    What's the worst repair job you've ever seen done to a car? Make sure to let me know in the comments below👍

    Yes. Came back to see if you replied, just finished watching that one. The problem is, it is not a corvette, doesn’t cover hoses leaving canister, distribution block I believe is just under the front of the plenum on drivers side. But looking at that video, I see that I have many problems. Do you have one where you not only show the hoses and what they do, but also take the plenum off. That would leave no stone unturned.

      It just so happens that I have an 85 Corvette Tuned Port engine I will begin tearing down shortly. I will make a video detailing the vacuum circuit on the Corvette setup versus the F-Body setup.

    I just picked up a1987 5.7 Corvette W/cruise control/ and he said “you can drive this car across the country”. He lied. Cruise didn’t work. And when I got home with the car, looking at motor, I noticed a couple vacuum hoses w/bolts in them and the vacuum ports passenger side rear plenum were off. I don’t know what the round valve looking thing is or where that vacuum line goes. The canister is located left front. Vacuum hoses change sizes several times and I can’t get a clear understanding of where a hose should start-where there should be a tee-or a-Y and then where both should route and then finally end up and what that part is called. I’m never putting this back together like Bubba did. Do you have a late 80’s 5.7 TPI THAT YOU TAKE THE PLENUM OFF OF AND SLOWLY SHOW EACH HOSE BEGIN-SPLIT OFF-END UP AND WHAT EACH PIECE IS CALLED WHERE IT BEGINS AND ENDS. AT THIS POINT I WOULD SETTLE FOR HAND DRAWINGS. ALSO, SOMETHING EVERYBODY KEEPS TELLING ME GHEY DONT HAVE IS I HAVE A VACUUM HOSE THAT COMES OUT FROM UNDER THE CANISTER-SPLITS WITH A TEE AND THEN BOTH HOSES JUST LAY THERE OPEN!??? I need guidance. The little diagram on the radiator cover is stupid. It neither shows true routing nor does it name the part or show splits or size of hoses.

      You're in luck. I just released a video a few weeks ago detailing the TPI vacuum system. You can see it here -

      If you have any questions, just let me know. I can try to help walk you through it👍

    Keyword a few owners before me and I noticed there is no fan shroud so the coolant fans couldn't properly draw the heat from the radiator unless you deleted the fan shrouds🤔🤔

      You talking about on your Corvette or the Firebird?

      @@VetteSource The Firebird Formula 1 AKA F- body🤓🤓.. as for my Corvette I will make an attempt to replace the coil pack after doing some research the coil pack that goes bad, it can able your vehicle to shut down and loss of power wish me luck😎😎🇺🇸🇺🇸

      Yep, that is definitely on the agenda. I am tinkering with the fusebox right now chasing a dead power wire but hope to have it fired up again soon.

    SHOULD have taken the opportunity to swap the cam or put a better set of heads on this tpi engine.

      I could have, but this one needs to stay stock and original.

    Any chance you could help me out I used a motor out of a 87 gta when removing it I broke what I think is the water temp sensor it is located on the drivers side head but I lost the old one and I can’t seem to find the correct size one any chance you would have a correct part number thanks

    • @VetteSource
      @VetteSource  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure, that would be temp sensor that controls the fan. The current AcDelco # is 88865046. They are listed on Rock Auto for $25 and some change.
