eh by keeping the goggled cybernetic eyes it kind of defeats the entire purpose of calling this grotsnik because he's a painboy and the model still reads as snikrot since that is literally his most defining feature, also the ammo backpack doesn't really work again more snikrot than grotsnik, really this just looks like snikrot with extrabits on him.
I'd personally have placed the circular saw in place of the 'thumbs' on the powa klaw, to give the impression that the big 'finger' segment was meant to press victims into the blade. Awesome conversion, regardless!
I was thinking that myself, I've been using Vallejo's metal color range and that silver looks like it acts in a similar way but with a thicker consistency.
I have to admit I've noticed your painting style slowly moving from being quite dark and subdued to being a bit more bright and vibrant, and I've got to say I think it's absolutely amazing. Don't stop making cool things!
I think it would be interesting if you did your take on one of the more obscure warbosses in the lore. Warbosses with a ‘sentence or two of background or flavour text in some random Codex’ leave so much room for interpretation and creativity.
The way your videos are setup is perfect, it shows us through the kitbashing experience, and the painting experience which lets us appreciate the final model even more. Great job
Finally, another ork kitbash! Personal I would've recommended the power klaw from the "Ork Warboss with Attack Squig" as it came with a circular saw built in, as well as the mechanical arm bits from the necromunda servitor ogryns, but this was a solid bash. Good video as always!
That's amazing, but his cloth has blood, and it's the only part that it has been placed. Would have had something dribbling from a weapon. Love the paint job dude.

Always love your ork conversions. Been meaning to make a batch of fung-orks for myself after seeing that conversion on your channel a while ago. Do you have any quick recommendations on how to add blast damage to terrain pieces? I'm worried about cutting into mine without a plan.
I'm guessing you're talking about plastic terrain? The easiest way to get pock marks is to drill or dremel shallow holes, add a small amount of putty (greenstuff or milliput) and press it into the hole so it flares out around the edges. This helps to create the surface deformation and you can scratch in more jagged edges too.
Came to your channel after seeing you on The Painting Phase, and absolutely loved this video. As I'm familiar with the hobby, I can recognise a lot of the ideas and techniques you're describing in a a way that would be approachable for a first time viewer, without any confusion at all. Really refreshing to see this. Seriously impressive job, on both your Grotsnik conversion (and stunning paint job), but also your style of content production - I'm immensely looking forward to working my way through your videos! ☺
I love Orks, favorite faction - I know there isn't a lot to go off of but perhaps making 'The Beast' with various Orky bits would be fun? Trying to build the biggest Ork imaginable sounds interesting.

Always inspirational on watching your creativity and skill in creating these kit bashes. Curious, ever thought of making a updated version of the Monstrous "Tyberos" from the Carcharodons, seeing him if transformed into his Primaris form.
That blade-to-pistol swap was the exact opposite of what I did with a primaris plasma pistol arm for my Templar brother kitbash! My mechanical hand now has a big sword.
So I know yellow over black doesn't usually show up all that well but how does it do for pre-shading greens? Also you should consider doing a bit's box conversion where the parts aren't from x kit so much as just the leftovers you've saved from a bunch of previous conversions... gives the excuse to link to a bunch of old videos while showing what you actually do with all of those bit's you saved.
An amazing kitbash. If there is anything to comment on it's only that it needs more gore (especially the buzz saw) and that it would be more in character if you just used have the googles. That way it would look more like cybernetics rather than just goggles. Very impressive!
I'd like to see more Warhammer fantasy stuff like the old Vampire Coast conversions. Maybe continue on that by doing a character - be really interesting to see you do Aranessa Saltspite.

Very cool conversion, no doubt about it. When I get back to my orks I'll probably try to replicate that stitching thing myself. But it doesn't really look much like a doc to me, Grotsnik or otherwise. Admittedly, i'm not sure how that could have been done better. Maybe a proper apron? Use the actual painboy klaw instead of a regular powa klaw... Anyway, still great.
fantastic! the only things i would have done differently is remove the rope entirely and paint the different patches of skin with slightly different greens - so it looks like he swiped them arms from some other ork.
Very incredible, although I am sad to see the super long klaw go, I always loved that design. Also, the stitching on the arms implies they were stolen from other orks, and personally I’d paint them slight variants of ork skin green to help sell that, but that’s just me. Very good as always, incredible talent on display in all aspects!
i love the orks bc it allows so much kitbash very easily. It is not so hard to have an army with all the models different in contrary with other factions
pretty snazzy conversion, and nice highlighting on the metallics. and the backpack looks so damn good, I still struggle with larger leather surfaces sometimes...

With the coming off the new beastmen kill team, I’d love to see some Chaos Space Marines conversions done with a beastmen theme. Maybe possessed + Minotaur design?
A part of me wanted to create Ghoritch, or at least a version that looks like him, using the Daemon Prince kit. I also want to make a Burrowing Behemoth by using the Megaboss on a Maw-krusha kit, a Great Unclean one that is thinner instead of being bloated using the Daemon Prince kit (again, but only the head) and a kit that gives the dead but still alive kind of vibes, an Orruk Warclans version of the Orc Boar Chariots, and many other things like units both from Fantasy and Total War and kitbashes as well as new ones.
Could you do a video on how to properly do Orks with looted bits? I have some but the loot looks like its just slapped on, I could use some help with how to "blend" the two kits properly.
It would be amazing if you made some Kit bashed Ork Kommandos, I'm currently kit bashing my own with a weird theme of upgraded kommando's with shields, weirdboys, mek boys and painboys, to make it a squad that could handle anything behind enemy lines but I would be very interested in seeing how you would accomplish a odd Kitbash of some Kommandos that you believe would be able to handle anything behind enemy lines since they only have one box of 10 so far but can have 15 models in the unit, and have 7 special weapons you can equip all at once if you have enough models in the squad like the breacha ram, and the shok attack pistol. About to finish the first of 2 squads myself so I would love to see how you take the idea in another direction.
Also forgot to mention, loved the video I'm definitely gonna take some ideas from this for my next Kommando squad for their Painboy, can't wait to see more Kitbashed Orks in the future
I've used recently Nobz and Boyz bodies with IG heavy weapons to make Flash Gitz and Lootas, it was really enjoyable, that would be my suggestion for you to try. Flash Gitz/ Lootas with other races larger weapons/weapons platforms as their Snazz Gunz or Deff Gunz.

I don't know why but I initially mixed up Snikrot and Makari in my head and was absolutely baffled as to how you were going to pull this off.

The best use of the new snikrot sculpt for sure.
Only thing I would say for future builds keep in mind clan colors. Mad doc is a death skull ork and he would have some blue splashed in there.

Idk if anyone else has requested this or if you received the new farsight kit, but if you did, you should make a khorne corrupted farsight conversion!
