Many veterans at the time weren't as fortunate having decided to take their own lives rather than fight the head demons of gore and smell of war. (23/Marines commit suicide every day!)
Alcohol was the only relief nearly 50 years ago before having my own family and grandchildren!
I had honorably served my country as a United States Marine (Honorably Discharged) and cannot even possess a single bullet for life ...
Victimless DUI laws allow the driver to retain the driver's license, the vehicle, and voting rights but not the 2-A Right of protecting family, life, and wealth!

Wow.. simply wow. That may be the most accurate, most truthful and most moving speech I've heard. This man said it all and spoke for all of us. The only way this could have been better, is if he said this in front of congress and every major news outlet camera. But, they would NEVER air the footage. WAY too much truth here for them. Lt Governor Mark Robinson's speech is one of the all-time greats, it brings a single tear of joy to my eye each time I listen to it. As a white man I couldn't be more proud of having Mr. Robinson as a leader and a fellow citizen.

I came to the comments to see if it was Mark Robinson.
I just watched him testify that when he went to this meeting he intended to stay quiet. When he got up to speak, he had no notes and did not know what he was going to say. But God wanted him to speak and he credited his words to God.

@@TedSeay Yes it is. He went from being a worker in a furniture factory at the time of this speech to being lieutenant governor. He wasn't even intending to speak that night, but he got angry listening to the proceedings and decided to get up and state his views.
