Just to say thank you. I have a 2013 A6 2.0 Tdi that displayed the same faults as you commented. I replaced the same relay and the car turns over every time.
Nothing old fashioned about your way . Simply check the easiest first and the tap and pull method . You know what you are doing . For me this is a great video . Not overcomplicate things and use common sense

I have heard of this problem with relay for fuel pump. I have Skoda superb mk1 1.9Tdi with no com's to Ecu car will start will not start when hot. Think relay is 219 fuel pump I have scanned with VCDS. I will check this again tomorrow. Thanks mate for your useful video.👍

simular problem with my '05 A6 3.0Tdi. had sunroof leak, can't get it to start normally, replaced starter motor, no changes, hope some grounding issue, maybe will try to trace everything back in the floor. or again under the steering column. :(

Hi Not sure what else that relay powers up without checking diagrams... Best way, is, check diagrams and see what or where the powers and grounds for the tcu comes from... CAN line are the next thing to check, if the powers and grounds are ok at the TCU multiplug... 👍👍👍

If you have a fuse that blows, you need to start by finding what is the cause of that... could be a short, a bad module somewhere... But you need to find that... The console not working, might be related to that, so tackle that first... 👍👍👍

Without engine type is difficult to tell... But, I would guess that that would have a mode somewhere near the fans, that is controlled most likely via LIN bus by the engine ecu... Thank you for watching!
Hello, it seems I have very similar issue, lots of errors on dash, cannot change gears, no communication with TCM. Only difference is that car starts and shuts down immediately. How do I know if relay is bad?
Just an update. I have replaced the relay and it worked! For a day... next day in the morning I had the same issue again. Any idea what could be causing this?
I would say, was probably not the relay, but something in the area that you have touch or moved while changing the relay... check connections etc in there...
I have an A6 C7 aswell but with the V6 Petrol engine. I habe checked it and saw that it has several 645 Relays also someone mentioned to check the 645 Relay under the steering wheel. Do you have an idea which one to replace?
I got TPMS / ABS / ESP / Air Suspension / Parking Brake Fault errors then took my car to a local garage who cleaned the abs sensors and dried them which made the errors go away only to return back in 2-3 days. Since then it has been on and off they would appear and disappear. When I have these errors the air suspension would tighten up and lock so the car would get very bouncy and stiff. (kinda convinced it has to do with some connection or dirt issue) please do help what will be the issue😔

What about checking the basics before start to replace parts? Like wiring, connectors, fuses, etc... As can see, throwing parts at it, can become expensive very quickly... Good luck... 👍👍👍

Start by checking fuses etc... If all that good, go to the module and check powers and grounds there, if all good, check communication lines, if all good, could be a bad module... 👍👍👍

Hey I have an issue with my a6 c7, basically when theres some in the back seat or somthing heavy on there all the lights on the dash come on. Traction,tire,auto brakes go off an start stop goes off. When i reset it after a few mins they all go away. Only happens when something heavy on back seats or sometimes in boot. Any ideas? Other then that the car drives perfect

Hey there i have one question I have audi q7 3.0 2011 model Recently serviced and battery changed after few days car was unable to get motion once brakes were lifted Unless we hit the accelerator till 1500rpm then the car moves with a jerk And a engine and heater light blink once for fraction of a second And now rpm dips when hit the gas paddle in idel rpm with the same engine and heater light just for a fraction of the second Now car is with the service center for 2 weeks now with no fault code Please help 🙏

Hi mate ! I have the same issue with my Audi A6 2017 but the engine starts good. But the errors comes ABS,ESP,AIR BAG,hand brake,tyre presure and audi adaptive light. Can it be a relay failure ? Hi Rizwan, I ended up taking it to the dealer and they found was one of the wires going to the ECU was cutted. I recomend strip the insulation of the wires going to the ECU as much as you can and check all the relays. There are relays where the ECU is located , under the stering wheel location and trunk right side. Hope you find the issue.

Hi, i have checked the power and ground to the ecu with test light and it does have power but still no communication to the ecu, should i checked the relays or this is enough to ruled them out?
@@LMAutoRepairs yes there are 5 power wires and 3 ground wires from the ECU T94 slot. Today I have bench tested them relays too, and it clicks normally. All fuses are intact. I have no idea what to check next
@@LMAutoRepairs big thank you for keeping up with me sir. I have measured the load side and the pin out from the ECU including ground, it's reading at 12.4V so i guess this has got to be a fried ECU then. I have not tested the K-line from the ECU since i dont have the tools to do so.
@@LMAutoRepairs oh and i forgot to mention, this test was done on a 2012 VW Golf R with only 67000km on the clock and no tune, i am quite frustrated at this point and not sure why this would happen out of sudden. Prior to new year i was driving the car normally when suddenly it shut down leaving me stranded in the middle of the road. I have to push the car to the side just to be safe. I no longer cant start the car, no CEL when i twist the key to ign, but the CEL only lit a mere 3 second after that with the fans running at max. Crank but no start, and the fuel pump didnt prime like it used to. I only drive the car once every weekend, my bet is probably low voltage.

I got audi a4 with faulty ECU, gues what... all ECU was coroded, because of water around... drains was blocked by shit... imagine when it is winter and water freezes, it damages sealant and U have disaster. German engineeering...
I have Audi A6 C7 2012 error code u011500 lost communication ECM/PCM B and U020900 lost communication seat control module B and u101400 control module corectly coded I have measured all fuses and checked all relays I cannot find the error can anyone help

@@LMAutoRepairs Audi of Dallas ecm is under extended warranty 2 they refused to fix it could not articulate what was actually wrong with the harness and tried to charge me 1800$ for a diagnostic that we never gave consent for

And once I unplugge EGR EVERYTHING IS FINE CAR DOSENT DIP

I got error code U100 no communication with ECM. Everything works and cranks but no start. (Q7 2011 3.0 gas) Could be relays as well??
Possibly... check fuses and obviously relays... check power and grounds at the ecu plug...

Hi mate ! I have the same issue with my Audi A6 2017 but the engine starts good. But the errors comes ABS,ESP,AIR BAG,hand brake,tyre presure and audi adaptive light. Can it be a relay failure ? Please answer me as im desperate.
The mechanic put the tester and gave ABS pump and after right front ABS sensor malfunction… ive change that and no result. Thank you !

@@LMAutoRepairs comes along with the parking brake,hold assist,audi adaptive light,start/stop . C101B14 wheel speed sensor front right Open/short circuit to ground. Ive change the abs sensor and nothing…and today ive change the Ball bearing wheel front right as a “mechanic” said is that part thats why doesnt have a connection… and ive change that also… and no result. Im desperate as i dont know how to fix this problem that i have. Can you tell me about the codes ? Maybe you know what is going on 😶😒 thank you mate
Without checking it is difficult to say...
I would possibly focus on the wheel speed sensor...
Check/measure wiring from the sensor to the ABS unit...

ECU shows no error message but the TCU gave me these:

U40100
Could this be a Similar case?
Difficult to tell... "U" codes are usually communication related... a shorted CAN can definitely cause all sort of problems...

Hi , i have exact same issues on my 2013 A6 2.0 Gas. I checked all relays like shows on the video but still nothing. I have all lights, esc ,tpms, transmission parking brake etc on the dash. No crack and no communication. Any idea what might be wrong with it? Can it be the starter ? I appreciate your answer
Doubt the starter... if you have no comms...
Check power and grounds, can lines etc...

Hi Rizwan, I ended up taking it to the dealer and they found was one of the wires going to the ECU was cutted.
I recomend strip the insulation of the wires going to the ECU as much as you can and check all the relays.
There are relays where the ECU is located , under the stering wheel location and trunk right side.
Hope you find the issue.

Hi, i have checked the power and ground to the ecu with test light and it does have power but still no communication to the ecu, should i checked the relays or this is enough to ruled them out?
There is more than one "power" wire into the ecu...

@@LMAutoRepairs yes there are 5 power wires and 3 ground wires from the ECU T94 slot. Today I have bench tested them relays too, and it clicks normally. All fuses are intact. I have no idea what to check next
The click of the relays, only shows that the solenoid is working... you need to measure the load side when the relay is closed..
@@LMAutoRepairs big thank you for keeping up with me sir. I have measured the load side and the pin out from the ECU including ground, it's reading at 12.4V so i guess this has got to be a fried ECU then. I have not tested the K-line from the ECU since i dont have the tools to do so.
@@LMAutoRepairs oh and i forgot to mention, this test was done on a 2012 VW Golf R with only 67000km on the clock and no tune, i am quite frustrated at this point and not sure why this would happen out of sudden. Prior to new year i was driving the car normally when suddenly it shut down leaving me stranded in the middle of the road. I have to push the car to the side just to be safe. I no longer cant start the car, no CEL when i twist the key to ign, but the CEL only lit a mere 3 second after that with the fans running at max. Crank but no start, and the fuel pump didnt prime like it used to. I only drive the car once every weekend, my bet is probably low voltage.

@@LMAutoRepairs the worst place for fuse box and relays... germans ar crazy nowadays... I got audi a4 with faulty ECU, gues what... all ECU was coroded, because of water around... drains was blocked by shit... imagine when it is winter and water freezes, it damages sealant and U have disaster. German engineeering...

I have Audi A6 C7 2012 error code u011500 lost communication ECM/PCM B and U020900 lost communication seat control module B and u101400 control module corectly coded I have measured all fuses and checked all relays I cannot find the error can anyone help
I am guessing you have no communications with the engine ecu, correct?

I would focus on coding the module first...
Disconnect the battery will most likely make no difference... but you have nothing to loose...

@@LMAutoRepairs Audi of Dallas ecm is under extended warranty 2 they refused to fix it could not articulate what was actually wrong with the harness and tried to charge me 1800$ for a diagnostic that we never gave consent for
