Even if you don’t have junk mail with color, just use your marker to color the back of the envelope and ct away! Or stamp flowers or other objects and cut them out! Thanks , Connie, for a fabulous tip!
Hi Connie, I’ve known how to do that for years, but like many other techniques, I just put it on the back burner thinking that I would use it but hadn’t gotten back to it. Thanks for jogging my memory
Great idea! I have even used paper plates, tissue boxes and more to do this type of flower. Though those flowers aren’t as fluffy and are more mailable I think. Never thought of junk mail though. Thanks!
Love it! I’m Thinking little ones like the one you made in the video and putting a magnet on the back for a friend to put in the frig as a reminder they are amazing or that I am praying for them.
I've been using "junk mail" to get really cool cards for 2 years now. First time I've seen a video about it!! I LOVE repurposing my junk mail...talk about getting creative!! Love your ideas!! Thanks so much!!
You were right I do love your tips for today I would have never thought about using junk mail to make a card. Thanks again for sharing your great and wonderful idea's
I never thought of using the photograph parts! I'm attached to the junk mail envelope interiors right now, with patterns and color. Maybe even combine them with the picture parts. I may not have to buy designer paper again! I might have to go through my old HGTV and Country Sampler magazines with a new set of eyes, now. Thank you!! Haha, I'm addicted to that, too.💁♀️
I make flowers very similar to how you make yours except I’ve been using DSP and wetting the pieces after cutting them out then crumbling them up. When almost dry, I finish drying with my heat tool and it makes them very stiff. Then I put them on a Brad. Never even gave junk mail a thought, such a great idea. Gonna definitely try this!! TFS!!
What a creative idea and a pretty flower. It’s great to see a Frontgate catalog. I used to work for them as my part-time second job many years ago. They have some great items. Very pretty cards! Thanks for sharing.
You are totally amazing! Now I know what to do with my catalogs. If you figure out what I can do with all that mail I get from the “Berger’s”....charities by the pound. Thanks for a great vid!
Great tip Connie. I use thicker pieces of Unendorsed Bulk Business Mail (UBBM-which is junk mail) on cards - it can make many things more sturdy for mailing. Also great to use in the 3D things we make when we run out of the DSP heavyweight inserts. I will definitely watch for colors to create flowers now. Thanks for the tip!
Very cute... Great idea...... I have a picture of a big Daisy that I want to cut into rectangles and layer so design lines up on all layers.... Not sure what the term for this is, but so pretty
@@simplysimplestamping I reread my comment and I stated it wrong... I can't find the term but it's like double matting a picture except the outer mat is the outer edge of picture.... Sorry if I don't explain it
well, just perfect! I JUST received my mail and guess what I got????? 😀 yes junk mail, so you know what I' going to be doing!! Thank you for the video and your cards are beautiful! Have a happy day!
Yay, for junk mail! I always just put mine in the recycling bin, but now I will use what I need before I do recycle it off. This is great for students too. I also think these flowers would be great to decorate paper clips or magnets etc. Thank you for sharing! I need the daisy punch!!!
This will be a great way to use all the flower catalogs that come out this time of year!!
