I have been looking for someone who teaches color grading without the use of LUTS and I found it from your channel. DUUUUDEE!!! the OFFSET and GAMMA contrast is such a surprising tip I didn't know I need --can't believe the look and vibe I can create with your process without heavily relying on LUTS
Very straight forward tutorial. I mean very nicely done. It was very effective. Nicely made video as well, I'm sure that took some time! Have a nice day!
On the color tab go to upper left corner. There is a icon right under stills. Click that and you will see power grades. Right click on your footage, grab still and save it there. Now you can use it fot your future projects.
Emeğine sağlık dostum tebrik ederim. Nacizane tavsiyem saturation slider'ından uzak dur. HSV color input ile bir nose oluşturup Lift Gamma Gain sliderlar ile daha realistik ve dense renkler elde edebilirsin☺️
hi, aren't we suppose to keep the "skin color" in mind? Because sometimes I want to increase the saturation or other features but then the skin looks more orange than it is. What should we do then? Great video btw.
Thanks 🫶🏻 and of course we need to pay attention to skin tones. You can create a node parallel to the look node and use a qualifier to select the skin. This way you can maintain the skin tone. This was a very basic tutorial so I didn't go into detail on this 🙋🏻♂️
why do you put the CST node after the three preceeding nodes? Would'nt it make your whole grade wacky by grading the non transformed footage BEFORE putting it in the right color space? (I've just never seen this method before, even from guys like Cullen Kelly, Alex Bjorstorp or even Darren Mostyn, historically ALL THE VIDS I'VE EVER WATCHEED on this topic ALWAYS put the CST as the very first node and the very last node.)
@@kstalk09 Since they work on Davinci wide gamut color space, they first convert to widegamut and then convert to rec709. My way is actually a much simpler version.I also have videos where I use that workflow you mentioned.
This is incorrect, if you put the CST at the beginning of your node tree, then all following nodes or nodes "downstream" will be affecting the already converted Log->Rec.709 image, so you will have a lot less flexibility because they are affecting a rec.709 image rather than a Log image with a lot more data.
@@moonbowb i actually figured this out shortly after posting, but thank you for your reply. I get that it's already log for the first 3 nodes, but why not first convert to Davinci Wide Gamut and do all the colour correction in an 'enhanced' colour range, and then finally convert to 709 in the final node?

Hey, if you don't mind, can you tell me how much you earn from video editing and when you started video editing, how long did it take you to get your first client?
Hii, yes of course. I have been doing video production for about 6 years. I started right after university with unpaid jobs then I got my first paid client in a year. I can’t say how much I make exactly because it depends on the project.
