Lowari Pass Pakistan | Deadliest Road on Earth | Chitral

Lwari Top or Lwari Pass road is the most dangerous road on the Earth. Lwari Pass is the highest Mountains pass that connects Dir to Chitral Valley Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Lwari Pass is a relatively low pass as compared to the other pass which is 12,000 to 15,000 feet. Lwari is 10,230 feet high. Lwari pass is cover by snow from November to May. During this time jeeps and public transport cannot pass this. So people will cross by road. Every winter a few people are killed by avalanches while crossing Lowari Top. Their bodies are buried under the snow and it is only when the summer comes and the snow melts that their bodies are found and their fate learned. In 2009 a tunnel is constructed by a Korean Company. After a very short time, the tunnel is closed. Again in December 2019, the tunnel is operational. The total length of the tunnel is 8.5 Kilometers.
