Did you miss the Annual Meeting in March? Even if you were there, you will want to see this presentation again!
Our forests are amazing in their ability to multi-task. They can be filtering water through their roots while at the same time converting carbon dioxide to oxygen. They can provide an opportunity to enjoy deer hunting, while at the same time providing us with essential products that we use in our daily lives. But, as amazing as our forests can be, like us, they too have limitations. As landowners and forest managers, we need to be aware of the variety of services that our forest can provide while at the same time recognizing that our forests can’t do it all. Learning how to balance these services and interests is helpful in order to manage our forests towards resilience and sustainability.

On the topic of plants impacting our forests why hasn’t NJ banned the sale of some of the horticulture plants that alter our forest structure when surrounding states have?

Not sure if this would work but in organic farming small farms come together to be competitive in the market.
