The Wise Man's Fear is one of those bands where you REALLY cant judge them off of one song. All their songs are super different, not in genre but in the structure. They do a lot of "gimicky" fun stuff on each song thats different from the next one. In Tree of Life there's a flute solo, then they never do it again on another song. On Relics of Nihlux, theres that section with the R&B/hip-hop sort of vocals, and they never really do that again on another song. I think what's best about them is their creativity and the clear fact that they're having a lot of fun with their music and trying a lot of fun stuff.
Album is absolutely fantastic guys. Even if you don’t react to it, you should definitely check it out on your own time. The clean sections grew on me like wildfire haha. I love it! Anyways, keep up the great work boys!
Awesome, underrated band! looking forward to your reaction. you should do "tree of life" after this one, if you wanna hear a unique flute breakdown or Firefall for a banger
With them, for the lyrical content, you have to listen to all three albums in succession to figure out the whole story. The last three stories have been following the same storyline.
Why are people asking people to request to any song other than Tree of Life. That should be the first reaction to this band across the board.
Haha that breakdown is so great
The flute breakdown needs to be witnessed
Sands of Time is another banger off this album.
You guys gotta react to firefall by them featuring the vocalist of make them suffer
