Thank you, this was the first recreation I did and I didn’t think to put in the background music 😅 I’ve added the music in all my newer builds like new Reno though.
Pretty long but interesting what if theory at what the game could've been like after the rant Imagine if Bethesda actually did their job when it came to fallout 4. We could've had at least 3 or 4 small towns like this around the wasteland but the best we got was a shanty town in a baseball stadium, an underground community only accessible through a plot device and a couple of large farms scattered across the land. I get the majority of the focus was building the world to be super empty like it is to give the player the ability to literally shape the commonwealth in his or her own image and make it their own but that only really revolves around 1 faction, otherwise there's no reason to do anything with the settlement system aside from choosing one of the larger locations and building large towns with an abundance of shops to keep the player supplied in caps. It's not for a place to stay or anything cus the other 3 factions give u a place to stay at their headquarters (well 2 but the railroad let's u use a mattress until u build mercer safehouse). Then theres the dlc, raiders r freaking useless. Farharbor is really the only place worth building with the community leader perk, letting u set up the farm u get as main food production for the other 2 locations where the logging company building or whatever I mainly used as a town with shops and stuff and the visitors center was either my personal fortress in the fog or the hub of all my security focused responsibilities for the other 2 locations. Other than that there's no real need for the building. They could've put a bunch of prefab towns and some call-backs in the game like building this type of vault city and having sanctuary already built with unique characters with interesting backstories and quests while keeping the 4 armies and tweaking it a bit. Like have the minutemen still going strong but on the verge of a coup but u manage to stop it but not before the current general gets killed and ur previous side quests with the faction would've had u as his or her second in command so u become the new general. While the institute and railroad could really stay mostly how it is maybe make the institute less cartoony and not the boogy men they currently are. Then the brotherhood comes in and they are of course looking for tech but finds out how advanced the institute is so they become aggressive to the whole region under maxons rule seizing the airport and police station as a headquarters and outpost so paladin danse and his squad wouldn't be at the police station but instead using one of the old pre-war bunkers til the plot needed them to show up in force where if u r working with them, you, danse, and haylen go on a covert op to the military base where u would originally fight kellog to use its military grade transmitter to call in the brotherhood. Instead of this stupid plot to find Shaun, both ur spouse and child are in the vault waiting for you to come back to tell them you've made things safe outside for your family and the game ends with whatever faction u helped being in full control of the region and your family comes up for the first time and settles back down in their prewar home where codsworth gladly greats them over the years ur family adjusting to their new wasteland lifestyle with little spins on it depending on ur associated faction.
Ok.. look.. I left my car there cuz you said you could fix it...I've been waiting since Sept 2077 dammit!!! But nooooo...you build a freaking town around it!!
I did not know Vault City was like that because every time I heard Vault City being spoke of on youtube or read of it I always pictured a massive area with multiple Vault Tec Vault doors miles apart from each other but all connected into one massive Vault.
Thanks man glad you like the builds I love trying to recreate locations from the old games, I’ve had a little break from settlement building but I’m going to start again soon and yeah I agree fallout 1 and 2 are two of my favourite games ever.
The metal fences? The “homemaker” mods adds them and there is also a mod called “Graf’s security fences” that adds them aswell. If you mean the concrete walls then the “homemaker” mod adds them aswell, they’re the covenant walls.
The grass you can get from the mod “grounded” but I used “karesansui workshop” and I can’t remember what mod has the flowers I just remember they got added to the deco tab
I’m not sure if I could do that, it too many hours to build lol on my Facebook page I have Birdseye pics of this build that gives you a better view of how everything is placed.
thanks, do you mean the shacks at the entrance? This build is based on vault city from fallout 2, I tried to make it as close to the real location as I could.
They’re in the mod “project Mojave settlement objects - www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/55332?tab=images You have to have the project Mojave mod aswell - www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/55215
I’m currently making blueprints of all my settlements and putting them on nexus but unfortunately most of my settlements have mods that aren’t available on console
The fence pieces are diamond city fence from the mod “homemaker” and the Brahmin are from the mod “CvC” (there’s a farming add in for the mod) I’ll put the links here 👉 CvC - www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/43818 Homemaker - www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1478/
I’ve been thinking about it but I don’t know how I’d pull it off, maybe the mod that flattens Spectacle island might help 🤔 I’m currently doing The Sierra Madre though, should be finished in a few days.
Lol, have you played fallout 2? The “real” vault city has quite a lot of empty space especially inside buildings, I was trying to make it as close to the original as possible
When I type it into the console it says it’s from the mod “Lima detachment” but I thought it was from the project Mojave mod.. let me know if it is from lima detachment.
the only thing this beauty lacks is THAT Vault City soundtrack... good job.

Thank you 🙏
In the middle of my first FO2 playthrough, Vault City is one of my fav locations so far, great job!
Thank you 🙏

6:16 First Citizen Lynette! Great attention to detail!
Haha I’m glad you noticed, at 5.04 in the maintenance centre that’s meant to be Vic and his daughter Valerie

This is the outside area the actual vault in Vault city is vault 8 and it has 3 levels.

Where can one find that MINUTEMAN ANIMATED FLAG?
I can’t remember the mod for that exact flag but this one has similar flags - www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/27781
What mod did you get the fences from? Been craving those fences (with gates) for ages
The metal fences? The “homemaker” mods adds them and there is also a mod called “Graf’s security fences” that adds them aswell.
