    • @Thatslifebro_
      @Thatslifebro_ 3 ปีที่แล้ว +40

      They weren't in control of Vulcan high command per se, but they certainly had sympathizers. I think the Warp 5 holdback had more to do with Vulcan bad experience and trying to keep Humanit, from delf destructing.

    • @CoolsBreeze
      @CoolsBreeze 3 ปีที่แล้ว +45

      @@Thatslifebro_ V'Las was literally a Romulan agent, so yes they were in control of the Vulcan High Command. And if the Romulans were in control of the highest Vulcan military organization for that long then it's not hard to believe that they would hold humanity back in an effort to create destabilization in that region. And that way it would make it easier for Romulans to take over. That's also why they encouraged a war with the Andorians and Tellarites. More instability makes it better for Romulans.

      There's a reason Andorians, after humans, are probably the most prevalent species in Starfleet, and why it's awesome one is the Captain of the Odyssey-class Enterprise-F in STO, Va'kel Shon, who very much earned that seat having your back several times in the USS Belfast, a Defiant-class.
      A particularly good, and funny, bit is occasionally when you do some of the repeatable patrols, Shon'll show up with the Enterprise and say "It's nice to see we aren't the only ones who respond to distress calls!" and then you get to tag-team the enemies on it with the Federation Flagship.

In just two main events , the Andorians , unlike the Vulcans, have earned tlmuch respect towards Humanity and they earned respect more when Humanity discovered that it was the Romulans who are destabilizing the political situation of the Alpha Quadrant, which paved the way to the creation of the Federation

While you probably remember when smartphones were the new and thrilling technology, I remember when color television was new and thrilling. I also remember the original Star Trek which I loved. I aged watching all of the various Star Trek spin-offs over the years and loved them all, but I have to agree with you that Enterprise was my favorite. Going back to the beginning, the crew feeling their way through new encounters with no historical basis to guide them, making up the rules as they went along. A great concept and it is a shame the show wasn't given more time to develop. I guess sci-fi fandom is one area at least where there is no 'age barrier' where the young, the old and everyone in between can find common ground. May the force be with you! the humans have a few tricks
      1. They fight as hard as Klingons but aren't nearly as easy to trick
      2. Earth has enough warp 3+ combat ships that it could (with great losses) take the space around Vulcan and hold it
      3. If an Earth vs Vulcan war broke out the Andorians might not throw their ships in but they would give Earth a generation or 2 old tech that would put them on near equal footing with the Vulcans
      4. The Vulcans know they would only have a year at most to defeat the humans before the humans would be able to take them on their own due to human tech advancement during wartime
      also, this is played out in the Earth-Romulan war bc it was Earth-designed ships using some Andorian tech (mostly structural integrity systems, no weapons or shields) and an all-new earth designed computer system built i the Andorians, and Telerites empires that made human ships able to square up against the most advanced ships of the Romulan empire and win, even when Andorian ships couldn't

      @@JanoyCresvaZero I didn't like Enterprise 20 years ago when it was first airing. I felt it interfered too much with the history before TOS and I wasn't a fan of some of the acting. I've recently been watching it as it's the only show from the TNG production era that I haven't watched through. After seeing how bad Discovery and Picard have been, it makes me appreciate this and realize it's a lot more like TNG and Voyager than I realized at the time. Still not a fan of the Xindi arc and the temporal cold war, but overall the show's grown on me over the years.

All the senior bridge officers are department heads and should be Lt Commanders with a senior chief advisor, then have LTs and Ensigns as division officers leading 12-50 petty officers, un-rateds and a single chief. DS9 being the exception because Sisko starts as a commander so his XO would be an Lt. Commander and the department heads full LTs with JG LTs and Ensigns as division officers.

    I wonder if the Vulcan Administrator is an ancestor of a certain Starfleet Admiral in charge of the defence of Earth in the 24th Century?

    After ENT let this temporal cold war arc behind and focused on the formation of the federation it became quite good. Too bad a lot of episodes were wasted on stuff no one really wanted to see as it seems. Episodes like this were the ones the fans were waiting for. So the last season actually demonstrated the potential the show had. Jeffrey Combs, Gary Graham and the main cast are good actors that played well together. Would've loved to see another season. An not some rubbish like STD.

      Some of the early episodes were wonderfully done as well. Take a look at "Carbon Creek", for example.

      st:picard did this intentionally. Enterprise deserved more. Scott was a awesome lead captain for the franchise. Paramount just went for a younger demographic and went the cheaper route in visual media, before live streaming became a big thing.

      Jeffrey Combs played a great many roles:
      memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Jeffrey_Combs
      But only 2 minor roles as a Human.
      Interestingly he almost had made it to become Riker. But Jonathan Frakes beat him to that role. Only to later hire him when he was directing one DS9 Episode. And as they say "The rest, is history."

    V'Las of the Vulcan High Command is played by the same guy who played Vice Admiral Leyton. Two very high ranking officials trying to overthrow or take over their respective governments from within portrayed by the same guy. Hmmmmm.

      In Babylon 5 he played General Hague. Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff. He put together a coalition of high-ranking military and civilian officers to expose and if necessary overthrow President Clark. At least in B5 he was one of the good guys. And on SG-1 he was the leader who got overthrown. Almost. That was one of the Jonas Quinn episodes. It's fine if you don't remember.
