That's happened to me so many times. If you switch out at the perfect time, incinerate damage just doesn't register anywhere for some reason. It happens A LOT for me.
My 15Attack, Shadow Mewtwo. Ran Focus Blast for a bit which did 1-shot Registeel from FULl health, but switched to flamethrower as second for cheaper energy and overall coverage move.
QOTD: Not super spicy but Anine has been awesome! One of my favorites to use, any time I get to run it in a limited cup it's one of the first ones I try out

This pokemon go GBL is still full of so many glitches and questionable lags, server disconnecting, weak question to death and not to mention app crashing on a situation Where you have the game won already Isn't that interesting

most likely a visual glitch, damage will show up when its switched back in.
if you have good timing, you could even get a catch on a fast move so the damage went on to emolga

Salazzle is the most fun pokemon! I lose a lot of course but it is so fun to win with it! Especially when knocking out a Quagsire with fire blast 😂

I think I'd have preferred this combo, but I wanted it to play slightly different to Zapdos for this team so went with the flying nuke & electric bait
