Thx for the video. For live performances, I’ll be using my MacBook Pro loaded with virtual instruments with my YC88. Connecting the two with one cable is crazy efficient! Hats off to Yamaha.

Wish you were around in the early 1990s to explain MIDI to me. Took me so many hours to figure that out with the cables, software, etc. Was leery to try but now feel empowered to give it a go. I even found a spare USB cable in my office that was the correct style! Must be a sign to get going.
I am extremely happy that I can record MIDI along with audio. Let's just say that I "fat finger" more than I like, and this allows me to go into my DAW and fix the errors. Sweet! Thanks for this video, much appreciated.
I love your YC videos! How do you keep track of which page a specific live sound is stored on during a gig? I use an iPad on top of the YC to see which pages and live set numbers correspond to the desired sound. On my other keyboard (Montage), I can easily read from the large display which sounds are assigned to each song. I'd love to hear how you manage with a smaller display on stage.
Have you noticed that there are some serious problems with the volume levels on the YC. Fx. to playback at the same volume as the recording you will have to set the USB-audio level to 127 - but doing so makes other thins you have recorded from other sources way too loud.
This feature allows you to take something like Mainstage and use it with the Yamaha YC making live use even better for the Yamaha YC series! Very detailed description really as I wanted to ask the yamaha cp 88 or any piano with USB interface can do this? Yamaha cp88?
Hi all just purchased a YC88. Very Festive!. I wonder if I can trigger the amazing H1 organ voice via an external keyboard and have the YC itself play a piano voice....I can't afford two. Any help would be much appreciated. With Thanks Dave in Keremeos
In your opinion which board is a better "all in one" for gigging, YC or NS4? I have the YC88 & love the keybed action but the "other" sounds aren't as strong as the APs, EPs & organ than say... the NS4? Thanks
This capability is great. I have run into an issue. When controlling a plugin like the mainstage, the transpose (button) from the YC doesn't send that info to the plugin (mainstage) it only changes the YC notes but not the plugin. Do you know why this is happening?
Question regarding the audio interface, on cp88 is it possible to record the audio input with the CP 88 audio interface currently I have dx7 audio Running through the CP 88 input is it possible to record the dx7 With the CP 88 is there a setting somewhere I’ve missed?
Can you do this with the yc zones to control multiple vsts live at the same time? To be clear, i dont want to layer them, i want them to play two different voices at the same time
I have been really disappointed that YC61 Digital Audio Interface does not support 48 kHz sampling rate and is only 16bit. There are some organ VSTs that require at least 48 kHz (96 kHz recommended).
True. However the CP goes a step further by allowing the audio input of the CP to be looped into the usb audio path. My hope is that Yamaha allows this feature in the YC via firmware update.

Yamaha did a great job with the YC and its USB handling both MIDI and audio.

I think the midi 1 and 2 on the YC are the USB midi and trhe DIN midi ports. YC1 is USB midi, YC2 is DIN midi.

Can you use the organ drawbars as volume sliders?
