- Victoria is from Githunguri kiambu county. She is raised by a single mother and the journey wasn’t easy. They were seen as the less fortunate among the family. Family wrangles between her mother and siblings led to the mother running away from the homestead . She narrates how childhood traumas and struggles affected her. On reaching 17 years , she got pregnant and got married to a homestead where she was about to get herself into trouble.
She narrates how she was made to take an oath (muma) to never disclose the new family’s issues out there. Her marriage started with measures from the stepmother and she would become a slave more than a wife. Later in marriage the husband started petty crimes But graduated to robbery with violence and other atrocities. She narrates how she discovered he was hiv positive and how she luckily wasn’t infected

It is not connected.it is her life and her marriage,about chira she realised on december that chira was born by the brother to his husband before chiras mam seperated with the dad..so she was saying chira before her mom went back to her parents ,his name was kihara from dad's side.but he was later changed to chira his mothers dad.she saying about the things that were in that family where she was married would have led to chiras behaviour and rejection.that chiras dad used to remarry and all the wives after seperation died.and he would not look after his children.so all his children are ophans and most of them suffer.they had history of theft ,bestiality and hiv pademic..so she was saying maybe thats why the grandfather refused to burry him because of those spirits@@janetwangui1032
