    I like your content. However, girl from one phlebotomist to another now you know you knew better than to throw that blood on top of those other clean supplies, and it was a contact patient too. Cross contamination is easy to do. Be careful girl!

    • @Thelexisjanae
      @Thelexisjanae  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +16

      Hey love from one phlebotomist to another phlebotomist. If you knew better you would know that I don’t cross contaminate anything. The blood is in the VILE if that’s the case everything is cross contaminated. If the test isn’t messed up in the lab and the results are accurate then no cross contamination occurred. Thanks for the view have a blessed one ❤

    Love your content! I’m an older senior in great and I’m in phlebotomy classes! Imagine that! You are very inspiring, I needed the part about giving yourself pep talks, feeling a little overwhelmed! I hope I can be half as effective as you! You make it look so simple! I will go back and watch all your videos! Congrats on your new Radiology career!

    for heel sticks my technique is to swaddle the baby and have a parent hold them if possible. i warm the foot up as much as I can, and I really press the heel stick device very firm against their foot. Almost as hard as you can tbh. I also find the squeezing of the foot can make them unhappy so making sure the initial poke is a good one that keeps the blood flowing is ideal. My babies almost never cried GURANTEED with my technique

    I just got a position at my local children’s hospital as a phleb. i’m so nervous but excited. most worried about the fact that i have little to no experience with kids even family 😅 i love kids so much though. Any tips for distracting them or how to act with them? I can see when someone is a natural with kids but due to my lack of experience im not comfortable with the baby talk since i don’t really know what to say. sometimes i try and it’s awkward with me and the kid. I haven’t drawn any kids older than an infant or younger than 16. any tips??
