The Tree of Life is my favorite off the album. I think you’d enjoy that one a lot. It has a In Hearts Wake vibe to it and there’s a pan flute breakdown lol

The scream vocalist, Joseph, is a really cool dude. I've talked to him a few times and he's a really cool and talented dude
I play games with Tyler(singer), Paul(drummer), and Thomas(bassist) quite a bit, all of the guys are super down to earth, Joe has helped me with my screams a couple times.
"The Relics Of Nihlux" or "Blackroot Forest" would be the best songs to be a first impression. Songs with clean vocal are the perfect songs in this band.
Lol man during the whole first song I was like, “he picked possibly the worst song for a first impression.” This band is all about their clean singing, and firefall was like the one song on the album without cleans. They’re a great band with a ton of great choruses.

I wouldn't say it's all about the cleans, but they do have a big part in their music, yes. They have that one "heavier" song on each of their 3 albums.
yeah unfortunately thats so common that people recommend either bands heaviest song or some one off song that tried different from the og sound
Ship For Hopeless you get what I mean though, listening to them for the first time and not hearing their singing makes you severely miss out on who they are as a band. I think we can all agree they are extremely underrated!

So glad to see TWMF on this channel, I have been following them since the beginning and love seeing people hear them for the first time.
Always dug these guys when I stumbled across them. One of my favorite tracks is Wrath of a Gentle Man.
Great band 👍 firefall heaviest song on the album
Enjoyed this album a fair bit, favourites being The River and The Rook, and Breath of the Wild. Would like to mention that the rhythm guitarist (who does backing vocals in some Wise Man songs) and the drummer have their own group Whale Bones, which is a fair bit of a genre shift into a mix of indie, alt, post-hardcore and emo, but I think their tracks are awesome. They did a feature with Bilmuri on his latest EP Muri and Friends for the track "everything i wanted", which I would wholly recommend checking out as the dude has some phenomenal vocals! Not sure it quite fits the vibe of the kind of tracks you typically do on here though, so may just be worth listening to in your own time haha. Great vid as always!

Wise Man's Fear is a band where one of the biggest selling points is their clean vocalist and their really catchy choruses. Sort of like ADTR but with way better instrumentation in my opinion, but similar style band.
I'm so happy that they get the attention they deserve! Awesome band :)

Dude! You should check out the song “Cataclysm” off their second album “The Lost City”. Their name is the same name as the second book in “Kingkiller Chronicles” by Patrick Rothfuss (a home-state native of Wisconsin) 🤘😎🤘

You should check out their songs Grey King, Codex, and Vitality. I think their first 2 albums are much better than their newer stuff but their overall discography is amazing.
You and your lady should do Bleed by Meshuggah, it took the drummer over 6 months to learn that song, he had to learn a whole new style of drumming!
So glad you did the second song, not sure how you feel about it but I thought Firefall was like "the breakdown" of the album with the rest of it not being as heavy. I still enjoyed the album and the flute breakdown caught be so off guard, great addition to the variety of the album.

I still say you should do a reaction to Instilled In Me. Sounds like it would be right up your alley. The vocalist definitely has an interesting vocal pattern to his verses. You won't be disappointed.

One day sir you should check out more Oceans Ate Alaska, my recommendation would be Blood Brothers, that song slaps imo. Excellent work as always and I dig the double review format and the cheesy intros have been top notch so far👌🏻

Firefall being nothing but breakdowns makes complete sense in the grand scheme of the story of the album, but definitely not the best introduction to the band. "What Went Wrong" is probably my favorite song off of this newest album from them.
You should check out Breath of the Wild by them, it's one of my favorites off their new album. It's probably their most diverse/varied song off the album i think.
Check out their songs Blackroot Forest, Deepest Dark, Cataclysm of the album before this one you will not be disappointed.

Not a great first impression for me, agree re the breakdowns, didn't really come across as great songwriting. Judging by some of the comments though this is atypical for them so will check out some of their other music
