The woods are beautiful this time of year and you managed to find a particularly loverly spot. It looked like no one had been there before except for the local wildlife. Thurughly enjoyed that Sandy thank you for sharing.
Thanks for sharing this Sandy. Very sorry to hear about Mandy; I hope she recovers well. My partner had a similar period of recovery from an operation and I quickly realized, during my take over of all the family duties, how little we had all been doing to make her life a little easier day to day. The Bushcraft show will always be coming around again Sandy. Good luck with everything and keep the vids coming when you can.. ATB Noel
Hi Sandy, Good to see you back out in the woods again, I must say how fresh and green they looked, wonderful. Always look forward to your video's my friend as they are always so informative and I almost get the feeling of actually being there. Please give my warm regards to Mandy and I wish her well. Sadly I am unable to go to the bushcraft show because as you know my finances and comitments will not allow. Its such a shame as I would love to meet and spend some time with you and the other guys I talk to through TH-cam. Hope you have a good time up there. All the best my friend Simon
Nice video Sandy, you know all carers need some respite from time to time, it's good you have someone to stand in for you when you need a bit of time for yourself. All the best to you and your family. Cheers, Denis
Fantastic chorus, would love to have a camp with you Sandy.Just starting out and learning bit bye bit, with your videos. You have taught me soo much.Keep up the good work,,,,,Mark :)
Hi Sandy. It so relaxing to see you hammock in the woods. Glad your son is helping Mandy while you have time out. I'm learning all the time, watching your fire making skills. Nice brass tinder box too! Now I want to go on a similar wild camp. Can't wait to try recording the dawn chorus with my Zoom Recorder! Great recording. Man, it's loud!!! The woodland appreciates your visit, leaving no trace. Peace, Ken
First things first, mate... I wish your wife gets better quick! Real nice of you to be helping around as needed... that's what good husbands should do! You made a smashing camp and them bangers got me wanting to cook some in my next outing)) found it interesting that though I'm on the other side of Europe we still get the same birds chirping in the morning... nature's radio is something to wake up to, innit?) Really enjoyed this video as I enjoy all of your videos, mate... thanks for taking us along! One more thing, that dog of yours is a charm, mate. Real well behaved and I suppose excellent company too! All in all, awesome video, Sandy))
What can I say except for great. Strangely I've onle discoved the beautiful aroma of bluebells this year and that's a good enough reason to avoid stepping on them which is something ive just learned. Thanks for sharing Sandy ATB Ron.
Another great vid, great tip from Steve regarding the trangia, and even better heads up about the blue bells... Thanks again for sharing . Take care ..
Great stuff mate, really enjoyed watching your night out. Hope all gets better on the home front soon and hope to catch you at the bushcraft show again! Rich.
The woodlands really are revitalizing to the soul aren't they? Glad to see you recorded the morning chorus. Would be nice to have it as a morning ritual :). Good to hear Mandy is doing well. Such a relaxing video, thanks for sharing it with us. Louise :)
Oh, your using that music now, there's about three others here on TH-cam! The English countryside looks fantastic in spring, especially on a sunny day, "this green and pleasant land", lush and green and pleasnat. Best wishes to you and your wife and thanks Sandy.
Very enjoyable vid Sandy, love the natural firelighting and the pot hanger, things im gonna try and do myself with Jr this year, hope your wife gets better soon too, take care. Atb Stevie & Jr
Hi Sandy, Thanks for all the videos! You have been an inspiration to me. I'll be heading out in a few hours with my adult son for a few more days in the woods. We had our first camp in years last week. I hope to film the escapades and post my first video. Best wishes to your wife and her recovery! Thanks again, John (Pennsylvania U.S.A.)

Another great video Sandy. Very much enjoyed the dawn chorus, I could pick out quite a few different birds, excellent mic you have there. Love and best wishes to Mandy, hope all goes well this week. See you at the BCS mate. ATB Shaun
Hi Sandy. Great video, as always. I'm glad you were able to get out for a bit to "recharge the batteries." I hope all is well with you and your wife, and that she is back up and about soon. Have a wonderful day. Joe.
One of those birds was impersonating a cow! I did not trust that stick set up you balanced the billy can off. I was expecting it to topple into the flames at every moment. Yet another very relaxing video. Thanks.
Beautiful dawn chorus Sandy, you captured it very well. Such a chilled video I had to watch it twice as I dozed off first time lol. I hope Mandy is on the mend, give her my best wishes. See you on the weekend. Mark

Real nice Vid again Sandy, setting the Hammock in such a beautiful environment like this must bring peace into mind,by the way i would remove the rubberseal bevor using the lid as burner stand,i wish you and your wife all the best, keep calm and carry on ;-) Falko
Nice video as usual Sandy, was out myself for my first hammock camp in some woods near me a couple of weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. I have the Olympus LS100 sound recorder and hope to do the same thing soon. Regards, Steve G6JEF
i always get excited when one of your vids pops up in my my sub feed - my thoughts are with mandy at this time mate - hope shes not in any pain. i just loved the way elsa jumped on you in the hammock - classic :))) cant wait to find a nice quiet spot in the bcs for some hammock chill time. great chorus sounds too, well done sandy
Regards to you , your wife and family. Hope you got maximum benefit from your brief downtime. Your situation demands you get maximum recharge from any you can grab. All the best . Good points on the Bluebells. I remember, as a kid, seeing dense carpets of them everywhere i went in the woods. Now they need 'defending' ... Bit of a shame.
Idyllic Sandy. As Roach says, makes you want to be there. The dawn chorus recording was a success and it was especially nice to hear the cuckoo. I've not heard one around here for about five years. The morning tinder was damp, wasn't it? But you prevailed through lots of puffing! Great stuff all round. See you soon, Noel
Hi Noel, Correct. This woodland is a damp place but a beautiful place. The tinder was so wet I doubted it would work but in the end it worked. I have heard the Cuckoo every year without fail but only because I go camping. I bet there are hords of folk who have never heard one. Will PM you regarding wednesday. Thanks Sandy
Hi Sandy, Steve has since updated the Nano stove since you made this video, he now has 2 little wire supports that go across 2 corners to bring the Trangia up to the same hight as what the lid has done, you can modify this yourself with 2 short bits of thin welding rod, just a suggestion. atb Ray
A lovely video. Enjoyed being along with you. Nice bushcrafting and cooking. Enjoyed seeing Elsa, too, as always! Question: what are those plastic tubes around the tree trunks for?

Another great video Sandy,I hope Mandy gets sorted soon,my wife is having an operation next week,so knives and stoves will be taking some time off as I will be doing all the things that she normally does as well as going to work.I think I will probably lose a bit of weight as well. One thing you could suggest to Mandy is while she is sitting there, she could get a bit of wet and dry and hand finish your blades for you (ha ha ) only joking. What I did notice in your video Sandy is you have the floppy zebra handle problem whilst it is on the stove. You have probably seen the mods that people do by replacing the handle with wire, but what I do,and my secret is now out,is to cut off one of the handle rivets and replace it with a pop rivet, that way the handle stays where you want it. All the best to you both Colin
