Smoking and drinking kisi ko bhi nahi karni chahiye chahe vo ladka hai ya ladki .I think is baat pe debate karna galat hai that ladke ka smoke and drink karna acceptable hai by society then ladkiyon ka bhi smoking and drinking should be considered normal by society.This is not a issue that should be considered on gender basis .It is a very series issue jispe hume dhayan Dene ki need hai taki smoking and drinking Karne valon ki percentage kaam ho or ek din I wish yeh percentage khatam ho Jaye rather than puting this issue in gender discrimination corner . Thank u so very much Riteish for having said what u said at the end...Men Women, judging non-judging, these things do not matter when it comes to addiction. As such I tend to take the middle path in life but here yes I do judge people who smoke and drink (for recreation or even to a certain degree to cope with situations in life). You do judge the character of a person on the basis of his life choices and resorting to such things irrespective of the gender will be a matter of negative discussion. Also the point made regarding arranged marriages, I do agree men are probably judged less compared to women but even they dont have a free pass. In most good households special calls are made to common friends to know about the character of the boy which includes questions regarding these habits. Even boys are judged and many boys I know of hide the fact that they smoke or drink from their families from the fear of being thrown out or a broken limb.
It made me remind of something happened to me in school : I was thinking something and hold my pencil in between my fingers and my male teacher just insulted me by mocking it in front of the class, and I was like wth,

It's really not about judging, priority is health. Actually mostly people don't know why they have mindset of good and bad about someone who drinks or smoke it's actually we think that if someone who even can't control his/her own senses or habits what they can do in their life. Habits and words are the most important thing that a human choose in themselves so as a human we choose good habits consciously, a very important difference between a human and animals is consciousness we change habits and things but animals can't . They are dependent on their birth species and follow only eating, sleeping and birthing same population but humans have a tendency to do things beyond this. Not only doing same things in a upgraded manner.
Alcohol is not as detrimental to your health as smoking is, and in limited consumption it has other benefits, especially in social situations for introverts and in breaking the ice with people and letting your guard down, if you can learn your limits and appreciate taste and finesse. It need not result in harm
to your health and unlike smoking, it doesn’t harm others
