I have to say their support is on point ...had an issue and let them know... they got back to me with a correct answer next day ...then asked me the next day if it was figured out!!! I'm impressed

Yes, I realize that I am "late to the party" and all with this device as others have done reviews, but they sent this to me and asked me to do the review. Frankly there is always overlapping content in the ham radio niche. I have done topics in depth only to have other channels cover the same thing later on and get more views. It is what it is, and if I do a video that someone else has done already, just consider it an alternate viewpoint and be done with it.

I’m doing UV-5Rs for everyone for Christmas and I wanted to put make them all talk to each other. So I got the programmer, wrote a program with tons of common channels, NOOA, and repeaters. After writing this program for a good hour I had everything saved and ready to transfer. Takes less than a min per radio to program so now all my radios have the same program and they all have names now. So I ordered 10 UV5Rs, pulled just the radios out of the boxes, put my battery on them and flashed them all with the same program. The programmer for me works very well but took a min to figure out. Makes it super easy to program on the fly even offline. In other words, I can be in the middle of nowhere and still flash a radio with a saved program. I chose Baufeng for a reason, it’s what got me into radios and it’s so dang inexpensive.I’m able to get 10 baufengs for the price of one of my midland or kenwood radios. If I get one kid into HAM radio then it’s worth it.

hello Ria, Thank you for your honest and in-depth video. Need to log in because When need to synchronize some data between mobile phone and computer. In addition, in the past few months, we have made a lot of updates. We have added many new functions. The [repeater list] function has been updated recently. We also want to continue to hear more feedback, which will make us progress and become better. Thank you again!!!

I don't like that the app doesn't show all the freqs so you can pick which channel to program. I agree with you on the spreadsheet visual.

Hi,..I have been watching some of your videos and live discussions via utube. I believe your the only person who can answer my questions as a new 68 yo old, technician licensed ham radio guy as of April 2022. I only have an ipad and iphone due hand paralysis (no formal computer). I watched the TIDradio bluetooth episode and got to thinking that my ability to finally purchase a HT radio was possible. Can I start with an inexpensive Baofeng or TIDradio compatible radio to the TIDradio wireless bluetooth device and simply use the bluetooth device and the odmaster app to get up and going? Is there another step in initial programming of a HT radio that needs to be set up with a traditional non mac computer before I start using the TIDradio wireless bluetooth device? Before I viewed you TIDradio bluetooth device video I thought I was locked out of the ham radio world…thanks (dana via Maine)

They're promising to make this work with other radios. I hope that includes Kenwoods, including my marvelous TH-F6A. After all, it was Kenwood who created that two-pin UI that Baofeng radios adopted. Make it work with one of them and it should work with them all.

This device is garbage...at least the Odmaster software is. It corrupts the CTCSS tones on my two BF-F8HP radios requiring full reset to restore function. The social aspects of the software make it super annoying. I recommend sticking with Chirp. Also, I was just blown off by both Tidradio and Odmaster's lousy support.
