My first Metro was an '89, paid $400 for it, drove it all winter smoking like crazy till the engine quit. Bought an engine/trans from a wreck with 32k miles on it for $200. 2 hours to change it by myself with no hoist. Ran perfect, plenty of power, quick, great in snow, and got 53 mpg! 3 banger stick. Wish I had it today...

Those little Geo Metro Cabrio have a "Blista Compact" vibe! I laughed when the yellow one started up like nothing ever happened to it, LOL 😂 Definitely keep the yellow one, you can't go wrong with a simple cabrio car with a manual and A/C 😎

Hi Randy, I had a 92 geometric hardtop. Those cars had 55 hp. Mine was an automatic and had air. You couldn’t keep the air running too long because it would make the car just overheat because it couldn’t handle it originally they had 12 inch rims with tires. I upgraded to 13 inch wheels. I had the same wheels that you have on the yellow one which I believe were American racing wheels. I love you to see you fixing this up. Brings me back to my very first days of driving in my first car.
All of the convertibles had 13" wheels as all of the 1995 and later models and with 12mm studs, while the 12" wheels used 10mm studs.. All had 55 horsepower except the XFi models which had 49 horsepower, but more fuel efficient than the base models. Base models had 4:10 gears, XFi had 3:79 gears, and convertibles had 4:39 gears. Later 1995+ models with the G13 engines had 3:52 gears.

We had them in the fleet in the rental company I work for. 4 Door Passenger and Cargo 600 lb including passenger family of 4 little on the heavy side that poor little car was struggling to move but it did move eventually. They were actually a pretty good rental rarely did we put one out of service they just went and went.
Randy, I so excited to see you working on the metro's I had never seen a convertible here in Belize. the four door ones are still being used as taxi., since the engine are small and less fuel is consumed. I wish you would bring them back to the glory days😂.

Thats a cool buy. I had a manual tracker it was a cool car.put a new top tires fluids and clean them up 50k miles that thing has a lot of life left
Love these Geo convertibles haven't seen one in pretty long time. Hopefully you can get them both running but the white one would be good for parts so the yellow one can keep on moving. Would love to see them both moving again though. Maybe you can also find parts to from other places as well possibly Randy. I can't wait for more videos on both of these! Appreciate it Randy!👍
I’ve been watching your videos for years, this is my favorite so far.
What a blast from the past! Love it!
Yaaay hi Randy I am glad your here
Randy, think the yellow one is in better shape. btw it's in the 60s, 70s all week in Maryland. We delt with high heat in June. Now it's your turn! Tag your it!!!!
We had them in the fleet in the rental company I work for. 4 Door Passenger and Cargo 600 lb including passenger family of 4 little on the heavy side that poor little car was struggling to move but it did move eventually. They were actually a pretty good rental rarely did we put one out of service they just went and went.
Start on the manual car first , my vote !👊🏾
You are crazy Randy! 😂 I'm glad you are enjoying these little "gems"!
I laughed so hard when all the crap in the air vents blew out when the fan was switched on.😆
This can be a great series! Throw some time at these...what fun little cars
Man these are classic, I think in near future these would go for crazy money
I agree 100% ! 😀
19:11 hearing that car actually crank on blew my freaking mind 🤣
Some cars want to live. That is what makes these videos interesting. And you already have a parts car. Maybe you can start the other one.
Great video, Brandon. It would be great to see one get fixed up and drivable.
Much love from KENYA 🇰🇪 EAST AFRICA
Randy, I so excited to see you working on the metro's I had never seen a convertible here in Belize. the four door ones are still being used as taxi., since the engine are small and less fuel is consumed. I wish you would bring them back to the glory days😂.
Wow unbelievable congrats was looking forward to seeing the geos
I’m excited to see them both on the road great video.
You bought them you sick bastard 😂 I love it
These are cute looking cars never seen them. Loving the content Randy. Glad your still you tubing
Hey Randy, I just got done watching your video on the Geos the yellow Geo in the White deal. It’s pretty exciting that you got the yellow one yellow and black one running and driving even though they have flat tires can’t wait to see your next video on both cars I hope you have a wonderful afternoon and a wonderful evening. I’ll be looking out for your next video. Talk to you soon man
There are a couple of the convertibles that I know of in the NGA and WNC area. Love those little cars. My husband and I had the Geo Tracker. Loved that thing.
Kinda ruff looking repo's you got there Randy.
A girl I was seeing many moons ago had a smurf blue one. I believe she had the 4cyl. Cool find Randy 👍🫡
I'm looking forward to seeing you work on these
back in high school one of my friends had this car, not the convertible version but still, i can't tell you how much fun was had zipping all over town with 5 people in it. lol brings back some good memories. Just saying if you're going to restore these or even one of them I'm in just for the nostalgia alone. plus they are convertibles so there's that. lol
Thanks!
Thank you!
@@AutoAuctionRebuilds you’re welcome! don’t retire Randy, love your videos 😆
Got DAMN Randy say it ain't so?! You MUST have got these 2 Geo TURDS out the Trash can ! 🤣This shyt so FUNNY! This is gonna be both HELL and FUN at the SAME time seeing U clean these TURDS up! 🤣 Here is the real deal though; GEO's were FANTASTIC for gas Mileage! The hatchback Geo use to get OVER 50 Miles to the Gallon straight stock and super easy to work on so may NOT be a total loss! I'm ROOTIN for U my man ! 😀👍🏾
Is a street legal Go Cart!!!!! I got 3!!!
