I agree totally, I find "Legends" is far better than the air-rifle enemy hits of "Goldeneye Reloaded" with no blood, RPG weapon elements or the legendary Bond gadgets all present in "Legends" & I very much appreciate the varied 007 "eras" from each Bond actor portrayed nicely in each level along with excellent iconic 007 movie soundtracks with authentic Bond women & adversaries. Good for you for defending a favorite game of mine which for some strange reason received unjust reviews. I defended it in my own review at launch as a huge Bond fan.
vinniecorleone62 I have seen every bond film myself but I didn't think this was going to be any good, I thought it was going to be just like quantum of solace, first person shooting gallery with a few melee sections but after seeing this review I might pick it up
@@dionwoollaston5717 If you liked "007 Goldeneye Reloaded" at all it's even better in many ways, one of my favorite Bond games, especially for the 7th gen.
You should check out James Bond 007: Blood Stone. It's not an FPS - it's a third-person shooter. It uses Daniel Craig's Bond in an original story. I thought it was really good.
Man, Blood Stone. That game is one hell of a third-person shooter. Whenever I come back to it, I'm always surprised at just how tight the shooting feels, considering the only other similar game Bizarre Creations made was The Club, which had somewhat floaty gunplay. I guess they really learned from that game. That we never got a sequel to Blood Stone bothers me a bit, and Activision shutting Bizarre Creations down because of it's own shit marketing angers me. A good studio killed for no good reason.
@@innoclarke7435 Despite it ending on cliffhanger it ties well with Spectre plotline, so it doesn't feel like the story is unfinished. But yeah, I'd love to see a sequel.
@@innoclarke7435 Blood Stone was great. Its gameplay was very similar to Splinter Cell Conviction, which made me happy because I liked Conviction's gameplay a lot but felt that it was very ill suited for a series that was based around slow paced, methodical stealth. Turning Sam Fisher from Tom Clancy authenticity to fast superspy was off, but using that gameplay style for James Bond, especially Craig's version of James Bond, was absolutely perfect.
@@Gamingpastime64 Yeah, it's kinda hard to come by a copy of Blood Stone these days. I was lucky enough to get Legends and Quantum for PC, but not much luck with Blood Stone. Anyway, looking forward for your review.
I find 007 Legends to be mediocre more than anything else. The concept is great, but the execution is lacking, and as someone who has seen these movies, I can attest they left out a lot of stuff which could have made for fun sequences to play through. For me, my favorite section is Moonraker due to the zero-g combat, which is a lot of fun.
I am glad that Eurocom managed to pack the Wii-U version with the Skyfall DLC missions on-disk. Even if they aren't particularly good, from a game's preservation viewpoint what matters is that because the Wii-U version is complete, the game will always exist in a completed state forever which is something that few games released nowadays will be able to claim in the future.
hopefully you will sort the technical issues with Everything or Nothing soon, watched every video so far and really looking forward to what you say about it, will you be doing the ps1 games too or just ps2/xbox era onwards?
I've read about this on a couple magazine articles and critical reception hasn't exactly been well-received. Being a fan of the movies as well as the games, I decided to try out the game myself. I thought it was okay. I doubt it could've been any better since I assume this was developed on a rather short notice though I would've liked it a bit more if they got rid of the forced stealth sections and QTE boss fights and tweak the vehicle sections to at least make them playable. Is it the worst Bond game? Probably not, since I've played Tomorrow Never Dies and 007 Racing prior to this. Still, it's not exactly my favorite especially compared to Nightfire and Everything or Nothing. Like I said before, I thought it was alright for what it is.
I've never played this one but it seems difficult but the only ones that I've played is the original Goldeneye and Nightfire but didn't complete the whole game I just played individual levels about 10 years ago when I went to kids club
I was a James bond fan in 2010 and the beginning of 2011 and then I eventually wasn't thinking about it anymore when other things took over but since at the end of February last year I was working with my LSA Travis who was a James bond fan and has been one since he was 13 when he is now 37 so from the 28th February last year he turned me back in to a James bond fan and then last eventually didn't look into James bond for at least over 6 months and then from February this year I only just started watching the different longplays on TH-cam all the time
Only if they get rid of the forced stealth segments (make them the same optional stealth as the rest of the game) bots for offline local multiplayer, less bullshit vehicle levels, and a few other things
Oh, I always thought this game was pretty messed up, based on other reviews. Nice to see it's actually quite decent! Can you review a Borderlands game sometime? I've been very into those "looter" games as of lately
never seen a bond movie in you goldeneye 007 reloaded review you said you watched daniel craigs casino royale movie and was the one that got you into the series
I never got to play this but it seems pretty simplistic and isn’t very complimentary to the films. What killed me is that it shoehorns the Craig era into the classic series which are two completely different things. For games that actually try to incorporate the original films with modern gaming you’d have to go back to Rogue Agent and FRWL both by EA. Actually in retrospect Rogue Agent is actually pretty decent and manages to have some things from the 64 namesake while referencing film elements. FRWL suffered from trying to be a game and simultaneously reference the classic original films. Overall Everything or Nothing still probably is the best game to date.
Hate this game all you want for being uninspired. But know that it did the whole "solders in space" thing a whole year before "Call of Duty: Ghosts" did.
I actually enjoyed this game...right up until the forced stealth segment in the license to kill level, at which I just gave up due to the stealth segment being total bullshit I do agree that I like the way the gins look and feel in this game more then the previous 007 game
Since I recently brought a used PS3 for a number of reasons (my PS1 is showing its age, try Killzone, Resistance, and other exclusives I missed as a massive Halo fan, to play some games from this generation that aren’t backwards compatible on One/X), I might give this one a try. I’m a massive fan of the Goldeneye 007 reboot, but the poor reviews of this game turned me off when it launched, though I never saw anything really wrong with it.
I don't understand why this game was so hated. It was mediocre but that doesn't mean the worst thing to ever happen. It was essentially Call of Duty: James Bond Edition just like the previous Goldeneye Reloaded game before it. This game had better gunplay than its predecessor, and if you like collecting 7th gen games, this is a good fun little addition to your collection since it's under $20 these days.
Honestly when I heard about this game at first I thought you would get to not only replay classic bond movies but I assumed you would do each movie as the actor who played bond at the time that each movie was released, I like Daniel Craig as an actor but I’ve had a hard time enjoying him as bond as most of the time he just comes across to me as dull and emotionless
Except that that theory doesn't make any sense as multiple different Bond eras refer back to Bond's dead wife Tracy and both Brosnan and Craig refer to the death of Bond's parents.

One of the two Bond games (the other QoS on PS2) I could not finish because of the bullshit QTEs. I am SOOOO fucking tired of those in these 007 games. This isn't Heavy Rain/Fahrenheit/Beyond 2 Souls.
The thing is tho George's bond film is one of the best and actually gives weight to bond as a character giving him a reason to be a womanizer and his personality change between Sean Connery and Roger Moore.
@@dilby3246 I really enjoyed him in Layer Cake I just find the modern bond films resemble too closely to the Jason Bourne series in terms of tone. My bond is a cocky womanizer with crazy gadgets facing off against larger than life villains and that's the way I likes it. to each their own though
I think call of duty proved to be what killed James Bond games. Quantum of Solace onwards either use the same game engine, or become mediocre copies in gameplay. It was a cool concept but just couldn't stick in a saturated market with a PS2 generic mission based railed game
The melee fighting segments between villains in this game are probably the weirdest and obnoxious combat system I’ve ever seen.
