Thanks for your thoughts. I've really missed my Evo 2 Pro since selling it, partly because support went to to hell after Autel released the Lite & Nano Series. It wasn't particularly good before. 3 MONTHS to open a case and they didn't fix my issue; horrible range, video drop out at 1500-1700 FEET on Evo 2 Pro V2 + V2 Smart Controller. NOT the best $3900 I ever spent. Fortunately they're STILL running sales from pre-Christmas so I got am Evo Lite + Premium bundle for 35% off. $1250 out the door. At that number, I'm willing to take a look, especially since they've had almost a year to release tweaks/fixes. For Autel that's a rush job, lol. Loved the 6k (that's 5.4K) camera on E2P, and this is an EVOlution of that, so I'm expecting great imaging. This will be my only drone without an inbuilt Screen Controller, unfortunately the new Autel Smart Controller SE 6.4-Inch is only compatible with V3 Evo Pro/Dual/Enterprise aircraft. Come on Autel, can you not make a Transmission system that supports more than one series of drones? I like the Tri-band, but they build every series with unique Transmission systems. I know they are tiny compared to DJI, but that's MORE reason to cross-pollinate platforms. Sorry for the novel length comment, but that "let's build an improved drone, by scrapping everything thar came before it" is weird and NOT the way to customer loyalty, in my opinion. That plus the public explanation of the V2 chip swap came across as very sketchy. Pretty sure it wasn't what they claimed. Whew! Big exhale! Rant finished. Excited for my Lite + arrival; either the eternal optimist, or biggest sucker. Thankfully there's the Amazon 30 days return policy, but I'm not planning to use it.
Yeah, Autel is also under new management that is taking some time to fix what was broken before. There were a lot of family members running a company and doing nothing. Their V2 chipset was simply derived literally from a chip shortage so they had to go a different route hence the v2 and v3. I’m still in the V1 and still enjoy this drone and I still fly the heck out of my Autel Plus. Congrats on your new drone. You’ll love it. Happy New Year from Florida.
@SeanHelmsMedia Thanks Sean. Yep, I expect outstanding imagery from this one. Glad to know your still enjoying yours! I do wish they offered a controller with a display, but with current models running @ 2.4, 2.7, 5.2, 5.8mhz transmission systems all in play among platforms they have not to mention 900, they have a lot going on. The public story on chipsets was what I was referring to. After the (very) short tenure of Randal Warnas, I am of the opinion that "chip shortage" while a real thing, was only part of the story and getting off the US Government blacklist was the primary reason for switching chips. Of course they HAD to tell a palatable story to customers on the old hardware, now that it was on the "Entity List" Taking politics, National security and economic issues out of the picture (is that even possible?) I hink Autel builds incredible hardware, uses top tier components, but struggles delivering a seamless, fully polished software and firmware. Thus I've never even considered buying the Lite/Lite+ & Nano/Nano+ until at least a year has transpired. PS you made me wonder why I insisted on the Orange! I Love it, and the Grey does nothing for me, but that White is sharp! Not sure how I feel about the whitewashed Carbon Fiber, but those front lights! They remind me of the 1940's tricked out "BlueDot" Saphire Glass inserts on taillights! Not going to look as spectacular on Orange, but every Halloween, I've got you beat, lol!
The lite plus seems like a really great drone. And I've got to say, I really love your reviews and everything about them. Keep up the good work. I'm really looking forward to even more reviews. And for the night time clips, you can try to click on the flood lights, as they are the brightest part of the whole clip, it might be able to then calm the brightness down a bit.
I’ve seen a couple of leak videos and I love their new idea for front and back obstacle avoidance cameras. It looks like they went with a very new design which I love. Can’t wait to see if they actually release the remote with it without the built in screen.
Nice video. Enjoyed. Loving my Orange Evo, but can see white- so different than DJI gray. I was in Cocoa Bch a few days ago, very windy- and super restricted airspace. Did manage to fly on the beach , for a good early morning flight. Enjoy!!!!

Good quick review. I'm sure there will be more to follow. Really liked the creative intro. I'm surprised you don't have more subscribers. Well; you have one more now. As an E2P owner I wish they would incorporate the color science and night modes of the Lite+ into the E2P.
There has been discussion of making some adjustments to the E2P in an upcoming firmware. I sure hope they add some more features. I do love my E2P. Thanks for going me. I’ve been working so hard to be more creative lately. I’ll try not to disappoint. Have a nice weekend.
@@SeanHelmsMedia Hey Sean do you think the Autel Lite plus would be ok for commercial work. Just wondering which drone is your favorite out of the evo 2 pro or the lite plus ?.
The Evo 2 pro is going to be more complete that the newly released Lite plus for obvious reasons. For the slightly snaller form factor, and the refined out-of-camera images both video and photo, and long battery life the lite can rise to the occasion as it is but will also get better over time. I have a gut feeling their next firmware is going to be quite surprising in a good way. The E2P is better in wind by far, but has surround obstacle avoidance and will not prevent you from taking off due ti the geo fencing. The lite hasn’t clearly announced that they will implement fencing but at least you know you can with the E2P. The flat profile from the E2P is also 10bit and easy to grade. Hope that helps.
@@SeanHelmsMedia Thanks Sean may i ask if you have noticed any flickering in the image when filming in sun with the autel lite. I know that some pro users drones suffered from this .
All I’ve seen is prop wash where the angle of the sun shines through the props into the camera. This usually happens with not planning the shot in regards to the suns position. I’m not saying that this what they are seeing but I’ve also heard this happens when the camera angle is above 0 degrees. I’ve not had any issues at all with flickering.
Yea sir but the hardware is solid. The firmware should eventually make this a beast. I had the Nano and sent it back. It had hardware limitations that no firmware would ever to be able to fix like its top speed. This drone is fast enough for me. Have a good weekend.
@@SeanHelmsMedia Agreed! My wish list is all software-related: histogram, distance and speed options for the quickshots, and the addition of something like DJI's Tapfly quickshot, which I use alot on my M2P. I'm hoping Autel comes through with these. Thanks again!

Hey Sean, How have you been focusing with this drone? Does auto focus work well? I’ve had some issues with manual focus, probably because I got so used to the peaking threshold feature on my Mavic 2 Pro. Thanks!
I have had zero problems with auto focus sir. My very first Autel E2Pro had issues with auto focus and I sent it back. When I got it back, it was amazing. I love using manual focus (for effect) and haven’t played around with it on this drone much when I did, it was as responsive as any other properly working drone within this wheel house. I’ve hard an unfortunate interaction with Autel and they have suffered a degrade in customer service due to family/leadership issues.
