Josh said he did know one of them, I guess it’s possible they could’ve seen them climbing before even if they didn’t personally know each other? Not difficult to recognise regulars at the gym. Also, most importantly, isn’t it extra entertaining to watch them in the morph suits.
It's only extra entertaining because of the idea that someone behind the mask wasn't a stranger. Kind of a fraudulent feeling left at the end when they really were just all strangers
Sent my second V7 today, new years resolution to have climbed a couple v8s by the end of the year. As always love the content, can't get enough of climbing and your videos always put me right back into the climbing mindset.
@@EdselsBakedGoods I don't know to be honest. I think that can be a personal choice. Some people say if you climb 3 of a grade then you are a *** climber but I just say I have climbed *** :)
@@EdselsBakedGoodsProbably if you're consistent at a grade. I've done two v8's but I'm more comfortable calling myself a v6 climber because I can almost always consistently climb v6 whereas the v7s have to be in my style/preference, same with v8.
@@JoshRundle would be tough with me. I climbed long time. And climbed quite high. 7c8a But have been injured last couple of years and haven't trained or climbed for 6-8 months. So now I barley can climb 6c XD. It's so tough on the mind to not climb what u know u can XD
James is very bad at game theory. After getting the lead after the first correct guess he had a obvious dominant strategy to simply repeat all the same grades as Josh, leaving him no chance. If the guess is right, both get one point, maintaining James' lead. It the guess is wrong, nobody gets a point, still maintaining James' lead. I was really surprised he didn't went for that even for the final two climbers, where he was clearly tempted to guess the same grades. :)
I didn’t cut her out, she finished the last bit of the boulder whilst I started to introduce the ad. I didn’t remember because there were lots of people we watched and I also have a terrible memory haha and don’t forget the ad was not filmed after her climb 😃.
it feels like this videos idea didn't get fully cooked, like you didn't need to put them in green suits just to watch them climb and guess what grade they were climbing, great video still but I'm sure the whole idea for the video could've been better thought out

We had the green suites because some of the participants who were climbing I knew. so it was so I didn’t know who they were otherwise I would have known what grade they climbed. My friend organised all the participants too so I didn’t know who anyone was. I think you’re right though I could have done a better job. If I do the same concept I’ll make sure to do better 😃

I usually really like your videos, and a big part of that is your sense of humor. But sarcasm and laughing at yourself is one thing, trashing others and calling them names is pretty low quality humor. It didn’t feel like fun, it felt these people got bullied while trying hard with limited vision.
Sorry you felt like that. A few of them are my friends and they know it was all just jokes. We weren’t making fun of them trying hard or their climbing, they all did amazingly . We were just having a laugh with them at how difficult it was in the morph suites to climb. Sorry it came across like that it was all meant in good humour. The names were just a joke and they all know that and thought they were funny.

Sorry tried my best. Everyone’s got a different sense of humour I guess and other people seemed to find it funny. Just so you know all the people in the video didn’t mind the jokes and found them funny so no feelings were hurt and it was all in good humour 😊
I think you guys focus on the time spent climbing too much. I did calisthenics before climbing and it took me exactly one year to send my first V8. I could easily do V6s and even flash them sometimes with only a year of experience. Heel hooks, drop knees, bat hangs, toe hook, smears, all 4 flags etc. were all part of the progression and I have a handle on them all. You could easily climb like Rab after 2 years of training without any lying involved. Not everyone takes years to learn basic climbing techniques. I sent my first V6 in just a few months of climbing.
