Huge thanks for these videos! They were of so much help for me! I just replaced the intake manifold gaskets on my 1988 Trans AM GTA. Car had a slight coolant leak, and coolant were pooling on the passenger side of the intake. Propably came up through the bolts.
I noticed on line today that a lot of these parts are available for resell I was really surprised at what all is available. The Videos are so helpful and informative . It has really helped me a lot with my 90 C4
Yep, there are quite a few hard core old school fans that keep the part supply going strong for the TPI stuff. Glad your enjoying the series, I'm hoping to get it wrapped up shortly.
Thank you!!! I just got a 90 Vette and have never worked on cars in the past. This is like having a private mechanic instructor in my garage. Very helpful.
David, good point and I wholeheartedly agree. Since I"m tearing this engine down to the shortblock for a deep cleaning after the previous owner filled it full of liquid head gasket sealer, I didn't bother to vacuum first.
It is a roller cam block with the one-piece rear main seal. You can delete the EGR valve. However, you will probably experience some driveability issues such as running rich and the ECM throwing codes since it's an integral part of the early computer systems on these cars.

I absolutely would vacuum any intake before you pull it off the Block so you don't introduce dirt

Hey buddy trying to get the vacuum lines for a z28 tpi
Dorman makes a vacuum line kit for GM vehicles. They should stock it at your local auto parts store.

Please let me know thank you very much

Wasn’t that the bolt that you lost when taking off the runners ?
Looking back at it, I think your'e correct. Will look at it more closely when I start to reassemble. Nice catch👍
