BeeGees are a once in a lifetime group.........their songs go way back to the early 60's. You are going to be reacting to many of their songs. I'll let others comment which ones. Enjoy!!!
This song, is my wife's and my "OUR SONG" we had gotten back together after a 6 month breakup. The night we reunited we made out in the pouring rain, and this song was on the radio.we have been together for 47 years and married for 40 years. Thank you for your reaction.
You asked, "Why don't people sing like that any more?" I've been asking that same question for 40 years. Makes my heart happy to see young people like you find the great old music I grew up with and appreciate it. Welcome to the old days and what beautifully written and sung music was!
Shiloh was FEELING that song just the way it was meant to be experienced. They have so many stunningly great songs that were the perfect blend of harmonies, brilliant compositions, and vibes that put a smile on the face. Lot of great memories from back in the day with this group.
I am 56 Yars old this was the music that was played in my Jr High and High School Dances and the Skating rinks. The Bee Gees had the best ever Harmonies,
Also listen to 'Staying Alive' and 'Too Much Heaven.' They wrote all of their music, and for others. The man in the middle, Barry is the only surviving brother. He is now 74 years old. He has been married for 50 years. He and his wife have 5 adult children, and 8 grandchildren. The fraternal twins were Robin and Maurice (pronounced Morris) have passed away. Maurice in 2003. Robin in 2012. There was a younger brother, Andy who had his own successful career, although very short. He passed away in 1988 at the age of 30. I love this group.
I was listening to the Bee gees when I was a kid in the 60s. I never knew who the Bee Gees were until the 70s. In the 60s you would hear lots of songs on the radio but the announcer didn't always announce what was playing or you would miss it. So back then you would hear lots of music but never knew who the artist was until later. This was long before the internet where you can look up stuff. The best we had then was a book. Or you could buy the Top 40 Magazine called Hit Parade, but that cost money. The average young kid in the 60s was lucky to have a dime in his pocket. And a dime would buy 2 candy bars. Our school lunch cost 30 cents and that would include meat, 2 veg. milk and desert. The same lunch today would probably be $7-$10.
If this gave you chills, Too Much Heaven will blow you away. It's even more romantic and full of unbelievable harmonies. And the best falsetto you'll ever hear!
I was a shy white guy joining the Navy in 1971 at 17. Black guys taught me how to dance thru the Vietnam War, 4 years. Out in 1975 when Staying Alive was rather important. Walked right into the Disco Days prepared. Tore up the dance floor and the party never ended. Remember folks, when you think your cool, your parents were cooler.......lol. Blue eyed Soul. We loved our Women, and they knew it !!!!!
im 53 this was what i grew up to and this wasnt the last song at our school windup ball this was the first song we danced too . and why doesnt anyone sing like that simple not many have the dedication the BeeGees had they we not just singers they were writers they wrote far more songs then they sung and for very well known artists and these days they have procures who make them sound like what ever their pushing for a quick sale the BeeGees made music created harmony passion and heart , that simlpy doesnt exist anymore
This is one of my favorite love songs. I'm so excited seeing this reaction! More Bee Gee's please :) :) :) "Staying Alive" "too much heaven" "Emotion" "Jive Talkin" all great songs!!! You won't regret
The Bee Gees wrote all their own hits and wrote for other singers like Barbara Streisand, Dionne Warwick, Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers to name just a few. They were prominent performers in the 70's and wrote and sang the soundtrack to the John Travolta film Saturday Night Fever. They wrote and sang so many good songs its hard to choose but TOO MUCH HEAVEN is a great song to react to next
Look, I´m spanish boy born in the 83 that i´m im love with this melody since my parents tunned to me when I was maybe 5 years old. For me, this is a perfect melody inside in a perfect harmony, love it As a shy guy, I would not take you to the dance floor cause I´m kind of stupid, but you deserve to be the Queen of the night (sorry for my English). BTW, I love your videos
I can't tell you HOW many times I've heard people say, "Why don't people sing like this anymore??" again and again and again. But it's true though. For whatever the reason(s), whether it's singing or band quality, unfortunately the vast majority of stuff out there nowadays just sucks vs. rock's/pop's/soul's heyday. Wish it weren't true, but it largely is, IMO.
Most of the songs today are just immature compared to the songs of yester year. The Bee Gees, and other groups, put their souls into the music. Today, when artist cant sing, they use a lot of electronics and gimmics.
Artists put the work in back in the day. From songwriting to rehearsals to putting their hearts and souls into their craft. Very few dedicated or disciplined enough to work this hard anymore.
Bee Gees equals Love Songs. Even though they were very popular before Saturday Night Fever, it is a must see as it was the highest level of their popularity.
The Gibb brothers had already been singing harmonies together for 20 years by the time they recorded this song. All that work made for vocals that just seemed effortless...
The Bee Gees and Andy Gibb were ALL brothers and of the few, if only, who embraced funk, soul and R&B and we're successful for it. So, no matter a person's skin color, you've got to appreciate their mark on the World and no matter the listeners of their music, their music goes past color. Exhibit A.
Thank you Shiloh, for reacting to this Mom 'n' Pop special! The Bee Gees are amazing artists and the three brothers harmonized together perfectly! Too Much Heaven, Holiday, Words, To Love Somebody, I Gotta Get A Message To You, I Started A Joke, and that is just for starters!!
That’s baby making music right there! I was born in ‘77 with a sister following in ‘79. My parents had this on repeat in our house! 😂 It’s fire all these years later 🔥
You missed out on an era when singers actually sing.... I remember this from when I was a kid. You need to review more of the Bee Gees. So many hits. Your face said it all... Great review...
This is something we slowdanced to when I was in 7 and 8th grade. Those life changing first dances. Lol. Bless you for bringing back those awkward memories.
Good music doesn't need much, good voices, good vibes and passion to bring a special feeling to the audience. The Bee Gees had so many good songs and started almost a new era of music. I've you react to other songs of the Bee Gees you will know what i mean.
One of the most beautiful songs ever written, by one of the best groups to have ever lived. Listening to the bee gees takes me back to an amazing time. ❤️❤️❤️
There is a video: BARRY GIBB, FROM THE BEE GEES (AGING 1958 - 2020) OMG (a zillion times) it's one of those flip-to-flip of his face from 10 yrs to 74 yrs old. I know what the 'last song of the night' is. I did that a lot of that at college parties. I am 66 yrs old, and that's what we did. Too Much Heaven is a good wedding song. ALSO, the video clip: Barry Gibb/The last Bee Gee/Sunday Night. He has short gray hair, and the white letters SN are in the lower left-hand corner. Very touching. He shares how he is moving on without his brothers. 😥
Omg! Ok get ready to be shocked, appalled, and incredibly impressed. Start with Too much Heaven, then go to Stayin Alive, then finish with You Should Be Dancin. The tall pretty one is Barry Gibb. The others are his brothers Maurice and Robin. Barry is the one with that unbelievable falsetto (high register.) Just brace yourself!
Im so happy to see a young person could appreciate the quality of an old skool ballad. When she said it made her feel like she wanted to slow dance is when I knew she got it.
Hi Shiloh, Welcome to the Bee Gees "rabbit-hole." When you decide to react to another song of theirs, please check out the official video to the song "Too Much Heaven" you'll be glad you did!!!
I love the fact that so many are doing reactions on the BeeGees....💕 They will always be one of a kind!! Such a beautiful and talented group !! I love em!!! Thanks for playing them!!💕💕
One song of theirs you've probably heard and not known it is "Stayin' Alive". The bass line on it is catchy. In addition to the three that were part of this group, Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb, they also had a younger brother, Andy, who did later perform with them on occasion, but mainly had a solo career.
Too much Heaven next for you! Love your reaction. A romantic time where singing wasn't strained but was still powerful. Smooth and classy. Forever Bee Gees!
Shiloh, if you haven’t seen the movie Saturday Night Fever, you’re in for a treat! This one and many other legendary songs are from that soundtrack. One of the greatest of all time!
Awww your a girl after my own heart. I love it brought you to tears. That touched my heart. The beegees were huge when I was born so it’s not my era but I grew up listening to this stuff and basically all kinds of music and I am a musician myself and a music lover. I would like to answer your question about why music isn’t like that anymore and it’s really not a simple answer but mainly it has a lot to do with the actual equipment that was used back then being analog instead of digital. Although digital is far superior in reliability and user friendliness, there is a warmth that is missing. It’s very subtle but undeniable. Also there’s the point of the artist’s beliefs and the social environment of the times. Art imitates life and vice versa. At the end of the day it was the fact that record companies controlled what was released and it was essentially what they thought would make the most money. It all swirled around in the big stew of life and voila! At least we can still listen to it. Anyway about the dance thing I mostly remember the girls on one side and the boys on the other so don’t feel like you missed too much. Keep listening
Because they have had so many hits, and many, many more hit songs have been written by them for other artists, it is impossible for you to have never heard a Bee Gees song(s). How Deep Is Your Love may be the first one you have heard sung by them, but it is not the first one you have heard.
Gorgeous music & the best reaction! Nice to see another real woman melting & a bit speechless. Wow, beautiful to watch your reaction. "Why does it sound that good?" A different era's, with a different soul. You would have loved 70's & 80's dance scene. Sorry you missed it, would have loved a dance with you. The 70's and 80's musically were 'heaven on a stick'. Thank you Shiloh. Cheers from Sydney.
Easily one of the most beautiful songs ever made. Was on the Billboard Top Ten for over four months a staggering achievement. If this song doesn't move you, check your pulse because you may be dead already
You are just too cute. I love watching your reactions. You just stepped up to two of the most top notch groups ever in Bed Gees and Nirvana. I'm not sure it's possible to be any more different but in my mind both are the absolute best in theur genre's. The Bee Gees are unbelievable. This is my favorite song but really all of their hits are the same level abd just a matter of taste. My suggestion is check out Too Much Heaven next and then just enjoy all of their work. They always sound that good. In my mind Barry Gibbs vocals are untouchable. He always amazes. Their most famous hit us Staying Alive, the anthem to the movie Saturday Night Fever abd really the anthem of disco music in general. it's a different style of song for them but their mastery in everything they do is always perfect. Did I mention you are absolutely positively adorable?
Baby girl, they really are that good, and that was a good choice, but you need to expand out huge, these guys will rock your world. Too much Heaven, You should be dancing, Night Fever, Nights on Broadway, there are literally hundreds, they wrote and sang their own material, and for tons of other artists also
I was in kindergarten when this hit #1, and it sounds just as good now as it did the first time I heard it. After this hit #1 in December 1977, they were about to reach an all-time high in 1978 & 1979. No one could touch them on the charts. They were a true phenomenon.
The BeeGees are unmatched!! Barry, the lead singer, has written over 1,000 songs, many for other artists as well. So many awards, gold and platinum records!! Their career spanned over 4 decades, and just like the song you listened to, their music is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! Their style also changed with the times. Definitely check out their 1987 hit " You Win Again", and their epic 1993 song " For Whom the Bell Tolls". You will LOVE THEM!! 😇💗😇
The Bee Gees have some of the best harmonies ever. Also a very deep rabbit hole all the way back to the 60's.
Definitely, I was going to say basically the same thing well put.
From the 60’s to Barry Gibb’s latest album “Greenfields” which is a bunch of BeeGee hits done as duets with other great singers.
As only brothers can. Only harmonies comparable imo were the Everly Bros
@@petertopley8352 as far as a three part Harmony, but there are alot of bands that have amazing harmonies. But I definitely agree with your statement.
The first song was in 1959 when they were still kids
Bee Gees - To Much Heaven. Incredible song!
Absolutely!
Agree
One of the best song ever made for me it’s literally pure perfection 🥰👌
Fanny, be tender with my love is classic too
You got that dude!!👍
BeeGees are a once in a lifetime group.........their songs go way back to the early 60's. You are going to be reacting to many of their songs. I'll let others comment which ones. Enjoy!!!
The Bee Gees were practically at The Beatles status in the late 70's. Their chart run was amazing at that time.
I'm so happy that I was a teenager in the 1970's.
YES INDEED!! 💕💕
I wasn't a teenager. I was 9 years old when this came out. But I remember it because my mom wore it out! LOL!
Me too my friend. Me too!
lucky siodiaoso
I’m so happy I was a kid in the magic 80’s and a teenager in the rebellious 90’s! 😄
This song, is my wife's and my "OUR SONG" we had gotten back together after a 6 month breakup. The night we reunited we made out in the pouring rain, and this song was on the radio.we have been together for 47 years and married for 40 years. Thank you for your reaction.
Aw..
dude i cried :(
God bless you and your wife
Beautiful love story. Thanks for sharing!🙂
I was gonna like the comment, but I see it’s at 47 and I feel it’s symbolic😭
You have to watch the Been Gees perform 1. How Do You Mend a Broken Heart and 2. To Love Somebody
You asked, "Why don't people sing like that any more?"
I've been asking that same question for 40 years. Makes my heart happy to see young people like you find the great old music I grew up with and appreciate it. Welcome to the old days and what beautifully written and sung music was!
Excellent points 👉
Shiloh was FEELING that song just the way it was meant to be experienced. They have so many stunningly great songs that were the perfect blend of harmonies, brilliant compositions, and vibes that put a smile on the face. Lot of great memories from back in the day with this group.
They dont need no fancy tech back then to make their voice sound great, this is their real voice!
"Too much heaven" by the Bee Gees is a must!...it is the closest to perfection as a song could get.
I am 56 Yars old this was the music that was played in my Jr High and High School Dances and the Skating rinks. The Bee Gees had the best ever Harmonies,
The skating rinks were the best! I learned to backwards skate with this song!!
This song is the first of 6 #1's in a row for the Bee Gees in the second half of the seventies making them the kings of disco.

Too much heaven is a Bee Gee's must!!!
There are tons of fantastic Bee Gees hits from 60’s to 80’s. A rabbit hole worth going down. 😁
Amazing how a 43 year old song still stands the test of time. High quality arrangement.
If this gave you chills, Too Much Heaven will blow you away. It's even more romantic and full of unbelievable harmonies. And the best falsetto you'll ever hear!
,"Too much heaven" is even better. You will love it.
No auto tune perfect harmonies...Bee Gees = Brothers Gibb and yes they are all brothers.
I was a shy white guy joining the Navy in 1971 at 17. Black guys taught me how to dance thru the Vietnam War, 4 years. Out in 1975 when Staying Alive was rather important. Awww, I love hearing a young lady like you say you like this song!! I think some pieces of music are actually timeless!
This is one of my favorite love songs. I'm so excited seeing this reaction! More Bee Gee's please :) :) :)
"Staying Alive" "too much heaven" "Emotion" "Jive Talkin" all great songs!!! You won't regret
There’s only one Bee Gee with us still and that is Barry. I love their voices 💜
This is a song of intricate beauty. Music doesn't get old...people do. No rap, samples , or auto tune b.s...pure talent and real musicians.
All 4 brothers sung extremely well! Total class! Sadly one is alive , the rest are with the Lord. 🙏🏽🎵♥️

The 70s music and nite clubs with all nite dancing were the best days of my life
When I here songs like the bee gees ,, it brings tears,,,
I can't tell you HOW many times I've heard people say, "Why don't people sing like this anymore??" again and again and again. But it's true though. Was never a disco fan but mad respect for this group for their massive stamp on the era
The Gibb brothers had already been singing harmonies together for 20 years by the time they recorded this song. All that work made for vocals that just seemed effortless...
"Why is the content not like this?" is really the nail on the head. That it brought you to the brink of tears says it all.

So, no matter a person's skin color, you've got to appreciate their mark on the World and no matter the listeners of their music, their music goes past color. Exhibit A.
Formed around 1958, the Gibbs brothers had a life long career. They wrote all the music for themselves as well as others.
Gibb brothers, not Gibbs.
Played this at my first dance and I was dancing with my first crush. She loved the BEE GEES, and probably still does:)
I started a Joke was one of the best ever!
That’s baby making music right there! I was born in ‘77 with a sister following in ‘79. My parents had this on repeat in our house! 😂 It’s fire all these years later 🔥
Watching you watch "How Deep is Your Love" did me a world of good.
70’s, 80’s and the 90’s best time to be alive for these timeless classics 🎶🤩😉
You missed out on an era when singers actually sing.... I remember this from when I was a kid. You need to review more of the Bee Gees. So many hits. Your face said it all... Great review...
"This is Mom and Pop Music!" Classic accurate quote. Enjoyed the video and song!
“Mom-n-Pop” music. Lol loved it.
Mom-n-pop baby making music 😂
Yeh, that made me feel old, I was a teen when this was in the charts! :)
@@martintabony611 Me too. Best time to be a teen.
This is something we slowdanced to when I was in 7 and 8th grade. Those life changing first dances. Lol. Bless you for bringing back those awkward memories.
Ohhh .... I am strapping myself to see you react to "Too Much Heaven".
This has been the cutest reaction to this song by far
I think a revolution is coming. The new generation appreciating the old folk music. Because its way better!!!!😀😀
Good music doesn't need much, good voices, good vibes and passion to bring a special feeling to the audience.
The Bee Gees had so many good songs and started almost a new era of music.
I've you react to other songs of the Bee Gees you will know what i mean.
Yes you are right no one sings like that anymore. That's singing with your soul.
I love seeing the younger generation reconnecting with the music of Gen X.
And late baby boomers
One of the most beautiful songs ever written, by one of the best groups to have ever lived. Listening to the bee gees takes me back to an amazing time. ❤️❤️❤️
Stayin’ Alive and Too Much Heaven are two more you need to hear 😁
There is a video: BARRY GIBB, FROM THE BEE GEES (AGING 1958 - 2020)
OMG (a zillion times) it's one of those flip-to-flip of his face from 10 yrs to 74 yrs old.
This is slow dance music indeed...for me, it goes back to eighth grade dances in the late seventies.
I was thinking the exact same thing and the same grade!
Me too magical time.
Very few things as cool as the Bee Gees in the 70's!!!!
Sheer beauty is this everlasting classic song!
Welcome to my Era.
Welcome to the Bee Gee's.
You are welcome to explore further.
Your reaction to these songs by the Bee Gees -> reaching out, I surrender, love so right, love you inside out, jive talking, tragedy! 😎
Im so happy to see a young person could appreciate the quality of an old skool ballad. When she said it made her feel like she wanted to slow dance is when I knew she got it.
Right...that's it!!! Officially..best band ever.....ever
"Couples Skate" music. Loved the Bee Gees.
And backward skaters
Some more Bee Gees classics: 1) Love you inside and out, 2) Love So Right, 3) Fanny be Tender, 4) Run to Me, 5) More than a woman
Please do Too Much Heaven official video also. A Classic!
Simply one of the all-time greatest vocal groups. The Brothers Gibb. RIP Maurice, Robin (and Andy too).
Hi Shiloh, Welcome to the Bee Gees "rabbit-hole." When you decide to react to another song of theirs, please check out the official video to the song "Too Much Heaven" you'll be glad you did!!!
I could see you imagining yourself dancing in the arms of the one you love. You really got this song. Beautiful reaction, thank you.
The music and your reactions are wonderful--seeing you makes it even nicer 🎈
I love this reaction. The Bee Gees exploded unto the Disco era back in the 70s (my era), some of the best harmonies, amazing!
Pure talent...they don't make 'em like that anymore ❣️
I love the fact that so many are doing reactions on the BeeGees....💕 They will always be one of a kind!! Such a beautiful and talented group !! I love em!!! Thanks for playing them!!💕💕
Highly recommend "Too Much Heaven" by the Bee Gees.
Yes! The Bee Gees were fantastic. Have always loved their music. Try Words by them. Glad you enjoyed this. 🌹
4:59 That's the moment when you realized your parents were much cooler than you.
Arguably the greatest songwriters of the 70's and 80's. This is a bit of a rabbit hole, but one your ears and soul will thank you for going down.
Forever Bee Gees!
oh if you love this one they did a song with a lady called Samantha Sang named "Emotions" it's absolutely lovely
Love your reactions! When you smile the world lights up around you!
Shiloh, if you haven’t seen the movie Saturday Night Fever, you’re in for a treat! This one and many other legendary songs are from that soundtrack. One of the greatest of all time!

yay, Bee Gees...... Stayin' Alive is my favorite
Because they have had so many hits, and many, many more hit songs have been written by them for other artists, it is impossible for you to have never heard a Bee Gees song(s). How Deep Is Your Love may be the first one you have heard sung by them, but it is not the first one you have heard.
The Bee Gees “Love you inside and out” or “guilty” 🙏🏻
Gorgeous music & the best reaction! Nice to see another real woman melting & a bit speechless. Wow, beautiful to watch your reaction. "Why does it sound that good?" Too much heaven. A must reaction.
Easily one of the most beautiful songs ever made. Was on the Billboard Top Ten for over four months a staggering achievement. If this song doesn't move you, check your pulse because you may be dead already

Shows that they can kill it live just as well as in the studio.

I was in kindergarten when this hit #1, and it sounds just as good now as it did the first time I heard it. After this hit #1 in December 1977, they were about to reach an all-time high in 1978 & 1979. No one could touch them on the charts. They were a true phenomenon.
Such a wonderful group. And such a beautiful song.
"you can tell by the way I walk I'm a ladies man no time to talk" STAYIN' ALIVE , come on Shiloh ;)
Definitely check out their 1987 hit " You Win Again", and their epic 1993 song
" For Whom the Bell Tolls".
You will LOVE THEM!!
😇💗😇
Barry's latest album "Greenfields" just went #1 in the UK and Australia ❤️
Now you need to react to the Bee Gees 'To Much Heaven
Your analysis of this song is exactly right! It was definitely the last song at the dance club.
Yes, "Saturday night Fever" had alot of number 1 hits, it's a shame they were labeled Disco when they are heads above alot of Bands.
I love how you turn your head to the side and open your beautiful eyes wide when you love what your listening too your the best Shiloh
