- In this video, I'm back with another crazy idea in Planet Coaster. As always, we'll start with fast and smooth roller coasters. But at the end of the track, there's a surprise - a jump where a part of the track is missing, and the cars will leap over the gap. Will they make it back onto the rails after the jump?

Question: How did you make the train jump over the gap and land back on the track?
@@christinawalker3444 That's simply a patch for Planet Coaster with a glitch that causes invisible tracks when using electromagnetic drive on some coasters.
If the jump doesn't kill you, all the trees smashing you in the face will.
You couldn't pay me enough to go on that ride.
Interesting video but I can't imagine the coaster could jump a gap and stay on the track. Looks good though.

The new donkey kong coaster at universal looks a littke different than the concept
The Donkey Kong roller coaster will have leaps like this in it. They use a real track under a fake track with a cantilevered support on the car.

How did you do it? Planet coaster doesn't allow this as far as I know.
A mod
it's one of the most common planet coaster mods which allow you to set a lsm launch on all coaster types. those that are incompatable in vanilla don't render the track therefore making it invisible.

@coasterbase well, I'm a roller coaster mechanic and I can 100% promise you it wouldn't work
@@mike2865 But if you calculate all the angles correctly, and the speed, maybe 1 time out of 100 it will work. No?
@coasterbase that all depends on guest load, humidity, wheel wear. There are way too many factors for the bogey assembly to line up perfectly after the jump. Not worth the risk.
@coasterbase also the bogey assembly pivots freely when not on the track. It wouldn't stay rigid to line up. Also get a few plus sized guests in a few seats and you're screwed.
