Second of all, even if he showed off a bit, which I think wasn't the case at all, he deserves it! Being a great pianist is not a paid-for spot but earned through hard work and dedication. In my opinion he is indeed a great pianist, very talented and he feels the music as he pleases. If he brags a lot its his problem but something I dont like about him (except on this particular song, maybe cause he was along with the orchestra) is the stupid effect he does on the song itself. Staccato where doesnt belong, fortísimo where doesnt belong, etc. Sounds horrible in the most songs he plays

En écoutant et regardant ce pianiste jouer avec cette tel conviction et détermination, je me vis à sa place dans bien des années, si un beau jour cette oeuvre me paraîtra parfaite pour être représenter, ce qui en définitif serai un grand pour moi un grand rêve.
I really admire Lang Lang very much, he has a wonderful sense of humour, and he loves music, it shows in his style, being able to play so many different composers is very difficult, also he memorizes the notes, he knows what he is doing.

I think I just died inside. People hate Lang Lang for the same reason they hate Justin Bieber or Twilight --> he puts himself in spotlight of all pianists without being as good as the others are. Of course he plays well, he can even play nearly every piece with every difficulties there are, but he won't play it with the feelings that most people feel comfortable with. The thing is that the public is not interested in skill, but in presence. He is seen everywhere, so people hipe him. That's it ;)
Though an amazing performance (as Lang Lang always does) Krystian Zimerman`s Polonaise interpretation is much better. In my opinion Zimerman is the only one who can play Chopin`s pieces perfectly.
@@waszkreslem9306 one day someone gave me a CD of Chopin's polonaises recorded by him...I simply hated it... it was looking like a MIDI playing...sorry 😂
