My wife is a full-blooded Vintage Girl so this is at the top of our Universal hotel wish list. She even works out every day to old Jack LaLanne videos! Thanks so much for this great run through which just made me want to stay there more. Oh, and I may want to stay there just for the milkshakes...

@@fudge_factor No hard date yet, mostly depends on the economy not sucking so hard so we can begin to plan on spending money on something other than food & rent. ;-) That said, really hoping for a stay sometime in the next year. Totally get that! That’s us for June! We will have stayed at Cabana Bay for every trip this year leading up to June. Might swap and go to sapphire falls just to mix it up! The grounds aren’t as nice as sapphire, but depending how much time you actually spend in the room it might not be a huge factor!
Seriously! Bypass the general park admission line at Volcano Bay was so much fun! Makes you feel like a VIP! Volcano Bay might be a great way to spend the morning before HHN!
We just got back from our stay at Cabana Bay. The staff is stellar. We really liked the family suite. I have three suggestions for improvements. I wasn't pleased that our plugs kept falling out of the electric sockets. They need an upgrade. We're also not Starbuck people. A good regular cup of coffee or tea is all we wanted. It is time for a new brand of coffee in both the rooms and the restaurant. It tasted like instant. The cold tea in the restaurant was nasty too. Hook iced tea to the Coke freestyle machines as their tea is great. Loved walking to Volcano Bay. FABULOUS water park. 😊
Good video! My husband and I have stayed at Cabana Bay and Aventura. For us Cabana Bay was nice and the Jack LaLane gym was great for my husband, who is a lifelong exercise enthusiast. We found it a bit noisy and busy though. We actually preferred Aventura, because we are a middle-aged couple traveling without children and we want more quiet and modern amenities. We also enjoyed being closer to the water taxi so we could have choices of either shuttle or water taxi. So for us, Aventura was the better option, and for people in our position, I would recommend the Aventura as well. But I can definitely see how fun Cabana Bay can be for people who enjoy all of their amenities.
We totally hear that! Cabana Bay is a great fit for families, while Aventura is excellent for a more adult friendly vaca. We 100% agree having that water taxi close at Aventura is super nice and a great option to get back to your hotel at the end of a long day in the parks! We went to Cabana Bay a few times the year it opened. We went again this past July and well now it's way to crowded, we still made the best of it but we probably won't be going back.

Great video, as always! We love the design and style of Cabana Bay but it is just too big and too far from Islands and Studios. It seems great for families and has enough entertainment and amenities to keep kids happy that you almost don’t even need the theme parks, but you have volcano bay right next door. We’ve stayed there twice without kids, both times in the smaller rooms in the big building. Those exterior entrance suites look nice! we usually “book-end” our trips at the cheaper universal hotels with a premier hotel stay in the middle. Last year we stayed once in June when we got drenched in an afternoon downpour during the long walk on the garden walkway from Islands, and once in November where it was decorated nicely for Christmas. I think when we go back in June for the meetup, we will try Aventura.

I stayed at the cabana with my family and it was perfect. Never once did I hear kids except for out at the pool. I would stay there again. The food prices aren’t that bad. It’s a really cute place. We had a room that opened up to the pool so we didn’t have to go upstairs. It’s a really good value and I think it’s much better to stay there versus Surfside or the other budget property. This property is about a 20 minute walk if you wanted to walk early in the morning to be first in line for early entry.

I’m staying at Cabana Bay right now it is really nice it’s really big though there’s slightly over 2,000 rooms yesterday whenever I first got here I had to use a map to find my way around because it’s so big now I know where pretty much everything is though and it’s been fun so far I was planning on going to Universal or City Walk but my parents went to both places and said they were ok just so overwhelming because of so many people I’m just planning on staying at the resort and not going to Universal or City Walk because to me it’s not fun having to deal with a huge crowd of people I would just rather sit by the pool and have a beer and enjoy the nice weather that’s my kind of fun lol obviously everyone is different and likes to do different things but my ideal vacation is sitting outside enjoying nice weather on a beach or by a pool and having a drink that’s what I call paradise right there.
Between the lack of water taxi (I got spoiled), and the overabundance of kids (I am 60)...Cabana Bay will never top my list. It does look like fun though! Maybe for that first night before getting into a premier hotel.

I love the look and style..but I usually stay at aventura just for the more grown up less kid vibe.
That is the biggest difference in our opinion. The vibe and set up of Aventura is much more adult focused!
