! The only thing is you want to stay about 10 feet off the rail for your circles :)
Nice job 👍 good luck with the rest of the show

Meeting you the other day at RRP was a dream come true!
what is the word she keeps using for colts...like at 2:39...fraternity colts? she said it in the previous video as well and I have no idea what she's saying or what it means :-)
