ellebangs lol thanks, yeah I realised eventually but for each eye it was different ie. Drew with one eye shut then when I closed the other eye it was wonky.. Not sure what that says about my eyesight :p
+Scarlet Peoni that's normal you have a "dominant" eye, so if you close one eye it moves the picture from when you have both eyes open, and one eye doesn't move the picture. I don't think I explained that very well but I think you can probably look it up
i have a very round face, no lie. like literally a circle. i did the mirror thing lol. buuuut i got a really short haircut yesterday and i love it, it looks great. so people with round faces can get short hair. i think it's just a matter of getting the right haircut
Ahh sorry to have left oblong shape out, didn;t want to confuse people with oval face shape. Oblong face shape: // so similar, the only thing needed is to add volume to the sides of your face, with waves or texture, void adding too much volume to the top. that would just give you more length. And a side part if very flattering to this shape as well!

I have a square face. I had long hair for a while with bangs, I hated how my hair looked flat, and I felt like they actually did not cover my square face. I decided to cut my hair short, I went for a bob. The best decision I've made. Sometimes it's better to enhance than hide, I was tired of the security blanket that was my hair. Just do you, you don't have to always follow the rules.

I have a super square jaw, and love my pixie cut - I feel like a little elven creature with wispy hair, and although I was self conscious about my jaw at first, now I like the shape of my jaw - I like the fact I look different . I have also had a chin length cut which I also loved a lot, and it softened my jaw , so this does not apply to everyone by any means - get the cut you want, and rock it
yeah, I have an incredibly square jaw, and I love my short cut to round my jaw, and I've had a pixie cut before that made my square jaw actually look nicer than normal. I coukdnt imagine having long hair ever again
Arwen in general this was made as a guide for women that want to present more feminine. I don’t know what your preferences are but IF by chance you do want to look more masculine, then a pixie cut (one of the ones where the hair flows upward, not flat) with square face is great for achieving that!
Yeah there's all these technicalities of face shape, but if you are confidant in the fact that you can pull something off, then it'll look great to everyone els. :)

I have a heart-shape face and I find that side bangs and a side part look the most flattering on me for some reason. Jennifer Love Hewitt is a good example of a heart-shaped face with a side part/bangs. I think a good idea would be to look at celebrities that have your face shape and take note of their haircuts to see if you like it/don't like it as a guidline.

I have an oval face shape, but I would say neck length, nose size/length, chin (length from lip to chin) etc. all need to be taken into account with say hair styles and glasses. I think ellebangs and other talented hairdressers have a gift to see this along with face shape.

For people who don't have an oval face shape, it's like your saying that there is something wrong with having a round face & that it should be hidden. This isn't a video for best hair style in accordance with hair shape.. this is more like a how to achieve a more what YOU think is "ideal" or oval looking. Obviously when a round face has a round blowout is matches more. I don't know what your thoughts were (obviously) or intentions when making this video, but yo have to understand that from Adam & Eve and now we are billions of people who are different, you can't be like oh this make your face less round or oh this shows your square jawline, well dahhh it's a face. Nothing is missing from the face, people aren't copies of each other including twins. God's creations are perfect & no human can even get as near as cresting something similar. This is an example of globalization or ideology that can destroy our normal/natural understanding of life. Faces are beautiful when their "people" are beautiful. No "attack" or hate or anything, again I don't what your intentions were, but whether they were good or bad the result is more or less the same because the message is one. I think features are beautiful and face shapes are too, but having hair a certain length creates a visual line wherever the hair ends and vertical lines where the hair hangs down. If these lines are in particular places they can draw attention to or away from a facial or body feature in a way which might look strange. The same way we try to carefully take photos, so there isn't any distracting object off to the edge of the photo, or we might avoid a dark shadow cutting halfway across someone's face. Hair can be beautiful many lengths and styles. Choosing a haircut which won't create any distracting lines or cuts across the face lets someone's beauty stand out and not have lines distracting your attention.

i have one of those. in 40 years, I learned to get long layers starting between the hollow of your cheek and your jaw line. you need volume, and very long limp hair would make it look worse than it is. Bob looks good too. Look at Sarah Jessica Parker with her just past shoulder length hair, and then her curly Bob. so cute.
I think I have a heart face and I've found that bangs just work best on me in general and while I like doing side swept often, I also think a full bang works well enough just as long as they' don't cover my eyebrows and are somewhat wispy and are swept to one side even if they're not parted if that makes sense lol.

I am somewhere between the oval and the diamond... but I have really big glasses and they make my face look more oval, because they are hiding my cheak bones. Now I know why I look so totally different without glasses. And I need a hairstyle that works for diamond too....

I have a heart-shape face and I find that side bangs and a side part look the most flattering on me for some reason. Jennifer Love Hewitt is a good example of a heart-shaped face with a side part/bangs. I think a good idea would be to look at celebrities that have your face shape and take note of their haircuts to see if you like it/don't like it as a guidline.

I have an oval face shape, but I would say neck length, nose size/length, chin (length from lip to chin) etc. all need to be taken into account with say hair styles and glasses. I think ellebangs and other talented hairdressers have a gift to see this along with face shape.

For people who don't have an oval face shape, it's like your saying that there is something wrong with having a round face & that it should be hidden. This isn't a video for best hair style in accordance with hair shape.. this is more like a how to achieve a more what YOU think is "ideal" or oval looking. Obviously when a round face has a round blowout is matches more. I don't know what your thoughts were (obviously) or intentions when making this video, but yo have to understand that from Adam & Eve and now we are billions of people who are different, you can't be like oh this make your face less round or oh this shows your square jawline, well dahhh it's a face. Nothing is missing from the face, people aren't copies of each other including twins. God's creations are perfect & no human can even get as near as cresting something similar. This is an example of globalization or ideology that can destroy our normal/natural understanding of life. Faces are beautiful when their "people" are beautiful. I think features are beautiful and face shapes are too, but having hair a certain length creates a visual line wherever the hair ends and vertical lines where the hair hangs down. If these lines are in particular places they can draw attention to or away from a facial or body feature in a way which might look strange. The same way we try to carefully take photos, so there isn't any distracting object off to the edge of the photo, or we might avoid a dark shadow cutting halfway across someone's face. Hair can be beautiful many lengths and styles. Choosing a haircut which won't create any distracting lines or cuts across the face lets someone's beauty stand out and not have lines distracting your attention.

i have one of those. in 40 years, I learned to get long layers starting between the hollow of your cheek and your jaw line. you need volume, and very long limp hair would make it look worse than it is. Bob looks good too. Look at Sarah Jessica Parker with her just past shoulder length hair, and then her curly Bob. so cute.

I think I have a heart face and I've found that bangs just work best on me in general and while I like doing side swept often, I also think a full bang works well enough just as long as they' don't cover my eyebrows and are somewhat wispy and are swept to one side even if they're not parted if that makes sense lol.

I am somewhere between the oval and the diamond... but I have really big glasses and they make my face look more oval, because they are hiding my cheak bones. Now I know why I look so totally different without glasses. And I need a hairstyle that works for diamond too....
