- In this video i'll show you how you can easily find your face shape to help you pick the glasses that fit you best! (or other things) I have been working on this project with Zenni Optical for the past year and together we created a series of video tips along with an amazing fool-proof QUIZ that you can take in order to help YOU determine what face shape you are!

Maybe you can show an example cos these face shapes are universal that's why everyone covers these shapes.
@@heidimichael1286 face shapes are NOT universal, there are 7 billion people in the world, it's impossible there are only 8 moulds for a face... This is a form of labeling anf typology, a lot of people has mixed shapes. For example I have oval face but my jaw is slightly angular, so that would place me between oval and rectangle.

Heart shape (most likely) has a widow's peak, and the forehead seems to be the widest part of your face. From what I've seen, the forehead could be same width or slightly smaller (maybe around a cm?) than your cheekbone.
For diamond faceshape, your forehead is alot smaller than your cheekbones.

Tbh no one has a perfect face shape, most (all) of the time they're a mix of 2 or more. The examples they gave in the vid was actually not that accurate cuz their hair was still covering the sides of their face, making their face look more oval. A tip I would give you is to kind of find something all of the faceshape you fit together. Like, I have an Oval/Heart/Round face. Bc oval is a universal faceshape, I work with round & heart. For my hairstyle, I cover the sides of my forehead with my hair like for a heart faceshape, and I show the mid of my forehead like for a round faceshape. As for glasses, I don't really use glasses, but glass frames that fits me is the rectangular glasses, like for circle face.

For commenters still struggling to understand their shape, it may help to understand that our faces aren't made with a shape stamp and many people don't perfectly fit a category, but are a blend instead. For example, I'm a rounded square.
As a rounded square, I do always need large or oversized frames vs. small ones, but I can pull off rectangle or round frames as long as the round frames have a hard straight line across the top to add some structure.
Another thing that can be confusing is with shapes where they say "as wide as it is long". It's not exactly 1:1, the face is usually still longer than it is wide, but the proportion is smaller than with other face shapes.
In fact, since most of us naturally have a sense of what looks good on us, figuring out your face shape can be easier by working backwards. Spend a couple hours in an eye-glass shop trying on glasses and notice what flatters you and what doesn't. Then compare what you liked and didn't like to face shape recommendations and see if the shape(s) you land on make sense as your face. Good luck!

My face is an oval shape and it's NO WAY for me wearing something rectangular 'cause in such kind of frames I look like a MAN XDDDD And I look cool in cat eye and round(ish) frames. So not only a face shape is an option to choose a right glasses frame. It also depends on the face features

Super helpful video & quiz, Silvia! Since I am late to the party lol (4 years to be exact😉), I had a hard time finding the quiz following the link you provided, but after a quick google search it popped right up. I have struggled to find my face shape over the years (used to think I was heart-shaped, then oval), but after taking your quiz (which by the way is the best one I’ve taken and I’ve taken a lot) and using the Omni Calculator to confirm the results, I can confidently say that I am a pear/triangle. Since this face shape is not as common, I think people forget to talk about it or include it as much in their face shape info/quizzes, so I am so grateful that you did. I will definitely be recommending your video & quiz to others and suggesting they use the calculator I mentioned to confirm their results. My measurements for reference: length-7”, forehead-5.5”, cheekbones-6”, & jaw-8”. Thanks again!😊
I know this is an older video, but something to point out is depending on how strong your prescription is will determine what type of frames you can get. If your prescription is higher than a + 8.0 or lower than a - 8.0 your lenses will be too heavy for rimless, half rimless, and thinner frames even with ultra thin lenses. Also you'll want to sticker to smaller frames so there's less lense space, making them weigh less than a huge frames lenses would.

After trying to figure out my face shape for like a year I finally got it. I’m a triangle/pear. That explains why my jaw looks so wide sometimes. This is a good video on face shapes but takes time learning the differences of the face. I use to find them all the same lol

I have been wearing the same Ray Bans since 2017 and I feel like it doesn’t look exactly right and I have an eye appointment next Wednesday so I want to use that opportunity to find the right frames for my face shape. Howwww to know your face shape
A) use a ruler to measure the length of your face as in from forehead to chin ,IN INCHES not cm , then divide it by 3
In my case my face is 6.3 inches divided by 3 is 2.1
B) measure your face from your nose to your chin , in my case it’s 2.3
SOLUTION: if A is greater than B you prolly have a long face or Spuare face and these two are different enough in which you can differentiate them
2) if B is greater than A you have a round or diamond shape and these two are different enough in which you can differentiate them
3) if the measures are equal you have either a heart shaped face or oval shaped face and these two are different enough in which you can differentiate them

I have a oval face and circle glasses
I noticed in my own face and other heart shaped faces that a widow's peak tend to be a dead give away, it literally traces a heart. The chin will always be narrow or even come to a point. Even when I gain weight, my face will look more round and fuller but when I smile you can still notice that my chin is narrow.
