Loved the video, Wooooo. Came in hoping it'd be more about pairing the big aspects as like a cool primer for when you sit down and see base/leader aspect color, but got good information none-the-less! Thanks!
Awesome video. This will enable a lot of players to look at creating their own decks more instead of relying on content creators. Great summary. Will be using it to some deck building
Awesome video! I imagined every grade I would have given the colors before you say them out loud, and they were identical for everything except for Green Hero (I would have given them B- ) and Yellow Hero (I would rate it as B or even B+), even though carried a lot by Old Han, and Blue Hero (probably also B,or even B-). Slight differences, though. I agree that Green continues to be the strongest Villain color, and Red continues to be the strongest Hero color in the second set. Yellow is the color that feels strong for both overall, which is why people tend to overrate it a bit. I liked you essentially deconstructing the design philosophy behind Villain/Heroism aspects in particular. It helped me realize that they seem to have similar high level philosophy Decipher's Star Wars CCG had, where bad guys felt like they were stronger, more controlly, value, and big stuff oriented, Good guys were more about tricks, aggro/tempo/combo oriented with the good guys to win. It's not a straight 1 for 1, but the fact these colors play the way they feel like in the movies and shows is something I really appreciate. They have been hinting they might shift this paradigm with the next set, however! I'm also curious about color pairings ratings, as in isolation, it's hard to rate aspects themselves without taking into account decks they can be part of.
I appreciate the comment! I like the idea of discussing the color pairings but I do think the ratings would mostly just reflect what the top of the meta is.
This is pretty much spot on. I'm not sure I necessarily agreed with the premise last set that Heroism/Cunning (Spark, Leia, Han, Falcon) was the worst aspect combo, but it is pretty clear that Heroism/Command is worse off now overall despite having decent units, they have no real top end threats or removal. As you point out, Sabine doesn't really count.
Blue/White is kind of suffering because White in general has a way worse late game than Black, which makes slowing down the game very matchup dependant. Furthermore the early Blue/White units are directly worse than the Blue/Black ones. The whole color kind of depends on Red to gain a very strong late game (Krayt Dragon, Pillage) and strong board presence. Furthermore Young Han can shore up the weakness of early units.
Blue green hero could be cool, but they gave dark side every endgame threat besides Luke and home one which get answered by their units for free. Also OB and a board wipe lol
Best SWU creator out. I'd love see see a video of you talking about color pairs on both the heroic and villainy side
Greatly appreciated!

"Don't Get Cocky" is easily forgotten as the only Yellow removal card against units.

Yeah, the top end does not have the raw power that the blue villain has.
Which aspect do you think will get the most new tools next set?
I'm not sure. I do have a feeling that we will start seeing more "control" oriented cards for Heroism and more "aggro" cards for Villainy.
@@iamwooooo Gotcha! I could see that for sure with all the droids

As a Vader Green player, this hurts my feeling
:(
